So I decided to write something. Because I'm bored and need to get around to writing. So I wrote this incredibly short thing. Enjoy.
Lightning cracked through the sky, illuminating the rain pouring down. Thunder pounded its way through the sky not long after.
I shivered, hugging the scraps of cloth closer to my cold body. I sighed in disgust. These things were hardly helping. They were soaked, and did nothing to help my soaked body. I had to find shelter.
Looking around, I tried to find a shape or something in which I could hide in until this wretched storm passed. Finding nothing in sight, I continued walking. A wind had started to pick up, blowing the rain into my face. It dug deep between the cloth surrounding my body and bit at my skin. I walked numbly, my bare feet completely numb against the cold. Yet I continued to walk, determined to find shelter.
After what seemed like a lifetime later, an outstretched hand brushed against rock. After a bit more investigating, I realized I had found a cave. A rather large one, at that. I quickly ran into it, not bothering to check if someone already inhabited the cave. I was too cold and tired to care about that.
I huddled up alongside the cave, away from the wind and rain. Curling up into as tight a posture as I can, I wrap the cloth around my frail body as best as I can and attempt to drift to sleep.
I slept for what seemed a few minutes before a slight sound woke me. Looking up blearily, blinking the sleep out of my eyes, I glance outside. The rain has stopped, and the sun appeared to be slowly rising in the sky. I began to get up before a noise makes me freeze. Turning slowly, I come face to face with what appears to be a wolf.
The wolfs fur is mangy and matted, clearly ungroomed. Yellow, beady eyes stare down at me. I stare right back at it, my eyes widening in surprise and fear. The wolf growls, this time louder. It begins to open its jaws, revealing sharp and yellowed teeth. I didn't realize it until now, but I had slowly been backing away from it, my cloth long forgotten. The wolf slowly advanced. I backed into the side of the cave. Glancing at the wolf in fear, I waited for its next move, knowing I was doomed. I closed my eyes and
waited for the impact.
