This is Frogstar's legacy. This clan is his.
-Frogfur woke up. An orange tabby was sleeping just across from his den. He jumped up and stalked over. "Can I help you?" He growled, and the she-cat jumped awake. She unsheathed her claws and hissed. Frogfur flicked his short tail. "Calm down!" He hissed. The tabby she looked at him and the shock in her eyes faded. "Oh- hi." The she spoke, her amber eyes narrowing. Frogfur blinked. "I'm Frogfur. You're in my camp." His "camp" was a patch of swampy land with a few thickets surrounding it. "I'll leave, then." Frogfur shook his head. "Oh, no! I'm actually looking for loners for my clan." The she looked at him, curiosity in her eyes. "Clan? This is hardly a camp." She chuckled. "Any who, I'll stay. You look thin. Here." She nudged a mouse towards Frogfur. Frogfur nodded and set aside the mouse. "What's your name?" Frogstar asked.
"I'm Dawn."
"Nice to meet you, Dawn. Mind if I give you a warrior name?"
Dawn met his orange gaze, that same curious haze in her eyes. "I don't mind at all." She said softly.
Frogfur nodded. "I will call you Dawnpelt. Carry it with pride."
Dawnpelt dipped her head and flicked her tail. "I'm going to hunt." She said, and Frogfur grabbed the mouse and nodded, heading for his den. His heart beat as he thought about the beautiful orange tabby. She looks so nice... and to think she might've attacked me! He nestled down and started to eat the mouse. He kept glancing back at the moss she laid in. Suddenly the entrance thicket rustled, and Dawnpelt stepped in, a frog, two thrushes and four mice in her mouth. She laid them down against a patch of clovers. "There." She announced, and Frogfur felt his pelt burning. "Great catch!" He said, pushing away the bones.
The sun had set, and Frogfur sat with Dawnfur, deep in conversation. "Maybe SwampClan." She said.
"I like ReedClan better." Frogfur chuckled. Stars glittered above his head. Maybe I don't need a clan, he thought. Just me and Dawnfur, against whatever StarClan puts forward. Then he shook his head. I'm acting like a love-sick apprentice. He told himself, and he stood. "Night, Dawnfur."
"Good night, Frogfur." She replied.
Frogfur headed towards his den.-
