(you know what actually, can I make another character? i tried to put the signup in a spoiler and tried like four times and ultimately failed. sorry D:)
(this is going to be nils's husband because i think that's cute <3
Username: leopardspeed Name: Leif Devereux, Thornfeather Description: Leif is a shorter and small framed and pale man, with white/platinum colored horns, of which are short and poke one or two inches above his curly blond hair. His horns are brighter on the tips, and he has scales on his upper arms, shoulders, and neck, which match the color of his horns. His eyes are brown, and he has small circular gold rimmed glasses. Dragonfolk or Human?: Dragonfolk Personality: He is very quiet and thoughtful, intelligent and rather softspoken, though not afraid to stand up for himself. When he speaks, many people find themselves quieting to listen in spite of themselves, and what he says is usually worthwhile. He is very meticulous, sometimes to a fault, considering projects to be a failure if they contain a very low amount of mistakes. Rank: Warrior, baker. History: Leif was born to a relatively strict household, and in it he learned very perfectionistic values. He's known Nils since childhood, and knows him perhaps a little too well. Crush/Family/etc: Nils (Husband) Other: Leif can be a little hard to look at sometimes because of the way his scales shine, so on sunny days he'll wear long sleeved and higher collared shirts to keep the sun from reflecting on them. He is 31
you can combine his history section with Nils's if you'd like)
(I'll go ahead and write him in here)
Nils Devereux
Nils awoke slowly. Leif seemed to have shaken him a moment earlier, and had now left for whatever early-morning task he felt compelled to do. A stray sunbeam shone on his face, and Nils shielded his eyes for a moment before yielding to the inevitable, and stood. He donned his armor, and completed the rest of the accompanying routine before stepping outside, and allowing his eyes to adjust to the minimal light. Summer had come, which he was grateful for, as the days were longer and the mornings less cold. He drew his sword, allowing it to glint in the sun. It was old and a bit chipped, but not much of sentimental value, save a black ribbon at the bottom of the hilt gifted to him by his father.
Leif Devereux
After shaking Nils awake, as requested, he left for his bakery. It wouldn't be open for a few hours yet, but the fires had to be lit, and all the daily tasks required in running a buisiness. He laid down his kindling and lit a small fire, which was second nature to him by now, and let it catch for a moment before adding on the heavier branches. It was like everything, he thought to himself. You started at the bottom, and you work your way up.

Alphonso grabbed one of his musical instruments- a guitar before walking out from the building until he stood in crossroad the closest to his house, carefully strumming the instrument at first the music was soft then slowly drifted into a faster pace. One of his favorite things to do was ‘help’ wake up any sleepy headed apprentices or warriors which he had become a self-proclaimed pro at dodging flying objects. Eh… I won’t be that cruel today, I’ll just stay here for a bit and just let the music guide me he thought to himself with a grin, he could already tell some tribe members were waking up and the bakery was opening up soon- judging by the smoke coming out from the chimney he wagered.

Saoirse eventually got out of bed and cleaned up at the sink, getting most of the grime from the previous day and changing into a new pair of clothes. I’ll take a bath later or something….gotta head to work now… she thought to herself and letting a small yawn when she adjusted the armored vest. Once she was done getting ready did she leave her house only to stumble back when her horns hit the doorframe and did mutter a curse under her breath. “How do I keep forgetting that?” She grumbled a little in annoyance and rubbing her head a little then ducking under the doorframe this time to properly leave her house. The bright sunlight made her flinch and shaded her eyes with her hand to get adjusted to the bright light, once that happened did she lower her hand.

"Hmm...my favorite memory? I have too many to count, but i guess, it would be the memory of meeting all you and making friends here on the forums. :3" ”One day I’m going to sit down and make a list of all the books that I finished reading....” “It's going to be a long list...”

(formatted ) (also saiorse and leif should be familiar because of her sweet tooth xD)Leif Devereux He continued tending his small fire until small could no longer describe it. He set out his bowls and ingredients to make the days first breads when the oven was hottest. He paused, and with floury hands propped open the door with a heavy book to let in some air to avoid the heat of the fire, and incidentally let the smell of baked goods escape. The smell, he thought as he returned to measuring, was his best advertisement. Nils Devereux His eyes traveled away from the sword, and to Alphonso, and he smiled as his playing was always pleasant to listen to, though only when he was already awake. "Good morning," he called out, and gave a little salute-like wave. He glanced to the sky briefly, half-smiling. "Very... early... morning, eh?" His comment was in good humor, though he barely perceptibly gestured towards Alphonso's guitar.

“Good morning Nils!” Alphonso looked up to see one of the warriors Naxiros, he didn’t stop playing but he could multitask with a conversation. “Hmm… it’s not that early, I guess tomorrow I could always caw like a rooster before dawn.” The grin plastered on his face was genuine which he had in fact done that once when he was still a kid, was grounded for a week with chores but it had been worth it. “Then again I might get more than a shoe thrown my way, alas some people don’t have quite a taste in music.”
Saoirse Mayson*
The first thing that caught her attention was the smell of baked goods, a stomach growl and she was already halfway to the bakery. Most “side jobs” that required buildings were inside of camp but some structures such as tannery, butchery and even her smithy were a good walk from the camp itself. “Morning Lief, what do you have today?” She was polite and gave a quick knock on the door’s frame before entering the building and ducked under the doorframe just a bit to avoid her horns getting hit again.

Nils Devereux
He gave a good-natured laugh, and sheathed the sword. "Not sure Leif would appreciate that, he's- well he's not a morning person." He smiled. "Where are you sending patrols this morning?" He breathed in the smell of Leif's baked goods and smiled.
Leif Devereux
"Oh, you again," he said softly while smiling. He paused a moment in his typical fashion, and continued. "Right now I'm making bread while the oven is hot, but I can make you something else if you'd like. I still have some of things from yesterday that I can heat up as well." Lily~Myth

I AM LATE XD SORRY XDD also I have a few questions for how certain things work
1: so the windmill is where they store food, but how do they get it? Like if its lunchtime and someones going to get food do they just go to the windmill and take some? Or do they have kitchens in the houses and they get some of the food when they run out? 2: if they have kitchens in the houses does the fledgeling lounge have a kitchen? 3: whats the “layout” of the fledgeling lounge, like do they have individual beds or like bunk beds, where is a sorta private room for them to change clothes in the morning (im assuming they have pajamas), does everyone sleep in one room or are there like dorms with groups of 2 or 3 fledgelings, etc 4: whats the schedule? Like is there a schedule for “fledgeling training is 7-8am, hunting is 9-10am, etc.” 5: what do the mentors teach the fledgelings exactly? 6: do they use the same healing herbs as in the warriors books 7: what exactly do you mean when you say they have tribe names? Like you said it follows the –kit, -paw, etc. rule, but I don’t exactly think the dragons are gonna call their children kits, which is shorts for kittens or something XD. sorry for all the questions XD that’s all I can think of for now but if I think of more questions I’ll ask!
Camella
Cami woke up to the sunlight shining in her eyes from a window in the fledgeling lounge, she sat up in her bed and stretched her arms. Because of the placement of her bed and that window she always seemed to wake up before the other fledgelings did. She got up and brushed her short messy hair. She got dressed, and then went to see if Sam was awake, as expected she wasn’t, so Cami shook her a bit to wake her up. Although Sam complained that it was too early she eventually got up and the two went outside. Cami walked toward the healers hall to check if anyone sick had come in and to check the medicine stash to see if they needed to restock, and Sam went off to do her own thing.
Samantha Kumochi
Sam sighed and held a hand up to her face while she looked up to the sky; the sun was starting to rise higher, so she decided to go and find her mentor, the tribes leader Alphonso. She liked Alphonso, he was nice, and rather funny too. She still hadn’t succeeded in making him play his guitar for her though, he kept saying that she should focus on training instead; but someday she’d succeed. She began looking around town, not knowing where he would be, especially since she got lost rather easily, despite living here her whole life. Eventually she decided to take a rest, leaning on the wall outside the bakery, under a shadow, to get away from the hot summer sun, and began to think of where she hadn’t checked. (Aka: Alphonso gotta come find her because im still reading yalls messages and still can’t figure out where he is lol)
1 & 2. Yep that’s where they go. For specific fresh food such as pastries there is the bakery they must go to. Most of the meat comes from hunts and once it is processed gets stored in the windmill.
3. The layout is a two-story building, they live in dorms of 2, there are private rooms for changing clothes/and such. The beds can be bunk or individual.
4. Sort of…. Mostly it’s up to the mentors. But most of the time 7-10am is border/hunting patrols or battle training. 11-2am is breaktime. 3-5 is another round of patrols/training. Which like I said before, it’s up to the mentors (really us as their creators deciding) and I’m not going to be too finicky on the schedule. It also depends on if the fledgling is being trained by a side mentor.
5. Mentors teach them basic warrior duties (like in the warrior cats book) such as border patrols, hunting, battle training. But side mentors teach them their craft. (Example: Sam is the fledgling to Alphonso but wants to be be a baker, than her side job mentor would be Lief. 2 mentors but Al(main) teaches her warrior duties and Lief(side) teaches her the bakery).
6. For the sake of not making this Roleplay even more complicated than it already is, yes. Same healing herbs.
7. Yeah… I’ll just delete that, I really meant the Warriors/full healers/deputy/elder/leader all have warrior names such as Bearclaw or Thornfeather. )
Alphonso simply shrugged as kept on playing, morning people or not he wasn’t going to let that stop him. “Hmm…. I was thinking along the Rocky Road and Cocoa Hills, at least one border patrol to the later first. It’s hot enough already…. That place will become an oven the later as the day goes on.” He stopped for a moment in his playing, thinking for a good minute which both places named had not been patrolled in some time, while the previous weeks had been peaceful one could never be so sure. Bandits were starting to make a comeback when he became leader, during that time he could count more than he could on the bandit incidents.
Saoirse Mayson
Saoirse grinned a little, every since she was little she would go to the bakery at least twice a day for a treat- basically what some would call a regular customer. “I’ll have something left over, can’t let anything go to waste.” She chuckled a bit and sat down at one of the wooden chairs, patrols were not going out just yet and she could always eat on the way if that was the case.

Camella
Cami looked through the stash of herbs to figure out what needed to be restocked and decided she should restock on Feverfew and Daisy leaves, so she went outside and left the town, heading toward rocky road, which was the best place for Feverfew to grow due to its mixture of soil, sand, etc. (yes I googled it and Feverfew likes loamy soil which is basically an equal mixture of clay soil, sand, and silt, (yes I googled what loamy means lol im not a gardener) so I thought that would make sense)
Samantha Kumochi
Sam realized she hadn’t even checked by Alphonso’s own house, she went in the bakery and got some bread to have as breakfast and then went back to looking for her mentor. Soon she had almost arrived at his house, and she could see Alphonso with Nils, and Alphonso was holding his guitar. She stopped and hid behind a bush, watching through the branches hoping Alphonso would start playing again, not realizing her horns were poking out of the top of the bush.
(Lily~Myth) (also do you think i could make an oversized list of all the warriors herbs (that I can find that would be needed) and where they would grow best in this roleplay? Cause in the books there were like certain places with patches of catmint and other herbs so I think that would be cool cause I'm weird lol, might as well do something with my time cause I'm bored lol)

Leif Devereux
He turned from his mixing and opened a nearby cabinet, pulling out a sheet of small cookies which he laid carefully near the oven. "There are some tarts I checked, but they aren't good if they've been sitting. Conveniently," he said before pausing and shaking a finger, "as long as I don't tell him it's stale, Nils will eat anything." He slid the loaf of bread to Samantha reflexively, and turned back to the cookies, before lifting the pan carefully by a cooled edge. He slid them into a bag, and sat it down on the table in front of her. Nils Devereux
He nodded thoughtfully, and twisted the ribbon on his sword's hilt with his left hand. He inhaled as if to respond, but something caught his eye and he leaned to the side. "Are those- horns, I see in that bush?" His tone was playful and almost sing-song, as he looked over Alphonso's shoulder. (sorry sam, no guitar listening today! xD)

Samantha Kumochi
Samantha heard what Nils said and sighed, coming out from her hiding place and walking over. “You’re no fun” she said half playfully to Nils. She looked at Alphonso and quickly changed her mood, “anyways, is there anything you want me to do? Go on a patrol, training, helping Cami gather herbs, hunting, helping Cam-“she stopped herself realizing she already said that and blushed a little bit, but not enough for anyone to notice.
Camella
Cami arrived at Rocky road and began looking for Feverfew or Daisies if she could find any. She knew of one spot a clump of Feverfew grew, and went toward it. Soon she arrived at a small area at the foot of one of the tall mountains. She soon found the familiar boulder with a space behind it, and squeezed through to get to the small cave inside. Her little hideout. She had found it when she was young and since would return every now and then if she wanted to be alone, nobody else knew about it. It was a small cave with just a bit of sunlight peaking in from the entrance, and with moss growing on some of the rocks and walls and vines hanging from the ceiling of the cave. She spotted the Feverfew clump and gathered some, being sure not to damage the plant so it could grow back. She put it in her pouch and was about to go when she heard a growl behind her. She turned her head nervously to see a mountain lion entering the cave with its eyes locked on her. “oh fudge” (nobody go and find/save her yet lol, I HAS PLANS FOR DIS XD IM ONLY STOPPING THIS PART HERE BECUZ THEN IT WOULD BE WAY TOO LONG XD)

Nils Devereux
"I suppose I'll take my leave then to let you to get to training." He nodded as if bowing his head and then passed the mentor and apprentice on his way to the forest. (sorry this post wasn't three sentences, but i write long sentences and figured i should post now despite not having much to say. also, i was thinking about what the knight actually does, and I was wondering if maybe he specifically trains in all different forms of martial arts, and helps train fledglings in them if they have an interest/leads hunts? I just realized I wasn't sure exactly what he did lol) Lily~Myth
