OP [Openings]
Witch/Warlock-In-Training Opening:
You've become 13 Today. And that means its time for your witch/warlock training to begin tonight! It is custom that a witch/warlock, when they become 13, leave on the first full moon night, with their pet, to begin their training for an entire year. You may not return home in that year, and you must live on your own with no help from your family. During that time, you must find a place to stay and begin training in your Witch Job.
Seasoned Witch/Warlock Opening
Your on your broom, soaring in the air as you fly on-wards, peering down at your city. The moon in the sky glistened, and you felt rather bad about soaring down to remain with the humans. With a reluctant sigh, you flew down towards your city, landing down on the side walk as you began walking, your animal on your shoulder.
Human Opening:
Your walking down the sidewalk as cars pass by, and the wind blows through your hair. Suddenly, a loud gust of wind makes you look up, just in time to notice a witch fly over head. You freeze, watching them with wide eyes of admiration, smiling to yourself a moment after before turning away, continuing to walk.
Animal/Familiar Opening:
You bound after your master, leaping onto their broom as you settle down, and the broom takes flight. You perk your ears and lift your head to the sky, closing your eyes as you grinned to yourself, enjoying the cool wind brushing against you as your master flew on their broom.

Familiars
In legend, a familiar or familiar spirit is a supernatural being that helps and supports a witch or magician. Traditionally, a familiar is an animal, but some are said to be humanoid. Familiars often have special powers of their own. When witchcraft is portrayed as a type of communication or alliance with evil forces in order to gain magical powers, a familiar may be considered a type of demon.
The stereotypical familiar in Western culture is the black cat. Because black cats are strongly associated with witchcraft, there are a number of superstitions regarding them. A black cat crossing ones path is said to be a portent of doom, for example. A familiar may be nearly any animal, however. Other common forms for a familiar to take are a dog, an owl, and a toad.
You will learn almost everything about magic from talking to your cat, and using a cat in your magic will double any spell’s power. If you are speaking secrets you can be utterly certain your familiar will not betray your trust. Cats are creatures of habit, and like the witch, they must have their own sacred space where they sleep, dream and eat. The familiar requires a bowl of cream at the same time each day, they also requires a bowl of water per day and the highest quality cat food available. The familiar needs to be crooned to and stroked as she loves attention, except when she needs time alone, then she is to be left to her own devices and her needs must be headed. You will learn a great deal more about magic from a cat than you would from any witch, a witch would sooner turn you into a toad than give you assistance in witchcraft.
In the days of widespread persecution of witches, every witch was believed to have a familiar, and close animal companions were sometimes considered proof that a person was a witch. In addition to animals, humanoid creatures were believed to serve as familiars; sometimes, these familiars looked like regular people, and sometimes, they were said to be odd in appearance, having some deformity or resembling stereotypical images of demons. Legends of this period also often attribute the habit of drinking blood to familiars. Familiars were considered at least as dangerous as witches, as they were thought to be supernatural beings that looked like normal animals and could spy or wreak havoc for their witch without being easily detected.
True witches and shamans have familiar spirits – we just do – whether we like it or not.
