CHAPTER 1
As I trotted through the garden (I chose to urinate here to drown out the nasty smells), the door creaked open. Dirk stomped out, Izzy right behind him. Izzy was the other dog that Kirsten had. She was about half as tall as I was, and had white fur with gray and black patches on it. She was my sister. Or, adopted sister. We were the only dogs that Kirsten took home. She worked at a place where there were rows of boxes with dogs inside. Dirk was the guy that came over and wrestled with Kirsten. I didn't like him. "What ur you following me fur, mutt?" He yelled at Izzy. She whimpered, and ran behind me, tail between her legs. Dirk tossed a bottle at us. We ducked back at the exact same time. I glared at him, my short black and tan hair bristling. Kirsten was inside, so I strutted over to the door and pawed on it. "Y'know what? Yer purebreds. You shed get me some purdy muny." He drawled, and snatched me and Izzy's leash from the wall. He clipped them on, and pulled us over to his roar maker. We obviously struggled, snarling and snapping. He grabbed up Izzy and tossed her into the box, doing the same for me. We ducked down low as he pulled a cover over the box, and suddenly, it was dark. We heard a slamming, a roar, and we started moving. Izzy rolled into me, and whimpered. I barked, clearly intimidating the roar machine, because it started shaking. We went on for hours like this.

CHAPTER 2
Suddenly, the roar machine halted. We were thrown against the walls, and banged our heads on the boxcover. A few minutes later, it slid open and Dirk yanked the front of the box open. We slid out when he tugged on our leashes, and Dirk dragged us through a place with mounds of trash. He threw us into metal boxes like at Kirsten's work. Izzy tried to pull at the weird meah with her teeth, and it didn't budge. I was obviously stronger, so I headbutted the cage. Nothing. Dirk came back with weird lumps of chicken that looked like bread. He dumped them into our cages and we chomped them up. We guzzled the water he slid in. Minutes later, he was gone. We started howling. Where was Kirsten? When will she come get us? We howled until we fell asleep under the hazy purple sky.
