Introduction
You can't help but feel dead on your paws as you continue your scorching trek through the desert. A hot breeze stirs your pelt, doing nothing to cool your burning skin. The air before you waves with heat, and your tongue feels like sandpaper in your mouth. It hadn't been your first choice to leave, but there was no food left on the beach. Twolegs had bled the ocean dry of fish, and they were beginning to hang out on the beach itself as well. The last straw was when you'd heard word of a cat being pelted with rocks and killed by twoleg apprentices. It just wasn't safe anymore. There had been tell of a Clan up north that took in cats like you, so here you are. No end in sight, and the prairie grass approaching was a mirage. Or was it? You couldn't be sure if you were imagining the cool dirt mixing with the sand and the sprouts of grass gradually thickening into a grassland.
"Hello? Do you need help?"
You froze as a speckled gray she-cat bounded up to you. "I came from the beach, and-"
Her amber eyes softened. "I've heard what's happening. You may stay as long as you like."
Territory
MorningClan's camp sits just inside of a temperate deciduous forest. To the north, it thickens into an impenetrable wall that not even cats can get through. To the south, it thins out into a grassland, and past the grassland is a desert that is impossible to cross to almost any inexperienced cat. The forest, despite a small percentage of it being accessible, provides plenty of space to catch food and find moss and bracken to reinforce the camp. However, MorningClan still extends its borders to the very edge of the grasslands- there's no such thing as too much prey, and they are quick to accept any cats travelling through the desert to find them.
Camp
The MorningClan camp is a dip in the ground sheltered thinly with spindly birch trees and low-growing bushes. Reinforced brambles fill in the gaps, and the only way in and out of camp is a burrow leading up into the ground just outside of the brambles. The leader's den is a large, hollowed-out tree that stands at the back of camp. The leader climbs up to the lowest branch to call clan meetings. The nursery is a sheltered hole in the side of camp that the cats themselves dug. It is nearly invisible to stranger cats, completely hidden by lush bushes. The elder's den is located under a slight overhang- they often enjoy sleeping under the stars, but the ledge gives them shelter from the elements. The nursery and elder's den are located only a few tail-lengths from the leader's den on either side- MorningClan places the weakest cats in the back to ensure their safety. The warriors' den and apprentices' den lie just outside of the entrance burrow, ready to meet any intruders with unsheathed claws and bared fangs. The warriors' den and apprentices' den are both inside large, hollow bushes reinforced by brambles and sticks. The medicine cat den is on the right side of camp and is under two rocks that lean against each other, creating a sheltered area.
Landmarks
Mooncopse: A a mysterious copse of birch trees that lights with silver during the full moon. Touching noses with the largest central tree triggers dreams that StarClan walks in.
Eastern Pond: A pond that lies in the eastern section of the forest. Cats more fond of water tend to catch fish here, although not all of their clanmates are happy with the slimy prey they bring home.
Barrens: A small stretch of land in the prairie that is completely bare of grass- most likely caused by some kind of fire. Birds often fly above here in search of prey not as hidden in the grass.
Treefall Place: A meadow marred by a fallen tree down the middle. There are no other trees around, making it a prime spot for cats to sun themselves and relax.

Bluepaw- Bluepaw is a large, blue Somali tom with amber eyes. His slate gray fur fades to a light brown at the paws, while his belly and chest are white. Skullkit- Skullpaw is a light gray tom with dark amber, almost orange, eyes. His tail, ears, and paws are a darker gray with light ginger patches. He also has a gray and ginger marking over his face shaped like a skull and tufted ears. His upper incisors protrude slightly from his mouth. Lavenderkit- Lavenderpaw is a light gray she-cat with pale ginger splotches. Her legs are also swirled with white, and her belly, chest, and muzzle are white. She also has one white ear, a white tail-tip, and a white eye patch. She shares her brother, Skullpaw's, tufted ears. Her eyes are a dark, intense green. Seastar is a medium-sized, battle-scarred cat. Her ears have so many nicks and splits that only 50% of the original ears remain. She also has a series of thin, long scars down her back, and her short gray fur does little to disguise these. Her slate fur is flecked with black, white, and varying shades of gray lighter and darker than her original pelt. Her nose and paw-pads are a solid blue-gray.
Personality:
Seastar is a calm and collected leader that will avoid battle and anything that could bring harm to her clanmates at all costs. This is, to some, an admirable trait, although it can make her clan appear weak and unable to fight. She lives by the warrior code and expects her clan to do the same, but when it is broken her punishments are mild and fair. She is very proud and thinks highly of herself and her clan. She is hesitant to accept help from others and shies away from it, and often she needs guidance from her senior warriors to finally agree to assistance.

Seastar was born as Sea, and she lived with her family on the beach as a kit. Her family was one of the first to migrate to MorningClan; however, she and her sister were the sole survivors of their journey. At fourteen moons, she was a little old for an apprentice, but she was swiftly made a warrior due to her quick learning and natural talent. Her loyalty and wisdom made her a shoo-in for the deputy position when the previous one retired.

Appearance:
Skyleap is a tall, spindly she-cat with very short, white fur. She is covered in dense silver speckles and has pale blue eyes. She has a permanently disfigured paw that is slightly twisted from falling from a tree, but this has not hindered her at all. Her nose and paw pads are baby pink. Her long legs are packed with muscle, making her one of the fastest cats in the clan and certainly one of the highest jumpers.
Personality:
In contrast to her sister, Skyleap is a very reckless and aggressive cat. She is fiercely loyal and protective of her clan, and is the first to advocate for a battle. She lives by the motto, 'rules are made to be broken,' and will stomp on the warrior code if she feels it's in the way of her or her clan's well-being. She was much more of a troublemaker when she was an apprentice, but age has mellowed her slightly, although she still stands strong with her opinions and is a force to be reckoned with.

Skyleap's origin is the same as Seastar's, though her welcome into the clan was quite different. Being quite an insolent young cat, despite her hunting skills she didn't become a warrior until she was around twenty moons- four moons after her sister. While this bred a resentment between them for a season or two, it was quickly washed away in the heat of a battle between them and a few particularly aggressive loners. Despite her attitude, she became a respected warrior alongside her sister, though not exactly deputy material- which didn't bother her much.

Cloudfall is a long, sleek-furred she-cat with lively green eyes. She has light brown fur and dark black stripes. Her muzzle, neck, under body, paws, and tail-tip are white. Being young, her fur is shiny and her body largely untouched by scars, save for a single nick in her left ear.
Personality:
Cloudfall is very outgoing and friendly. You'd be hard-pressed to find a cat in the clan that genuinely dislikes her. She is rather average when it comes to both hunting and fighting, but she makes up for it with intelligence and charisma- although she doesn't see it this way. She isn't naturally a risk taker, but she tends to be reckless anyways in an attempt to set herself apart from her brothers. She feels like she's constantly in their shadows, and she's willing to do whatever it takes to prove she's just as good of a warrior as them.

Tigerstripe is a tall, lean tom with amber eyes. He has light brown fur and thin, but dense black stripes, and his belly and chest are a lighter brown. He has a deep split in his right ear from a play fight gone wrong, and he shows it off like it's from a valiant battle. His paws are unusually large, giving him a powerful swipe.
Personality:
Tigerstripe is in constant competition with his siblings. He isn't as powerful as Boulderfang or intelligent as Cloudfall, so he works hard to one up them in any way he can- including attitude. He acts like he's StarClan's gift to MorningClan, and when he isn't padding after some she-cat, he's crowing about how great he is. Despite his behavior, he is quite insecure about his skills in battle and hunting, and he fears that his greatest goal- to become leader- will be snatched by his brother or sister. His ambition drives him to be the best he can and to be the most loyal warrior he can.

Though not exactly a gentle giant, Boulderfang comes pretty close to that title. He is generally peaceable and treats every cat with kindness and understanding.

Although her pelt isn't very long, the fur around her neck is thick, giving her a defensive advantage, and her ears are particularly fluffy.
Personality:
Dovefoot is a soft, gentle she-cat that doesn't have a violent bone in her body. Though loyal to her clan, she could never harm another cat. She is also very clumsy, which hinders her hunting too much for her to be a warrior. However, she is very intelligent and her battle strategy is unmatched. Despite being a queen, she is consulted for advice along with the senior warriors. She is also very great with kits, and she is a big help with raising them when new mothers enter the nursery. Despite not having the makings of a warrior, she has found her place in the clan just fine.

Scorchpaw is a small, pretty Somali she-cat with green eyes. Her fur is a reddish ginger that darkens to a black on her paws and ears. She also has a black stripe that runs down the end-half of the top of her tail. A light beige-ginger highlights her muzzle, throat and under her eyes.
Personality:
Scorchpaw is a brave, mature apprentice. While she lacks the patience for hunting, often making her lackluster, she is strong, and could beat an adult cat in battle. Her claws are driven by her ambition to become leader someday, and she lives strictly by the warrior code. She is often serious, although around certain cats she opens up and can be quite funny and energetic. Despite her maturity, she is impulsive and makes just as many mistakes as any other apprentice.

Bluepaw is a large, muscular tom with glowing amber eyes and blue-gray fur. The gray fades to a beige-brown by his paws, and there are hints of the same shade of brown around his face. His belly is a snowy white.
Personality:
Bluepaw is, to put it shortly, a bully. He always has something snarky to say about every cat, and while his comments are often funny, they are the least bit humorous to the cat targeted. Being quite insolent, Bluepaw does not care. He pretends that he does and says whatever he wants, though he'd balk at the idea of any kind of disloyalty. Bluepaw is unafraid to back his words up with claws, and he's been punished a few times for getting into scuffles. Despite all of this, he is grudgingly respected for his hunting and battle skills, and he genuinely cares for the well being of his clan and clanmates.

Personality:
Skullpaw is energetic and lively, so much so that it can be an annoyance. He is eager to prove his worth and be the best warrior MorningClan has to offer. When he isn't bouncing off the walls, he's dead asleep in the apprentices' den- there's no in between. Despite his exhausting amount of energy, he endears himself to his fellow clanmates with his friendliness and willingness to be the butt of the joke. This made him a prime target for Bluepaw, but the two toms have built an unlikely friendship on their constant banter. Skullpaw is often scolded for just how much he sleeps, but he brushes off the scorn with a shake of his fur and bounds out of the den, ready to beg to be included on the next patrol.

Lavenderpaw is a tiny, light gray she-cat patched with light ginger. She has a white blaze, muzzle, throat, chest, stomach, tail-tip and paws. Her eyes are a dark, intense green. She shares her brother's tufted ears, and due to her size, she is very lithe and agile.
Personality:
Lavenderpaw is a quiet, gentle she-cat who loves to care for the kits and the elders. While the other apprentices groan at the idea of bringing them moss, Lavenderpaw jumps at the opportunity. She loves to listen to their stories and advice. She is very kind, and Skullpaw teases her and says she should've been a medicine cat apprentice- though Lavenderpaw's forgetful nature would never allow her to heal cats successfully. Although she is small and unassuming, she uses this and her agility to catch her opponents off guard. She isn't very powerful, but her speed makes her a tricky opponent and good hunter.
