Saoirse let Nils lead the way and following right behind the child who seemed to be rejuvenated by the cookies, she couldn’t help but giggle at the notion that baked goods could truly be divine. Which of course they are, after all he does have loyal ‘followers’ she thought in amusement which she couldn’t help but think back to the boy’s story, if he had just escaped from bandits then they might still be around. The tribe’s reputation as so-called dragons did keep them safe as most humans residing out from their territory held both fear and some degree of respect. Bandits, rogues, exiles, all those who dabbled behind the scenes in the dark or for a fair price would be more than willing to test their courage to traverse these lands. We will have to inform Chief Bearclaw when we return…. One of us can do that and the other can take Zane to Iris and Camella- he might be hurt but having a checkup might do him well thinking of a plan of action for when they got back, although it might change, who knows.
Zane: (that’s adorable I can’t wait to see Leif’s reaction to a kid~)
Zane followed quickly after the knight, moving a bit faster to keep up with the man’s longer stride but seemed full of energy for the time being- sugar can do that to a kid and by the mouthful he’s eaten already there’s no telling when he might sugar crash. The silver dragonfolk took the caboose end of their walk towards the camp while the emerald dragonfolk took the lead, honestly despite just meeting them he felt safe for the first time in awhile. “So…what’s this Tribe like? Is there like a royalty or somethin? Also these cookies are really good! Can we get more later?”
Alphonso Dimas (Shadowrunner, hmm… I’ll go with perplexed? Lol)
Alphonso realized he might have just confused the fledgling more but hey, she asked for the story and honestly while he did like the truth more…. He did prefer the more ‘heroic’ versions that portrayed him better than a foolish kid who nearly got eaten, dragons once he started to heal up- did not hear the end of it from those who saved him and Finely. The elder was a warrior at the time and he heard words he would never repeat again. “Try to be more cautious and try to be more aware of the situation next time.” He looked at Sam with a smile that said ‘hey I might be an adult but I’m still that dumb kid’ and he might have borrowed that choice of words from said-scholar.

(oh.. is that what they supposed to refer to him as? Chief bearclaw lol I didn’t know if they should just call him alphonso or chief or what lol so I just did alphonso whatever I’m sticking with alphonso lol)
Samantha Kumochi (ah yes perplexed that’s the word lol forgot that word existed)
Sam laughed, getting the message that his smile said, then had an idea. “You know what I think?” Sam said, “I bet I’d magically learn not to be reckless and jump into dangerous situations if I heard you play your guitar” she said, even though she knew it wouldn’t work it was worth a try. Alphonso seemed to have made it sort of a game to not play his music around Sam after she tried so many times to get him too, and that just made her more determined to hear him play it. (yes this is going to become a thing If Sam ever dies while near enough to camp for Alphonso to grab his guitar her dying words will be asking him to play it loool hopefully that won’t be the case)
Camella
Cami shook her head, “no I’m ok” she said, if she was anything she was tired from running, but she still wanted to help around town and with herbs and whatnot, if she had to she’d find something she could do while sitting down to rest her legs. “Is there anything I can help with?” she asked
Alphonso Dimas (Shadowrunner, Al can be called; Al, Chief [insert title/name here], Alphonso or his tribal name Bearclaw. But chief pastry is just as funny XD)
The man raised an eyebrow, “Oh? Then your just going to have to wait and be patient.” Alphonso grinned from ear to ear, “You gotta earn it first kiddo.” He also added cheekily, yes this game of cat and mouse regarding his music was a funny thing. It first started not on purpose… but once he saw how annoyed it got the fledgling…. He just couldn’t stop, besides if this could be a good motivator than there that’s the ‘real’ reason why. “Seeing how eventful this day has been, your free for the day.” Seeing has how things went straight from chill to death, to be honest not that rare around these parts. But having a break every so often is fine for the body to rest, and allow the fledgling to find their own interest as a side job.
Finley Aspenfield(…I did not forget about this awesome character, nope)
Finley was resting on a bench outside of Elders Rest, seated on a comfy bench with the cane casually by their side and writing in a book. Not that she would share the book’s details just yet with any of her tribesfolk- even in her youth the notes were hidden to the point that many of his peers believed to have imaged them. Some are of my travels, naturally I tell those stories by word…. they thought as finishing the page with their signature. Briefly recalling memories of when the warriors, healer and current chief were all children and running around, wanting to hear more on this or that. Some inspired fledglings such as Naxiros to forge their own path as a knight- at first unheard of in the tribe, but a common practice especially amongst the noble families who resided far from the tribe’s own borders. Being human as it’s disadvantages and advantages

Nils Devereux
"Well, there's the Chief, Alphonso... He's in charge. And then we all have jobs we do on the side to protecting the tribe. I'm a knight, my husband bakes- he made the cookies! And Saoirse is a blacksmith," he said, indicating towards the woman with his hand. "Oh, and yes, you can probably get more cookies at some point," he said, this time laughing.
Iris Holland
"Well," she said slowly, "I sorted out some of the more spoiled herbs, but if you can help me sort them further that would be nice. We can still use the drooping leaves, but not the brown ones." She handed a small bunch of them to Cami. Lily~Myth
Zane: (~Goldensplash~, if you want to time skip back to camp now, you can go ahead and skip there ^^)
“Woah,” Zane said with wide eyes and popping yet again another cookie in his mouth, his mind computing all the information and it seemed to contrast greatly with what he knew of most places. He didn’t figure the woman was a blacksmith- but it made sense from the sooty smell and he felt a little smug that he got the warrior’s role as a knight down. “It sounds really nice.” The way Nils talked about it, the kindness of these folk, and made him feel safe for the first time in awhile. What some had called a ‘home’ and maybe he could find a place here too. Plus the cookies were superb, he wondered what else the baker Leif could make.

(That I will do!)
Nils Devereux
He led them through the entrance to the camp, and turned to Zane. "Here it is," he said, happily. Then to Saiorse, he added, "I suppose one of us has to tell Al," and then trailed off so that she could add her own thoughts. Lily~Myth

Samantha Kumochi
Sam hid her playful annoyance and nodded, “Ok, but let me know if you need anything!” she said as she went back to the fledgeling lodge to take off her armor and put her swords away. When she got to the fledgeling lodge she put her swords back in their case, and sighed, not knowing what to do. She sat on her bed and thought for a moment, before deciding that she’d go and see if Cami wanted any help with anything, more so as an excuse to spend time with Cami and check if she was ok.
Camella
Cami nodded and took the bunch of herbs to begin sorting, sorting the brown herbs into their own pile to throw out later. Soon thought Cami heard the door open and looked up from her sorting to see Sam walking in. “Is something wrong Sam?” Cami said, and Sam shook her head, “No, Alphonso gave me the rest of the day off so I decided to come see if I could help with anything here, she said.
“Yeah, those bandits might still be hanging around here.” Saoirse said with a small nod but seemed a little distracted, “Hey Nils…” she began to say as she watched the boy experimentally walk a little ahead of them in some confidence but gave him a good chance of running back to them if he got scared. “Zane said the bandits kidnapped him, it has to be for a reason… and they had him for a month too, I’ve got a feeling the kid might have stumbled into something bad…” she finished quietly as she figured the kid was simply just trying to survive, the state he was in meant the kidnappers didn’t care about his health but could they outright ask the child? She wasn’t so sure. “I can tell Al if you want, regardless Zane needs to see Iris for wellness check.” Either way she was fine with watching the child or letting the knight do it.
Alphonso Dimas
Alphonso went back his station to drop of his heavy weapon and light armor, hanging around in camp meant relaxing and wearing even light armor in this weather was suffocating enough. Dragons, how do bakers and blacksmiths handle it? well there both dragonfolk- but regular people do it too….. maybe it’s like that thing where you just get use to it? Gah, never could handle that he thought to himself, cringing a little at the thought of burning his hand which he almost did as a kid if it weren’t for Nils who snatched his hand away in time. Speaking of that, the leader had walked back down the pathway to see three figures by the entrance of camp. Maybe he had magic powers, seeing as Nils the knight and Saoirse the blacksmith were conversing but the smaller figure he did not recognize. Shoot, it finally happened… they stole a kid, I mean Nils brought back squirrels but a kid? No just relax, maybe the child’s from one of those traveling groups and got lost? He would facepalm later at jumping to such a conclusion and might kick himself years after this, he noticed also the kid holding a bag that was the kind Leif gave out baked goods in. ….let’s just keep an open mind here…… please don’t be luring kids here with cookies, come on guys please let not that be the case. Inwardly he wasn’t freaking out but there was a tiny voice doing that for him. He started to approach the three in a calm manner and friendly posture, seeming more like the normal guy he really was despite his rank as Chief. “*Graystome, *Silvermask…. and hello there kid.” He called out with a smile, making himself known to the tribe members and the child- looked in need of a bath and proper clothes hid behind the two Warriors upon him walking up.

Nils Devereux
(haha yes nils and saoirse stole a child they just snatched him up and away)
He sighed, and inhaled as if to say something, but then glanced up as Al approached. "Hello, Bearclaw. This is Zane," he said, motioning toward where the child used to be, but then turning to him now. "It's alright, this is Chief Alphonso." Iris Holland
"Hello, Sam. We're sorting out which herbs are still okay from these which are a little droopy. It's very kind of you to come when you have your day off."
Zane had hidden behind the two warriors when a tall guy started to walk over to them and only moved to the side once Nils said the guy was friendly, He’s so plain?? He looks like those people who mooch off of other people?? Don’t chiefs have riches or something? Just that gold-looking trinket? A a gold necklace?? I don’t see fangs or scales either?? Those interesting thoughts went through his head, “Your not shiny like them? Also, what’s with those weird names?”
Alphonso Dimas
“Ah, we’ll nice to-“ He began only to be interrupted by the kid’s outburst of questions and merely smiled. “Yeah just human, but my parents and sibling are dragonfolk. It’s kind of weird. Those weird names are what adult members of the tribe have, we refer to them as tribal names and they are given after a member becomes a warrior.” Alphonso explained and got down to the kid’s level which it seemed that the kid got some confidence- that or very blunt, either way it was good to see that he had energy but that could be that the warriors had given them sugar. Standing back to his full height, “Ya know Zane, you kind of smell like Saoirse on a good day after being in the smithy for hours-“ He ignored the woman’s quiet growl which sounded playful- more of like a friend bringing up an embarrassing story or just something funny they all joke about- like him being called Chief pastry. “Speaking of, Saoirse can take you to the bathhouse to get cleaned and new clothes.” He glanced over at Nils which seeing the kid’s physical state up close seemed like there was more to a lost story that he initially thought of, he figured getting the knight’s knowledge of Zane and he would later get the smith’s view later on. Yet children’s well-being came first and since they had extra hands to spare.
Saoirse Mayson
She grumbled something under her breath but didn’t outright say anything to the tease, Alphonso was notorious for teasing anything and anyone- still true to this day. Granted the chief had a point and there were times when she was covered from foot to antler with the smith dirt and grim, only when she was working on a bunch of orders or something brand new. So far the child seemed content with them and didn’t flinch when she had growled a little at the leader- really out of habitat at his antics. “Of course, come along Zane. We’ll leave Sir Nils and Chief Pastry to talk.” She walked past the leader with a smug grin who looked a tad annoyed, saluting the two and holding out a hand for the kid who happily grabbed it, copied her salute to the two men and followed her to the bathhouse.
(I hope you don’t mind this conintuing as it did)

“By bandits?” Alphonso began with a frown growing on his face which always looked a tad strange, he always sported a some sort of grin or smile. “Regardless of why he was taken, we’ll need to keep a sharp eye and patrol more. I know that he just got here, tomorrow perhaps we can learn more.” He added and crossed his arms across his chest and in deep thought, the lax weeks of peace were coming to a close and bandits were like prickly thorns. “Once we learn more we should tell Finley too.”

“It’s nothing, besides I don’t have anything better to do really” Sam said. Despite her personality she had never actually been very good with receiving compliments, she was mostly used to people saying she was reckless. Sam walked over to Cami who was sat sorting some herbs, “here let me help” Sam said and took some of them from a pile and began sorting. She had helped out a few times with Cami’s studies before when she did some late night studying so she knew a bit about herbs, which helped when she came to help out occasionally.
Camella
Cami nodded acknowledging Sam and continued sorting. She was nervous to talk, feeling like she’d say something weird and then Iris would tease her, as Cami had guessed that Iris knew she had a crush on Sam. (all I can imagine with Iris being motherly is this scene: somehow a conversation between Sam and Cami led Iris to tease Cami about her crush on Sam, but not being so obvious that Sam could tell so Sam is just sitting here like “Iris what da heck are you talking about, whats so funny” lol)

Nils Devereux
He nodded, "I'm going to tell Leif, I want his opinion," he said. "I don't know what he'll think," he added, this time a bit more lightheartedly. Iris Holland
She smiled as she watched the apprentices, thinking of how cute they were together. "If it weren't for both of your scares with the lion, I'd say you two could go out together to look for herbs," she said, looking sideways at the two of them while smiling.
