The Desert's Mirage (WIP) (Info here as well)

Yo, it’s me Olive! As you probably - actually, uh you probably wouldn’t know this. About yesterday I posted on my “fan-fiction” (I use that term loosely as it was relatively its own unique story) that I was no longer writing that story. I lost my motivation for it after constantly facing writer's block and even with a well written outline I just couldn’t find myself having fun writing.
Which is incredibly important to me when it comes to my stories. I don’t write anything unless I actually am having fun doing it. I think part of the reason I lost so much motivation was because I kept writing myself into roadblocks. Similar to how I couldn’t continue the original series because I had felt like I had nothing to continue, I had done that for chapter 5.
This however isn’t the end of me writing. As you can see in the title this is going to be a new book called “The Desert’s Mirage” (I might change it to “The Mirabi’s Mirage” because of the alliteration but I’m still debating that) anyways the story follows the tale of young witch Endrian, and her quest to find out the truth behind the witches legend(yOU’LL find out in the prolouge). Anyways here is the preview. (Listen to some epic inspirational music for the best effect)

Now you probably are curious after reading that Preview with a couple lines of dialogue. Correct? Want to know more about the story?? maybe some ideas that I hope to implement and try to keep with without overwhelming myself?? WELL YOUR IN LUCK!.
The story focuses on a large amount of species, a couple to name the few so far are, Witches(Which apply to any gender. it's just easier to refer to all as witches) Dyrads, Elves(Once used to be just a nameless bunch of mixed dryad/humans. After growing a large population they named them selves elves. Are just called cousins to the dryads.), Humans, and still in the works possibly a water based species that would be a part of the story later on.
-Also instead of making "books" i'm going to split this into parts. Part 1 is called "The desert" which will focus on the city and the desert. Its sort of the "lets get going" and will have some hopefully well written magick duels.
I have 3 parts planned but that might change depending on support and inspiration.
(Although sorry I can't garentee it'll be in the final cut at least you have something)

We were chased from our home.
We had nowhere to go.
“It’s just a tale! Everyone knows that.”
“Why won’t you just listen to me! There has to be more!”
“Why would I a dryad even listen to you!”
“If no one is going to do anything about it…”
“If we don’t try we will never know.”
I was determined to find the truth.
There is more to the desert than what meets the eye.
The Mirabi desert holds the secret to the ancient,
The Desert’s Mirage.
Endrian, Laura, Felix, Gabriel.
Four will journey into the desert,
But what will they do when the truth is discovered?
Can they make the right decision?
Or will everything they know be left in ruins?
