Hello all! I have, out of boredom, sketched all the characters I've been planning out, designing, imagining, etc. for a long long time now, maybe ... 4 months?
They each have their own story, quirks, and secrets. I want to introduce you to each of them. They're part of what I plan to be called "Daughter", and I've already thought out the entire storyline. If I were to make my own internet show on youtube or something, this is what I would make.
Without further adieu, here are the new characters!
Wakeem
I find it funny that, out of all the poses I could have chose, I ended up drawing this one for this character. It's just how it came out, I didn't intend it. Why? Well, do you see how Wakeem is scratching his chin and looking all thoughtful? His character is literally the polar opposite of that foil. He's the wacky one. Now, you're probably wondering about his name -- "Wakeem? what in the heck?"
Well, let me explain.... I just liked how it sounded. Here's how you pronounce it: "wah-keem". His name is basically phonetically spelled bc I don't even know if his name is real and there's a proper way to spell it. What I love about his name is that I've decided it will never have an official way to be spelt. Sometimes I'll go full on Wahkime, then Woakcieeam... the possibilities are endless. I want whoever knows Wakeem to be completely confused whenever they see his name, for I will, in the future, always spell it differently.
Ah, why is there a thought bubble that seems to profess hatred for some unlucky "Sheryl" you ask? ... Let's just say, he dated someone ... and it didn't turn out well. Because of this single incident he swears to never love again. Believe it or not there's purpose to this silly little detail.
Wakeem is also the bulk of the cast. He's really tall, and really broad, and if not for his personality and vaguely childish looks you would probably be really scared of him if you saw him on the street. He always wears sweaters.

Susan
Susan is Wakeem's sister. She's the techie of the group, but not a nerd. She's actually kinda plain-faced the majority of the time, yet not deadpan. There just isn't all that much that excites her. She's good at her lil electronics, but she doesn't go on rants over them. She likes to wear a hat and sometimes I feel like I imagine her as a Australian wilderness Tourist or whatever. She's actually African American tho. A bit lighter skinned but still. (I put in that detail bc u can't tell thru the sketch.)
Susan, because there really is not much to her personality, does not have many notable quirks, except for the fact that sometimes she wants to change her ways and crack a smile every now and then.
A thing I have thought many times about putting into play is the fact that... by legit sheer coincidence... she looks a lot like Sheryl. They even have similar names. So maybe I can use that to make Susan a little more interesting.
---
Sheryl
Maybe by the image you can kinda tell why her relationship with Wakeem didn't work out. Sheryl is a bit of a mystery, and it's almost a spoiler that I even show you all her appearance. Her background is a unique one....
---
Liam
Ah, yes, Liam. He's definitely one of my favorites. ...I guess that doesn't say much since I don't have all that many characters but still.
Anyway, Liam is Wakeem's brother. He's the youngest. By the picture you'd think he's a big ol' tough guy but in reality he just wants everyone to treat him like a grown up instead of the child his siblings see him as. He actually is pretty cool in battle and missions and whatnot (...oh, did I not mention that part? Yes, the story is intense.) and he's really good at what he does. Yet, he still wants to prove himself.
Liam is kinda the hardest character for me to develop personality-wise. He's not too quirky, but not too plain. He kinda rests between Susan and Wakeem. He's definitely a little weird sometimes, he's got a sense of humor, but he's a bit of a Captain America figure. Strong moral character, bravery, etc.. Which is why I love how he is as a kid. (o yes. I've planned out little things where they're all tiny children, and their designs... I wish to show u later. ;w;)
Basically he's like, the 'goodie-goodie'. Which is why when u see what he's like as a kid... it's kinda funny. Liam seems a little unimportant at first but he has a pretty large role in the story. Sadly I feel like he seems to come off as a gary-stu, but all his characteristics are better shown, not told. So this is mostly what you can get from what I will give.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that he's got a little birth-mark on his cheek. When I draw I always forget what side it's on so it's very inconsistent. One day I'll get a hang of the design.
---
"Daughter"
This is the character everything is centered around and... as you can tell... I still haven't come up with a name for her. She has no relation to the 3 siblings and I love the dynamic she develops when she meets them. There's a reason she's called 'Daughter' and maybe I can delve into all of it, but it pretty much spoils the whole story. Let's just say she wasn't always like this.
She's very optimistic, naïve, innocent, just a very pure lil being. She's about Liam's age tho, even though she appears quite younger.
And before you ask.
No. She's not the daughter of any of the characters.
And there's a very specific reason why that would be really, really bad. O dear.
~*~*~*~
Anyways that's all of them. If you want me to tell the story I've planned out I'll certainly tell you. Maybe someday it'll be an actual thing on the internet, who knows. Hope u enjoy the sketches n characters.
