There are a lot of repeat glitch reports, so rather than get the same threads over and over, I've compiled some of the most common. If you have a question that isn't answered here, feel free to make a thread about it. If you know of a frequently asked question that isn't here, please do let me know! I'll edit this post with the info.
Q: What's Herocat/Kitchy/etc?
A: Herocat and the rest, also known as "flashies," occur two ways. Sometimes an NPC cat will spawn right by the edge of the tile and move to the next one before you can get a good look.
The most common flashie, however, occurs while playing as a rogue. Ember is set to spawn randomly for the player, but only if they are part of a Clan. That doesn't stop the game from trying if your cat is a rogue, though. This causes Ember to flash on screen for a split second.
Herocat is named after Herobrine, a similar spooky, made-up character in Minecraft.
Q: My cat keeps walking in one direction even when I'm not pressing the key!
A: It happens sometimes. You can fix it by pressing the key again. So, if your cat won't stop walking right, press the right arrow key.
Q: All the eligible cats in the Clan have the same name and appearance.
A: If you start off as a rogue and join a Clan, this happens sometimes. The only way to fix it is to create a new character, unfortunately.
Q: Sometimes I get the option to bury something that isn't there. When I do, I can't dig it up again.
A: Those are brambles. They're only visible to rogues, but Clan cats still get the option to bury them. Since you can't pick them up and use them, they can't be dug up again.
Q: Help, my game is gone!
A: Your save files must be in the same folder as the game, like this:
Otherwise the game can't find your saves. If they are all in the same folder and this is still happening, then something else is going wrong. If deleting and redownloading the game doesn't fix it, I'm not sure what will at this time.
