WHY DID I WAKE UP AT 5 TUT )) "A pleasure." Oscar gave a small smile, he didn't realize that they were stalked by a girl half the time, but he ain't complaining. Oscar shrugs, the girl seemed too optimistic for this, I mean, the king is not THAT hot... hopefully. "And you are?" He looks the girl up and down, he can't tell if she was really this optimistic and trusting or she is very trickerey. Citrineנιηχχє∂
"Quinn." He answered plainly, stuffing his hands into his pockets and starting to follow where others were heading in order to gather. The black haired young man took a look behind him to check if Jay was going to follow or not. "I take it you dont like crowds?" His voice had a strange tone to it, teasing could describe it but it seemed a little meaner than a funny tease. More like a bit of mocking in his voice. Honestly, Quinn didnt like crowds too much either, but he didn't show that it bothered him like that. Theyre effective to get around and steal from.
"I'm Rose." She answered her name back. Her voice was light and happy, one would describe her aura as if she were a lovely spring day. "And I'm probably as new as you are," she added to Lucius' comment, "I have no ckue what this could be about and you two lookes about as lost as I am so i thought: 'Hey Rose, let's go up to those two and and we can be confused together!'" She balanced excitedly, shifting between the balls of her feet to the tips of her toes.

"Sounds like my type of plan." Oscar smirks, nontheless, it was good to know someone else is in this together. "You seem optimisstic about the whole situat ion, you must be very excited to meet the king." He gave a small mischevious wink, hinting at the small tease nut didn't really go futter.
"You could say that," Jay muttered, sighing quietly. Crowds gave him a headache, as they just made him hyper-aware of everybody around him moving. He liked to avoid running into people, so he always tried to be aware of the people around him. And in crowds, that just caused him to get headaches.
Still, he somehow had a sinking feeling that the stuff the king was going to be talking about included this whole spirit mess. He had a gut feeling about it.
--
"I wonder if he's young," Lucius wondered aloud. "Or like one of those graying old man or something." It wouldn't be surprising for a king to be older, after all. Lucius started walking, then. "So, Rose, if you're new, where are you from?" he asked, just to make sure if he'd interpreted it correctly. She'd sounded like she was like them, but one could never be sure enough.
Not to mention, it was best to get it out of the way before they were in the middle of a big crowd.
"I get it, but they are still useful. Especially when you have no idea where youre going." It wouldnt exactly be a good time if everything was barren and abandoned. Well, maybe a little with how scary it could get for others and Quinn could enjoy some quiet. But there was always a cut off eith those sorts of things, you need a balance of interaction and isolation.
Rose kept up, havung a light skip in her step as they walked and talked. "Oh so how I understood is this is another world than from where I'm from." She was pretty straightforward with her answer, and while it was definitely not the brightest idea to say it so obviously, she at least did lower her voice so passerby's wouldn't hear. Again, she put all this from a feeling on them being like them. It was too difficult to play it subtly, if she had a feeling she'd go with it; if there were consequences, she'd deal with then later.
Lucius gave a nervous smile. "Yeah, from another city," he said slowly, knowing that he wasn't sounding believable at all. God, he wasn't good at this. But before he could say more, a loud, booming voice interrupted him from a carriage.
"Hear ye, hear ye! Our most beloved king is going to be holding a speech outside the palace doors in about an hour's time! All people are asked to come witness his words!"
Lucius winced at the loud voice, furrowing his brows. A king? Where in the world was a palace here? He'd not seen it before. Maybe it was in the center of the city? Really, now that he thought about it, maybe the things he'd taken as the top of churches weren't really that. Who knew.
"Ahh, do you know what this is about? I'm new, after all," he said sheepishly.
Michaela shrugged. "We just gotta find money, then," she said, looking like she was already coming up with some kind of plan. "And yeah, no meat's fine, don't worry." They could just look for something without meat, really. There was sure to be something.
"Well, let's get out of here," she continued, moving to the end of the alley with a small smile. Still, once they emerged onto the wider streets again, the booming voice reached them as well.
"Hear ye, hear ye! Our most beloved king is going to be holding a speech outside the palace doors in about an hour's time! All people are asked to come witness his words!"
Michaela blinked as the carriage passed them, furrowing her brows. "Well, that's convenient," she muttered. "You guys wanna go there?"
(If I don’t reply right away ya’ll can continue on, I can catch up later ^^)
“This place has a king? A monarchy system or whatever...? Heh, might as welll.... maybe we can learn more about this place then just by lying low.” Peridot replied after the announcement which she hadn’t heard anything like that before or announced in such away unless on a tv channel back home which curiosity got the best of her about being in crowds that she might regret it later but learning more of this world might gain them insight in what they might expect outside the walls.
"Hmm...my favorite memory? I have too many to count, but i guess, it would be the memory of meeting all you and making friends here on the forums. :3" ”One day I’m going to sit down and make a list of all the books that I finished reading....” “It's going to be a long list...”

Oscar shrugs, "Its not something I want to hurt my head over, I'm sure we'll do fine whatever world we're in... or how old the king is." He pushed his glasses back onto the bridge of his nose subconsciously, sure, he wanted to get home, but it really wasn't THAT much of a priority, and if those two are so worried about it, stuff would probably sort itself out.
Jay knew where Quinn was coming from, but he still wasn't sure if the headache would be worth it. Still, in this situation, he knew that there was basically no other choice. "I suppose," he finally answered, crossing his arms in front of his chest. At least they wouldn't look suspicious if they went there.
In itself, Jay knew that he could keep himself around the edge of the crowd, where the most excited ones would probably be at the front, pushing to get a better look. Jay himself had no real want or need to see anybody clearly.
The further they followed the people, the bigger the crowds got. Jay did pause to stare up at the palace for a good moment, though, when he finally caught sight of it. It really was a large thing, and one could not even enter the large gardens without having to pass through the gates, which were currently locked, with guards standing outside of it.
Lucius shrugged. "Well, seems like we get pulled to each other, even though we're not a lot of people, I'm guessing," he replied, then gasped when he saw the first outlines of the palace. "Woah, that looks amazing!" he said with a laugh. The gardens that were stretching out around the large building seemed to hold every plant that he could imagine, with people hurrying around to water them.
While it was locked off, he still felt the urge to get in and look around.
Michaela nodded, then started to walk, following the other people that seemed to be heading to the place in question. "Yeah, it sounds interesting, doesn't it? Lots is different here than where I come from," she mused, putting her arms behind her head with a grin. "Let's see what this guy has to say, yes?"
A king sounded interesting. All power was supposed to come from him, right? Michaela wondered what he was like.
And, well, they could only find that out if they went there, so she was glad that they could just follow the crowd to that place.
Quinn's eyes scanned the palace, just looking at it annoyed him. He could very clearly imagine the type of people who lived there, all full of themselves, holier than thou types. I bet I could get in there and stir up some things up. Of course he wouldnt be trying that out any time soon, it was just a thought that crossed his mind from hating these types of people.
"I wonder how many of us there are... Woooooah!" Rose interrupted her own thoughts as her eyes laid on the palace. She bounced up and down excitedly, "It's gorgeous!" She really wanted to take a look around up close, but that obviously wasnt something they planned on xonsidering the guards and locked hate.
The moment the clock atop one of the big towers hit the full hour, the gates parted to let people slip inside. Guards were positioned to keep people from going out further into the garden, keeping them on the large path.
The doors of a balcony overseeing that part of the garden opened soon after, with a loud, booming voice announcing the king as 'his majesty, king Jaden'. Lucius, unlike others, had no trouble with crowds, so he'd taken to look for a spot where he could actually see something. Knowing the guy's face may come in handy, who knew?
The man that stepped out was younger than what Lucius had been expecting, though. He seemed to not be much older than he was, with wavy brown hair and what appeared to be graceful movement.
A smile was on the king's lips as he took in the roaring cheers for him, seemingly glowing in the attention. It reminded Lucius of a child being happy about being praised. Still, once it had mostly died down, he moved a hand to silence the rest.
"People of Karosia," he started loudly, his voice reaching across the fields clearly. "It is with great urgency that I speak to you today. The beings that we have been hunting, who took part in the murder of my father, have chosen normal humans to help them by lending them some of their powers. To ensure the safety of our city, it is of utmost importance that these people are found and handed over to me and the council to deal with. We must avenge the death of my beloved father and make sure that not any further harm comes to our city."
Lucius felt his blood run cold at those words, though he wasn't even sure from what part of his speech, exactly. Either way, for him looking so young and child-like, he surely could talk.
"Of course," the king continued, leaning his arms onto the balcony, which probably hadn't been part of his protocol for the speech. Nobody seemed to mind, though. "If you help us in capturing them, great fortune will await you." He winked as he said that. "Any riches that you may need will be yours."
The king straightened back up after that, then spread his arms out. "However, if any of their chosen people are listening, feel free to come talk to me if you wish to join our cause!" he said gleefully. "I'll even give you a private audience if you do~ So that we can make sure nobody else listens in."
With another mischievous smirk, he turned, then walked back in through the doors, which were closed after him. Immediately after, the guards started telling people to back up and leave the palace grounds.

That's a bit ominous, talking about avenging his father but then inviting the 'chosen' people for a 'special conference'. In which he doubted would be pleasant at all, for a King he isn't very smart.
Though he does look ridiculously young for a King. He has an odd feeling that voice that was talking in his head a few days before having something to do with it... "Well then, can you guys believe that? What sort of people would let spirits inherit them." He smirks, if none of the two catches up on his bluff they would be in serious trouble, but he still finds his whole situation ridiculous, and he wasn't about to take responsibility for a stupid kingdom.
The second the king started speaking a look of annoyance crossed over Quinn's face. "Called it." He muttered under his breath, a dangerous look crossing his face for a moment that totally gave away that he wasnt always as nice as he may seem to others. Of course, it was quickly replaced to not draw attention. "Well, that was something." He commented to Jay, honestly not even remembering half of what was said from just getting annoyed with the attitude the king gave off.
Rose's brows furrowed at the mention of the murdering of his parents. She believed that line right away and it saddened her, whether it was true or not. She had the habit of giving everyone the benefit of the doubt, even if they were obviously the people who were supposed to be the enemy. Of course, they also were told they were helping their side from danger. "Thats sad..." She mumbled in thought. I'm gonna talk to him. Rose decided by the end of the announcement, then promptly switched from thinking the thought to speaking it aloud to the other two quietly. "I'm gonna talk to him." It was the exaxt opposite thought of Oscar, probably the opposite thought of most others actually. So much so it might even seem stupid to some, but not to her, she felt every one deserved to be heard.

"What?" Oscar stared at her in disbelief. "Why? Did you manage to inherit the 'spirits' or something?" Oscar laughed in a joking manner. "Trust me, whatever he has to offer, it's not worth it." He despises himself that he cares about people that much, but a dead girl on his conscious isn't what he wanted from this world.

Peridot had listened to the king’s speech which she had been of course surprised me how young he looked yet when he spoke about the spirits plus the humans who were ‘hosts’ she felt that going outside the walls sounded far better the night sticking around inside them, “We need to get a move on.” She whispered to her two allies so far which she was grateful to have found them both since they all were from the same world.
