There's no time for sorry when there's no such thing as time. And if the darkness will descend don't need a savior or a friend. I can say I've really loved if the world should end.
Ok I have another x3
John and Rose are getting ready for school. John leaves to walk to school. It will take him 10 minutes to walk there. Five minutes after he leaves, Rose realizes that he forgot his lunch. She knows that she can run twice as fast as h walks, or-if she takes her bike-she can ride her bike three times as fast as he walks. However, her bike is locked in the garage and it will take her two minutes to unlock the bike.
Will she catch up to him faster by running (leaving immediately) or biking (after she unlocks the bike)?
Bonus question: How long will it take John to get to school after he eats his lunch?

Ok so I'm probably either gonna edit once I get more done or?? Maybe somebody else posts until then omg.
For 1) you have to make an x and y equation. Liike, let's call the apples x and the oranges y, so you could make two equations out of that:
1) 3x + 2y = 32 and 2) 4x + 3y = 44
Now that you have that you should solve for either x or y. I took y here because it makes it easier to divide. So taking one you would have after going for y: -1.5x + 16= y
From that you can just put the y into the second equation to get 4x + 3(-1.5x +16) = 44
Then you just basically solve it and put the number you get for x into an equation of the two above (1 or 2) to get y aka the oranges.
Does that make sense? x'D

ok yeh that makes sense x3
I figured it was one of those kinds of problems but i absolutely hate those and am not very good at them either x3
But this helped so thanks c:

I think that number 6 is 7 because Aaron travels 15 miles, but then is pushed back 3 miles, which would really mean 12 miles a night. If you divide 84 by 12, then you get 7.

Pretty sure that two is just x + 25 + x + 50 + x + 75 + x + 100 = 1050
There's probably a smoother way to solve it but it's right as well, so. You can figure out x that way and the rest is easy.

4 would be x and y equation again. The bigger bags can be taken as x and the smaller ones as y, so you'd get:
1) 5x + 2y =196 and 2) y = x
I put x in the first one to get 5y + 2y = 196 and then solved from there

If I should die tonight May I first just say I’m sorry For I, never felt like anybody I am a man of many hats although I Never mastered anything When I am ten feet tall I’ve never felt much smaller, since the fall
Alright, thanks!

5) is x and y as well so like I took the large ones as x and the small ones as y:
1) x + y = 12 and 2) 5.75x + 2.50y = 56
I solved for y in the first one to get y = 12 - x and put that in the second one to get 5.75x + 2.50(12 - x) = 56 and then solved it.

Well, I’m not quite sure if you can trust my math, but I got 8 days and 16 hours for 3.
Her heart beats 80 times per minute, so that would be 80/1 = 1 million/x amount of minutes. 1 million multiplied by one and divided by 80 = 12,500 minutes. There’s 1,400 minutes in a day, so 12,500/1,400 = 8.68055556, and 0.68055556 x 1440 = 980.000006 minutes and that divided by 60=16 when rounded.
That is probably wrong, and Waterpelt would probably know better, though..

cx I don't think it matters too much whether they're 100% correct, I mostly just need them done. But again, thanks so much!
