I played for about 20 minutes now I think and I definitely like it already.
Things that I noticed were:
- Personally, I would love if, when you enter your name, you could just use the keyboard itself instead of having to move through the characters on the screen. Just feels a little quicker to me, haha. - On that same note, I started entering letters without noticing it actually put the X as my default name lol. So I had to go back to delete it - not sure if it's possible to keep it as default, but make it disappear if the person does start giving a custom name? It's nothing big, though - I managed to get lost during the first three minutes of playing, oops. (Which, I will admit I'm somebody with no sense of direction at all ) Never managed to find back to camp haha. I did get the task for unlocking the scent trails, and I think those would help me get back to camp, but maybe a mini-map could be cool (unless I missed something like that)? For dumb people like me, haha.
- With this, I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be 'its' instead of 'it's', right?
I remember from like back in 2014 or 2013 you also had some small game projects, and I just wanted to say it's really cool to see how far you've come!

I have some questions 1. Who are those cats to the east of Shadowclan are they there accidentally or are they rouges or is it SkyClan? 2.How do you accept the kittypets kits cause I talked to everyone in camp and I still don’t know 3.Will there be changes to cast like old cats dying off and new cats coming in 4.How will half-clan relationships work will you just take the kits or will there be a fight or will the litter be split.
Alright, I really have to say that this is already really fun to play! With the random events with NPCs in wild, or the side quests, it's always something to do when you get to end with main quests (until next update, of course). Oh and I like how the romanceable cats are different from each other, and gives you different reactions and all. It's really neat.
I noticed two "issues", though. - Playing as Medicine Cat and talking with Littlewing about the Affinites, Littlewing says "acess" while it should be "access". It's on all three dialogues. - While asking Hawkcrest, what the items you can buy with Reputation do, she just repeats the previous text box (the "Oh, you want x? It'll be 100 reputation.") and then it closes.
And some ideas: - Like Citrine said, some mini-map would be helpful. Or on the map in inventory, when you view it, it shows where are you like a dot or something "You are here!". - I guess the cutomization option isn't 100% finalized and there might be more, but.. some fur patterns would be nice. Stripes or patches, all that stuff. - For the warrior, maybe.. more enemy warriors on the clan territories? I know it's not finalized and there are very few of them just to not make player be attacked every 5 steps, but.. they spawn really slowly/rarerly, and it makes the gathering of cat claws reaaaally slow and tedious. The chance to get the enemy patrol in quests to fight help a lot, but it's also very random to get them. - Alright, for medicine cats, maybe add Deathberries? Not sure how they could work, since they are lethal, buuut maybe in story, as an immoral choice to poison someone. - I know you said that there might not be option to became the leader, but what about a deputy? Or something close to it? Like in story mode/main quest, the current deputy dies, leaves or leader wants to replace them for some reason (*looks at the ShadowClan in main quests* yeah, just like that), and it shows option to choose between your character or someone else. And if you choose yourself, the leader asks you to prove you are good enough to be a deputy. As deputy, you could still get the quests to patrol borders, but those would be more serious, with option to get a patrol (like for the dungeon, with three more cats) or go alone. Not sure who could give the quests, a random NPC warrior who spotted something and asked for help or the leader? This still leaves the shop to be moved onto someone else, but maybe to the leader or, if the previous deputy is alive, it stays on them, maybe?
I'm having my fingers crossed for future updates and options to join other clans!

@ Water - The idea of making the name blank before input is actually really smart! I've been putting off getting rid of the X because I so often have npcs call the player's name and use the x as a way of making sure I put the code in right. Thanks so much for the suggestion! I went ahead and added it to the upcoming version. Also added two community scripts that allow keyboard input for names and a minimap! <3 They'll also be added in 0.1.4

Fairy and I were dating at the time (what was that? 2013?) and I remember that bc she was the highest level from fighting.... the werewolves... i put on the road... bc i didn't know how to get cars working. .. sks kskkssks k sk skksk s
@112 - 1. It's not an accident. 2. She tells you. Make sure to read. 3. The forest and cats in it will change with story progression. 4. You always get the kits.
@ Lavender - Glad you're enjoying it! Thanks for pointing it out! I'll fix that. That's already been fixed! <3 Also, there's already an option to become deputy. It's just hidden behind a very exact line of dialogues. I'd suggest replaying the "bad" side of the story a few times.
Ooooh?? 👀👀 I hadn't messed around the "full bad side" too much, but it got me even more interested in it. Although, a guide in somewhat-near-future would be nice, to see most possible routes and outcomes. I know the game is in very easy stage of develompent, but there is a lot of stuff going on and that can randomly happen, it can get really confussing "what-to-do-next".
I noticed some more bugs ghbfh - in RiverClan "cutscene", after the battle at Fourtrees, Silverfur's name is blue colored, while it should be pink... aaand when going to talk with Blackstar and we have to talk with her to get to the ShadowClan camp. - while fighting Stonewhisker, his name is displayed as "Blackstar" - uhhh, while visiting Moonstone after a NPC dies, there is message like "You instantly fall asleep." but then the screen stays fully black. The music still plays and I can access the menu and do stuff with it (like save or check quests) but nothing else happens. Not sure if it's the death of any NPCs that causes that to happen or what. It's not related to Petalkit quests, I think because I finished them way before I took care of main quests. It happens on both mobile and PC, sometimes it do show a cutscene, but sometimes it's just... black screen. - aaand Mudfur's body doesn't disappear after we "fail" to fight the adder, it is still on the Snakerocks, and I can interact with her, but it plays the funeral over again. - not sure how much of a spoiler it is, so
after Blackstar reveals that he and our character have kits together (during the gathering, after I choose option to "break up" our relationship), and coming back to the camp, one of the kits is gone, and.... I can't tell if it's a bug ooor if it's intentional plot-related thing.
They are pretty easy to miss, and not too bothersome, but I think it's worth noting.
As for a bonus feature.. maybe some kind of clock/timer? To know when it's day/night and how long each phrase stays. It would be really helpful in timing going out on dates or finding owls.

Thunderclan is just like ok and leaves it I talked to Cloudstar and it just says Cloudstar nods so they be very apologetic. Here are my suggestions 1.There is a scene where the clan decides your punishment with a angry mob kinda forming 2.There are some scenes in the future where you can see your kits bullied 3.If you do get another mate you have to talk to them about Blackstar and why you were mates with him 4.Foxpaw should probably get mad at you and you have to talk to her

From what I saw, only Sandspring reacts in any way to that, when you choose to talk with her instead of taking a quest. But that's literally the only reaction I found.
My kit also disappeared after the gathering but if you get a new mate it comes back and looks like your new mate so it is probably a glitch or the kit coming back is a glitch
1: I suggest for certain things that you suggest if it is good or bad. I am trying to go for the bad route, however I don't know if going with Riverclan or Shadowclan is good or bad. 2: I suggest trying to make an area where you could kill the leader of a certain clan. Like, if you side with Blackstar, you can decide to put some death berries into some prey and leave it outside of the Riverclan camp instead of putting it inside your clan. 3: Maybe put a way where the clan can see that Blackstar is the father and they exile you? But maybe if you gain a certain amount of trust with another cat they can say they were the father. (Whenever you are mates with Blackstar) 4: For Blackstar, maybe he announces that he is mates with you, and that you will take over all the clans together? (When you with Blackstar)
Now, for bugs
1: So, I did the route where I accepted to help Riverclan. I then was with...I don't remember the guy- But he follows you right after you accept to help Riverclan. You then go to one of the hunting spots, (The first one right under the river) and there is a patrol person who keeps saying "Oh. Hi!" And she won't let you out. I had to spam enter and a mouse came to me, and it broke the cycle. The warrior then did it again, but I mashed A and got out.
When will the next update be out I have some suggestions 1.Becoming a rouge or a kittypet 2.Training in the dark forest 3.Being able to find a rouge kit which you can adopt without a mate 4.Rouges/Foxes/Badgers attacking 5. Being able to murder the enemy clan cats through underhanded tactics like leaving a rat from the carrion place in there food pile
This looks really cool! Pretty good for something that's only in beta. I do have a few suggestions, though- I've only skimmed through the things other people suggested, so hopefully there are no repeats oops.
Suggestions:
A few more pelt colors. Doesn't have to be a lot- I think a couple tabbies and a calico would be enough, at least for now. Also, a more organized way to choose said colors. If you add any more, soon they all won't fit in the little choice window tab. Well, they probably will, but I doubt it'll be pretty. A pop-up of sorts would be useful, especially since something like that may allow you to quickly preview all the colors. Perhaps something like the shop menu interface?
Clearer borders- right now, I can't for the life of me tell where one territory ends and another begins. Some visual/auditory clue or message would be much appreciated. Though you may want to go with something that doesn't stop the player (as text boxes do by default).
I played as a hairless cat. While it was understandable why this was the case, it was kinda weird having the 'normal fur' item equipped. Maybe they could start out with 'no fur'/'skin', and eventually get something like 'tough skin' in place of ragged fur. Maybe they give less defense, I dunno.
Maybe this is more of a personal preference, but it would be cool if the maps were less square. Having not-square maps just generally looks more interesting. This is true for caves especially (talking about the med den here). They don't need to be that open, considering how small cats are and how little stuff is in the place, and just adding a few walls that jut out can make the place look significantly more natural & interesting.
Quicker way to turn prowl on/off.
Wake up at dawn, maybe. Or be able to choose what time to wake up at.
Have a way to take Acorn's kits back with you, even if you already have your own kits staying in the nursery.
Prompt the player to save more often- after character creation, for example.
If possible, adjust the menu art so Blackstar and Minnowstar's faces aren't covered by the text box.
Something that shows the Clan of a cat when speaking to them- at least for cats outside your Clan.
[/font][/b] [li]If you ally with RiverClan, all the cats that would normally attack you will still approach you, but talk to you instead. Problem is that their AI is still set to move towards the player. This results in them continually running into you and triggering their dialogue, which is really annoying to get out of.[/li] [li]The time system is a bit funky. It seems that if you enter/exit certain areas the time will reset to day, even if it was just night. Was trying to go on a date with the cat who likes dawn (I forget his name) and it took forever for me to be able to trigger the event because of this.[/li] [/ul] Might add more to this later, if I think of anything. Overall, the game could use some improvements, but is very good so far!
