PLEASE READ: This is a warrior cats fanfiction focused mostly around Jayfeather, but it has a lot of other cats' perspectives too. THIS FANFIC CONTAINS SPOILERS FROM THE SEVENTH SERIES!! This story is how I think the Broken Code (the seventh series) should end. (Edit: I haven't read the whole series, only the first few books so idk what really happens) I did add in one of my OC's, Silverfeather. Besides that, all the characters are from warriors. (Jayfeather has met Silverfeather before; she helped him in previous series) This fanfic is very fast-paced. (probably because I write like I read) Eventually, I might add in more details and scenes to make it slower and better. I hope you like it and I'd love to hear your feedback!

Prologue:
A silver she-cat with stars in her fur sat with a badger at the edge of the ocean. Her eyes were closed and her muzzle was up to the night sky. The badger was focused on the crashing waves, deep in thought. The cat opened her eyes and spoke:
"The clans are lost. Without Starclan, they will slowly destroy themselves. They need someone to tell them what they need to hear." She turned to the badger.
"Help them I cannot. They listen no more. To be shown the way they need. Remember the past they must. They need not me, but you, Silverfeather." The badger replied.
"You are right as always, Midnight," Silverfeather meowed with a sigh. "I will go and show them what they cannot see. This will not be the end of the clans." She took a long last look at Midnight before fading away.
"And help them you will," Midnight said to the starry sky. "But they must learn to help themselves."

Chapter 1:
Jayfeather was dreaming. He was standing in an empty meadow. It had been empty for a while, since Starclan had gone silent.
Jayfeather sighed and walked on, loneliness pricking at his fur. Starclan was gone, and there was nothing he could do to get it back.
Suddenly, a silvery white cat appeared in front of him. Jayfeather jerked backwards, surprised.
"Silverfea-" He started to say, happiness welling in his chest. Silverfeather had walked in his dreams before, but she was no ordinary Starclan cat.
"What are you doing Jayfeather? Nothing! You're doing nothing! You once promised that you would protect the clans with your last breath, but now you sit and watch them fall apart!" Silverfeather hissed at him.
"What can I do?" Jayfeather retorted angrily. "I had my powers when I promised that, but now I have nothing and there's nothing I can do about it!"
"Ordinary cats have saved the clans before!" Jayfeather glared at her as she continued. "You don't need powers! The answer's right in front of you, but you cast it aside! To bring Starclan back, you must find the cat born with the gift of Starclan!"
"How?" Jayfeather yowled as Silverfeather dissapeared.
"That doesn't even make any sense," Jayfeather muttered as the dream started to fade. "What even is the gift of Starclan?"
Jayfeather tried to forget the dream as he went through his day of picking and organizing herbs.
"We're running out of marigold," Jayfeather meowed to Alderheart.
"I'll go get some more, and maybe a little more yarrow too." Alderheart mewed cheerfully, before padding out of the den.
Jayfeather looked up as he noticed Ivypool at the entrance of the den.
"Yes?" He asked. Ivypool was hesitant to answer.
"Well... my nightmares came back." She said.
"Nightmares?" Jayfeather questioned.
"Yes, my... Dark Forest nightmares." Ivypool continued. "I had them after the Great Battle and they went away after a while, but they're back and I don't know why. Is there anything you can do?"
"Hmmm," Jayfeather replied. "I can give you poppy seeds to help you sleep, but I dont know if I can stop the dreams. No herb can get rid of memories."
Ivypool sighed. "I was afraid you were going to say that." She turned to walk out of the den.
"Come back tonight if you want to try the poppy!" Jayfeather called to her.
The next night, Jayfeather dreamed again. He was back in the same, empty meadow.
"Great," Jayfeather muttered as Silverfeather appeared again. This time he wasn't happy or surprised.
"You're not even trying!" She hissed. "I guess you're not the same as you once were."
"W-what do you mean?" Jayfeather replied, a little shocked.
"The Jayfeather I know wouldn't give up this easily. He wouldn't sit here and do nothing while Starclan is shut off forever! He wouldn't be okay with never seeing Hollyleaf, Leafpool, or Half Moon ever again!" Silverfeather yowled.
"How dare you!" Jayfeather hissed back. But he knew Silverfeather was right. She had told him what to do, but he had refused to do it. But now she had crossed a line, and she knew it.
"You must find the cat born with the gift of Starclan, or Starclan will be lost forever!" Silverfeather called as she dissapeared.
Jayfeather sighed as the dream faded. He felt the familiar ache in his heart whenever he remembered Half Moon.
How dare Silverfeather say that he would give Half Moon up! Jayfeather felt like he was doing all he could, but he knew he wasn't. He had to find the right cat.

Chapter 2:
Jayfeather was out in the forest looking for more coltsfoot. Who could the cat be? He hoped that the cat was in one of the clans. A loner or kittypet would be harder to find.
It's probably a medicine cat, Jayfeather thought as he weaved through some ferns. They're the closest to Starclan.
This cat was born with the gift, so it's probably not any of the medicine cats that I've known for a while.
It could be one of the Skyclan medicine cats, or one of the newer apprentices of another clan. Like...
Jayfeather stopped dead in his tracks and groaned. Shadowsight! He had had visions from Starclan since he was a kit. The cat born with the gift of Starclan had to be Shadowsight.
"Couldn't it be any other cat?" Jayfeather muttered. "Why him? He's the reason we're in this mess in the first place."
Suddenly Silverfeather appeared next to him.
"None of this is Shadowsight's fault. Ashfur chose him because he was inexperienced. Shadowsight wasn't skilled enough to tell that it wasn't really Starclan." She meowed.
"So it is Shadowsight?" Jayfeather asked.
"Yes," Silverfeather answered. "And he has information that you can use to save Starclan."
"What do you want me to do? Go talk to him?" Jayfeather snorted.
"What have you done in the past? Who did you go to first? The clans need to remember the past to move forward." Silverfeather said before dissapearing.
Jayfeather sat there, thinking, until Lionblaze walked up to him.
"Hi, Jayfeather." Lionblaze meowed. "What are you doing?"
"Thinking," Jayfeather replied.
"Um, I've been having dreams lately. About us, and Dovewing, when we were the three. I keep remembering our powers and how we used them to save the clans." Lionblaze said slowly. "I miss Dovewing."
"Me too," Jayfeather whispered.
"I keep feeling like there's something else I should be doing, but I don't know what." Lionblaze continued. "Do you have any idea why?"
Jayfeather sighed. Silverfeather never gave up, did she.
"Yes," Jayfeather said. "I know why. I had a dream last night. A cat told me that to save Starclan I had to find the cat born with the gift of Starclan. I think it's Shadowsight."
"Was it a dream from Starclan?" Lionblaze asked excitedly.
"No, not really." Jayfeather answered. "Starclan's not coming back unless we can save it."
"Oh," Lionblaze replied. "What do we do now?"
"We should talk to Shadowsight, but we should bring someone else with us." Jayfeather said.

Chapter 4:
Jayfeather padded with Shadowsight through the forest.
"Why do you want my help?" Shadowsight asked.
"It wasn't exactly my choice," Jayfeather replied hesitantly.
"Did Starcl-" Shadowsight started to ask.
"No," Jayfeather cut in. "Not really."
"Then wh-"
"I'll explain later," Jayfeather snapped.
When they finally reached the abandoned twoleg nest, Jayfeather paused and called Lionblaze's name.
Lionblaze peeked out of the nest.
"Jayfeather!" He called back. "Come on in."
"Is Dovewing here yet?" Jayfeather asked as he stepped into the nest.
"Right here!" Dovewing called, running out of the forest.
"Dovewing!" Ivypool meowed rushing out of the nest.
"Ivypool?" Dovewing mewed back, racing to greet her sister.
"Can we go into the nest now?" Jayfeather said, grumpily.
"Alright, keep your fur on," Ivypool meowed as she headed back in the nest.
Once they all got settled, Jayfeather started to tell them about his dream. But before he could get very far, a cat cautiously stepped into the den.
Lionblaze and Ivypool stood up and hissed. Shadowsight looked at the cat and meowed, "Rootspring?"
"Isn't he Tree's son?" Dovewing whispered to Ivypool. Ivypool relaxed, but Lionblaze stayed where he was.
"Why are you here, Rootspring?" Jayfeather asked.
"Uhhh, I s-saw a spirit and I followed her here." Rootspring answered. He clearly wasn't expecting to find so many cats in the nest.
"Was she silver with blue eyes?" Jayfeather asked with a sigh, already knowing the answer.
"Yes, how did you know?" Rootspring replied, his eyes flashing to a corner of the nest.
"She's still here, isn't she?" Jayfeather muttered, before saying, "Come sit with us, and calm down Lionblaze." Lionblaze glanced at Jayfeather for a moment before sitting down.
Jayfeather described his dream again, this time finishing it with no interruptions. When he was done he just sat there, silent.
"What now?" Dovewing asked, breaking the silence.
"I'm not sure," Jayfeather replied. Rootspring watched the spirit as she walked to the middle of the den.
Suddenly Silverfeather turned solid, and everyone could see her.
"Woah," Ivypool exclaimed.
"You have done well," Silverfeather said to Jayfeather. "But you will need more than friends to save the clans."
She padded up to Jayfeather and continued: "I will give you back the power of the stars."
Jayfeather looked at her in awe as she touched her nose to his forehead.
Jayfeather felt his powers rush into his body. He could hear everyone's thoughts and emotions again. It was wonderful!
"Thank you," Jayfeather whispered, his heart full of gratitude.
Silverfeather continued on to give Lionblaze and Dovewing their powers back.
Lionblaze flexed his paws, happy to have his power again.
"My senses are back!" Dovewing squealed. She bounced around, hearing everything around the lake.
Shadowsight and Rootspring were a little confused, so Silverfeather quickly told them about the Prophecy of Three.
Silverfeather then stepped to Ivypool. Jayfeather read Ivypool's mind and was surprised to find that she didn't want any powers.
"Don't worry," Silverfeather meowed. "I'm not going to give you any powers. You have all that you need."
Jayfeather then tried to read Silverfeather's mind, but he couldn't. It was blocked by a thick wall that he couldn't penetrate.
Silverfeather then stepped to Shadowsight. She touched his forehead and said: "I give you the power to switch between your spirit and physical form."
She stepped backwards and added, "So you don't have to eat deathberries and almost die to do it."
Silverfeather ignored the startled gasps of confusion and moved on to Rootspring.
"You already have powers," She said. "You will learn to use them in time." Silverfeather then returned to the center of the cats.
"You all are the six cats that will save the clans." She meowed. "I will visit your dreams tonight and show you what to do next. Goodbye."
Silverfeather dissapeared. Jayfeather peeked into Rootspring's mind and found that she had really left.
Everyone was shocked, and didn't move or speak for a moment. Then, Shadowsight suddenly collapsed.

Chapter 5:
"Shadowsight?" Dovewing gasped, rushing to her son's side. Jayfeather was about to join her and figure out what was wrong, but then he felt Rootspring's surprise and amazement.
Jayfeather read Rootspring's mind and saw that Shadowsight was in his spirit form! He had used his new power!
"Calm down Dovewing!" Jayfeather called. "He's just in his spirit form!"
"I think I can make him visible," Rootspring mewed. He then closed his eyes and concentrated.
Jayfeather heard everyone gasp and, by reading their minds, he found that they all could see Shadowsight.
"This is weird," Lionblaze muttered.
"What, weirder than fighting dead cats?" Ivypool purred playfully.
Soon Shadowsight dissapeared, and Rootspring collapsed, exhausted.
Shadowsight went back into his body and winced.
"I should've laid down first," Shadowsight said. "I'm covered in bruises."
"You'll live," Jayfeather meowed after checking Shadowsight to make sure he didn't hurt himself too bad.
"We should be getting back to our clans," Dovewing mewed, elated to have her senses back. "Come on Shadowsight."
Dovewing said goodbye to Ivypool, then padded out of the nest with her son.
"Well, goodbye." Rootspring said awkwardly before running out of the den.
"I guess we go home now." Ivypool meowed.
"Yeah," Lionblaze sighed.
They were all silent on the way back to camp. Jayfeather was thinking about what Silverfeather had said about Shadowsight.
What information did Shadowsight have? And what did Silverfeather mean about eating deathberries?
That night Jayfeather curled up in his nest, content. He felt better than he had for a while, and more hopeful too. There actually was a chance that Starclan would come back.
As Jayfeather fell asleep, he was careful to not walk in anyone else's dream. He wanted to hear what Silverfeather had to say.
Jayfeather opened his eyes and found himself in the same meadow he had dreamed in before. Silverfeather sat a few tail lengths in front of him, her eyes closed.
Suddenly, they weren't alone. Lionblaze and Ivypool appeared, followed by Rootspring, and finally Dovewing and Shadowsight.
Jayfeather was impressed. He had never before seen a single Starclan cat share a dream with so many cats at once. But then, Silverfeather wasn't any ordinary Starclan cat.
Silverfeather opened her eyes and looked at each cat for a moment before speaking.
"Welcome, all of you. First, Shadowsight. I want you to share all you have done and learned about what has happened to Starclan."
Shadowsight seemed nervous as he began to speak. He told everyone about his dreams, and all the times when he was in his spirit form.
Jayfeather was surprised by everything. He realized that he had been underestimating Shadowsight. Jayfeather had never even heard about a cat's spirit leaving their body before.
When Shadowsight was done, Silverfeather spoke again.
"We have much to do, follow me," She then bounded gracefully away, without looking to see if anyone followed her.
Jayfeather raced after her, with everyone else following. Rootspring pulled up beside him, eyeing him curiously.
"Can you see?" Rootspring asked, hesitantly.
"I always see in my dreams." Jayfeather answered nonchalantly.
"Cool!" Rootspring exclaimed, clearly impressed.
Soon the meadow around them shifted to a forest that Jayfeather didn't recognize. He looked down at his paws and gasped. He could see straight through them.
"Your physical body is back in your nest," Silverfeather explained, noticing the cats' startled reactions. "But your spirit is currently right outside Shadowclan territory."
"You need to use what you have and what you have been given to save Starclan. Good luck and goodbye." Then Silverfeather dissapeared, leaving the cats to save the clans alone.

Chapter 6:
The cats all turned to Jayfeather for what to do next.
"We should probably go to the thorns where Starclan is trapped. Shadowsight?" Jayfeather meowed, a little unsure.
"Okay, I think I can find it again." Shadowsight replied. He then padded away, with everyone following.
Jayfeather was surprised by how fast he could move in this form. He was only walking, but the trees were a blur beside him.
Soon they came to a dark, dreary forest. Jayfeather looked up and saw the black, empty sky. He shivered. The Dark Forest, he thought. We're in the Dark Forest.
Ivypool was shaking beside him. Jayfeather knew that this was bringing back memories, dangerous and dark memories.
"Where is it, where is it," Shadowsight muttered. "It all just looks the same!"
"No it doesn't," Jayfeather thought he heard someone speak, but then he realized that it was just Ivypool's thoughts.
"I know where we are."
"There's the tree stump where we used to have meetings,"
"And the clearing where I used to train,"
Shadowsight stopped and looked around, utterly lost.
"The river's through those trees,"
"There's the pile of logs where..." Ivypool's thoughts trailed off as a memory replaced them. She fought desperately to stop it, but the images filled her mind.
Jayfeather wrenched himself out of her thoughts. He saw Ivypool begin to panic. But before he could do anything, she sprinted away, trying to escape her memories.
"Ivypool!" Dovewing called after her. The other cats hadn't noticed that anything was wrong before; they were arguing about the fact that they were lost.
"I have no idea where we are!" Shadowsight hissed. "Or what to do! I've only been here once before!"
"But Ivypool's been here dozens of times," Lionblaze said quietly. Everyone was silent for a moment.
"What do you mean?" Rootspring whispered.
"This is the Dark Forest," Jayfeather explained.
"We have to go after Ivypool!" Dovewing mewed. Jayfeather thought quickly. They needed to find Ivypool, but also save Starclan. They also had no idea how much time they had.
"Dovewing your powers work here, right?" Jayfeather asked, and Dovewing nodded. "Can you see Ivypool?"
Dovewing concentrated for a second before exclaiming, "I see her!"
"Can you find where Starclan is trapped?" Shadowsight asked.
"Yes! It's that way!" Dovewing answered after a moment, pointing with her tail.
"Okay, Lionblaze you take Rootspring and Shadowsight to where Starclan is trapped. I'll go with Dovewing and find Ivypool." Jayfeather ordered.
Lionblaze and Shadowsight nodded, but Rootspring said: "We're splitting up?"
"Yes, we don't know how much time we have." Jayfeather answered.
"Come on," Lionblaze meowed, heading the direction Dovewing pointed. Shadowsight and Rootspring followed.
"Lead on," Jayfeather said, and followed Dovewing through the trees.

Chapter 7:
Jayfeather followed Dovewing as they walked through the Dark Forest.
Eventually, they found Ivypool crouching under a bush.
"I'm a murderer," she whispered.
"And no one blames you for it," Dovewing said quietly, sitting next to her sister.
"Did you find Starclan?" Ivypool asked.
"Yes, Dovewing did. Lionblaze and the others are probably there by now," Jayfeather responded. Ivypool sighed and stood up.
"Okay, lead the way," She said.
They raced back the way they came, and Dovewing guided them to where Starclan was trapped.
Soon Jayfeather saw Lionblaze's bright, golden pelt through the trees. He dashed forward, nearly running into his brother.
"I'm glad you're back," Lionblaze meowed when he saw Jayfeather. "We're not sure what to do now."
Jayfeather looked past Lionblaze at the huge tangle of thorns. He could barely see that a pool of water was at the center.
The Moonpool, Jayfeather thought. Starclan's main connection to the clans.
"We tried to move the thorns, but it didn't work." Shadowsight said dejectedly.
"At least we don't have scratched paws," Rootspring mewed. "Since we don't really have paws."
"Have you tried to dig up the roots?" Dovewing asked.
"We're not sure if there are roots," Lionblaze replied. "But none of us would be able to reach the roots anyway. We're too big."
"Then how?" Jayfeather muttered to himself. What does one of us have that could help? Ivypool knows this forest, but I don't know how it could help.
Lionblaze could fight off Ashfur if he tried to stop us. But he can't fight brambles. Reading minds and going into dreams couldn't help.
But what did Rootspring have? Jayfeather quickly scanned the Skyclan cat's mind.
"A deep connection to the earth," he muttered.
"Rootspring," Jayfeather mewed. "Is there anything you can do?"
"Uhh, maybe." Rootspring responded. "I can try." He lightly touched his paw to the ground beside the thorns and closed his eyes. Rootspring concentrated, trying to remember what Tree and the Sisters had taught him.
Then, the thorns began to move. They twisted away from the Moonpool, grabbing nearby trees with their thorns.
Rootspring collapsed, exhausted. The thorns stopped, with a perfect tunnel straight to the pool.
"Great!" Shadowsight exclaimed. "Good job, Rootspring!" He bounded forward, pausing at the entrance of the tunnel.
"What now?" Ivypool asked.
"Jump in?" Rootspring suggested jokingly.
"Why not?" Jayfeather meowed, feeling happy and excited. They've almost saved Starclan!
"Stop right there," Jayfeather heard a hiss behind him and quickly spun around.

Chapter 8:
Ashfur was standing behind them.
"You can't outsmart me here," he hissed. "I know all the secrets of this forest."
Suddenly, the thorns moved back over the Moonpool, tangling and trapping Shadowsight in the process.
More brambles shot out of the ground and wrapped around Rootspring and Dovewing. Lionblaze leaped at Ashfur, claws unsheathed. But, a vine wrapped around his back paw, forcing him to the ground.
"You'll never defeat me," Ashfur hissed before racing into the trees. Lionblaze wrenched his paw out and sprinted after him.
"Go!" Dovewing called to Jayfeather and Ivypool. "Rootspring can get us out."
Ivypool ran after Lionblaze, and Jayfeather followed. He darted right behind her, as she raced expertly through the trees.
Soon, they caught up to Ashfur and Lionblaze. They were locked in battle in a small clearing. Ivypool signaled to Jayfeather to hide. They crouched behind a tree, watching.
Lionblaze and Ashfur seemed to be evenly matched. Lionblaze would have won a straightforward fight, but Ashfur wasn't exactly fighting fair.
But, as Jayfeather looked closer, he noticed that neither cat was getting hurt. There wasn't any blood or wounds, even though both cats were fighting hard.
"Why can't they hurt each other?" Ivypool asked.
"I don't know," Jayfeather whispered back. "Maybe because we didn't actually dream ourselves here."
Then, Lionblaze pinned Ashfur down. He yowled in triumph, but soon stopped as thorns twisted out of the earth. They started to grab Lionblaze's paws and he clawed at them desperately.
"He needs our help!" Ivypool whispered loudly.
"What can we do?" Jayfeather replied as Ivypool darted out into the open.
Jayfeather heard paws to his right and saw Rootspring burst into the clearing. Jayfeather quickly followed Ivypool.
"Let Lionblaze go!" Rootspring hissed. He concentrated and the thorns slowly uncurled.
"Keep him down, Lionblaze," Jayfeather called as the thorns started to wrap around Ashfur.
After a moment or two, Ashfur stopped struggling, but Lionblaze didn't let go. Rootspring relaxed a little.
"Where are Dovewing and Shadowsight?" Jayfeather asked.
"They're guarding the Moonpool." Rootspring responded.
"Rootspring and I can keep Ashfur here," Lionblaze meowed. "But you'd better go free Starclan."
"Okay," Jayfeather agreed. "Lead the way, Ivypool."
When they got back, Dovewing and Shadowsight were there like Rootspring said.
"Where's Ashfur?" Dovewing asked, and Jayfeather quickly summed up what just happened.
"I'll stay here," Ivypool mewed after Jayfeather was done. "We shouldn't leave this unguarded."
"I'll stay with you, and Jayfeather and Shadowsight can go." Dovewing said with a warm glance at her sister.
"Alright, come on Shadowsight." Jayfeather ordered, padding up to the thorn entrance. He squeezed through and gently tapped the water with his paw.
Nothing happened. So, Jayfeather sighed and dove into the Moonpool, faintly aware of Shadowsight right behind him.

Chapter 9:
Jayfeather found himself laying beside a pool of water. He stood up and looked around. The patch of grass around the pool was green and soft.
But, all the other grass was brown and dead. The sky was cloudy and gray. The trees were leafless. Shadowsight stood up beside him.
"What happened here?" Shadowsight whispered. Jayfeather just shook his head in response.
They watched as the green grass began to spread. Slowly, the dead land came alive again. The trees grew leaves again, and the sky cleared.
"Starclan can't live without us," Jayfeather realized. "We need each other to survive."
They started to walk forward, searching for any sign of Starclan. Soon they came across a brown and white she-cat sitting with her head bowed.
"Leafpool!" Jayfeather called, sprinting to her side. Leafpool's eyes lit up and she purred as she greeted her son.
"How did you get here?" Leafpool asked.
"It's a long story," Shadowsight meowed from behind Jayfeather.
"I'll go get everyone then," Leafpool replied excitedly. "Stay here." She quickly raced away.
"We did it!" Shadowsight exclaimed, turning to Jayfeather. "We saved Starclan!"
"There's still more to do," Jayfeather reminded him. But he couldn't help sharing Shadowsight's excitement.
Soon Leafpool came back with countless cats behind her. Hollyleaf, Firestar, Bluestar, Spottedleaf, Yellowfang, and many cats that Jayfeather didn't recognize.
Hollyleaf rushed over to greet him, purring loudly. She was followed by many others, and Jayfeather soon lost count.
Once everyone had settled down, Jayfeather and Shadowsight told Starclan all that had happened.
"Is Bramblestar here?" Shadowsight asked after they were finished.
"No," Firestar answered. "We have no idea where he is."
"But if he doesn't go back in his body, then Ashfur will just go back in!" Hollyleaf mewed.
"What if someone else goes into his body until Bramblestar comes back?" Leafpool suggested, turning expectantly to Firestar.
"Yes, that's a great idea," Firestar said. "Hold on, do you want me to?"
"I don't think there's anyone else he'd rather have do it," Leafpool replied warmly.
"That's a good idea," Jayfeather meowed. "But you'd better tell the clans before they think you're Ashfur."
"Yes, you're right. Onestar, Leopardstar, Rowanstar, Bluestar!" Firestar called. "Let's all go talk to the clans. Come on!" He then bounded away with the four leaders following.
"Someone should go talk to the others," Shadowsight said.
"I can," Hollyleaf responded quickly.
"I don't think there's anyone they would rather see." Jayfeather purred as Hollyleaf ran off after Firestar.
"What do we do now?" Shadowsight asked.
"You should go back to your clans," Leafpool answered. "Follow me!"
Leafpool led the way through Starclan's territory, back to the same pool of water.
"This is how we see the clans," she explained, peering in. "But it's also a way out and in."
"Goodbye," Jayfeather mewed sadly. "I'll see you soon, right?" When Leafpool nodded, he took a deep breath and prepared to go back to Thunderclan.
But, there was someone he hadn't seen yet. Someone very important to him.
As Jayfeather dove into the pool, the last thought on his mind was of a certain white she-cat. Half Moon.

Chapter 10:
Lionblaze loosened his grip on Ashfur slightly as Jayfeather and Ivypool raced out of the clearing. He didn't fully trust Rootspring's weird plant powers and their hold on Ashfur.
When did things get so weird? Lionblaze thought. It used to be so simple. He could fight, Dovewing could see and hear, and Jayfeather could read minds and go in dreams and stuff.
But now... nothing seems simple. Cats going in and out of their bodies? Someone taking over and stealing a cat's body? Nothing made sense.
They waited for a while, Rootspring concentrating and Lionblaze's claws in Ashfur's fur. But then, Ashfur started to speak.
"Why are you even trying?" He sneered. "It's not like you could actually win. I know all the secrets of this forest!"
"Oh, sure," Lionblaze hissed in reply. "I don't care!"
"Do you want to know who told me about them?" Ashfur continued.
"No," Lionblaze retorted. "Shut up!"
"No, trust me," Ashfur meowed. "You'll like this one."
"Fine! Who?" Lionblaze sighed.
"Sol." Ashfur whispered menacingly. Lionblaze froze. Not Sol! He hated Sol.
"Who's Sol?" Rootspring asked, curious.
"Sol is a stupid piece of fox dung!" Lionblaze hissed. "I don't believe you," he said to Ashfur. "How could Sol know about the Dark Forest?"
"Sol knows a lot more than you think," Ashfur replied, enjoying Lionblaze's reaction.
Lionblaze just grunted in response, unconvinced.
"Your precious little badger friend told him," Ashfur continued.
"Midnight?" Lionblaze exclaimed, shocked. "She would never tell Sol anything!!"
"But she did," Ashfur said.
"I don't believe you," Lionblaze meowed firmly.
Why should I believe Ashfur? He stole Bramblestar's body! And Midnight would never do that! Lionblaze tried to reason with himself.
After a while, Lionblaze heard paw steps behind him. He turned and saw a black she-cat step into the clearing, followed by Dovewing and Ivypool.
"Hollyleaf!" He called to her, amazed. Jayfeather and the others saved Starclan!
"You can let Ashfur up," she mewed, purring.
Lionblaze hesitantly let go of Ashfur, and Rootspring released the thorns. Ashfur immediately stood up and raced out of the clearing.
"Won't he just go back into Bramblestar's body?" Rootspring asked worriedly.
"We don't know where Bramblestar is, so Firestar went into his body to keep it safe from Ashfur." Hollyleaf explained.
She then told Lionblaze and Rootspring what had happened.
"Come on, let's go home." Hollyleaf mewed. She led the way through the forest, and soon they were back where they started, right outside Shadowclan territory.
Dovewing said goodbye and bounded off toward the Shadowclan camp.
Hollyleaf led the way through the trees to the edge of Skyclan territory, where Rootspring also said goodbye and raced away.
Lionblaze and Ivypool followed Hollyleaf to the Thunderclan camp.
"Farewell," Hollyleaf mewed. "Thank you." She took a long, sad, last look before vanishing into the trees.
Lionblaze and Ivypool padded into the camp, noticing that it was nearly sunhigh.
"Where were you?" Squirrelflight asked, clearly distressed.
"We were--" Lionblaze started to explain, but stopped as he heard soft, fast paw steps behind him.

Chapter 11:
Jayfeather opened his eyes, surprised. He wasn't at the Moonpool as he'd expected, neither was he blind.
Instead he was on a rocky ledge, high up in the mountains. Jayfeather again thought of Half Moon.
"I need to find the Tribe's cave." He muttered, and started walking.
Soon the ledge ended, connecting to a valley. Jayfeather padded through, utterly lost.
But he went on, determined to see Half Moon again.
"Intruder!" Jayfeather heard a cat yowl. He froze, spinning around. Five cats were racing towards him.
The lead cat looked very familiar, with a fluffy golden pelt and amber eyes. It's Lionblaze! Jayfeather realized. No, it's Lion's Roar!
The cats surrounded him, hissing.
"What are you doing in our mountains?" Lion's Roar challenged.
"I am friends with the tribe," Jayfeather replied calmly. "Please take me to Stoneteller."
"Really?" Lion's Roar responded, surprised. "Follow me, I guess."
Jayfeather let himself be led through the mountains by the patrol.
If Lion's Roar is this old, then it's been many moons since I was last here. Jayfeather noticed. I wish I could've come sooner.
Soon Jayfeather recognized the path to the waterfall and the cave behind it. He was nearly there!
Lion's Roar led him on the slippery path that dissapeared behind the waterfall. Jayfeather stepped into the cave and felt at peace, like he had finally returned home.
"Stoneteller!" Lion's Roar called, his voice echoing across the cave. "There's someone here to see you!"
Jayfeather watched as a white she-cat stepped out of her den.
"And so you brought him straight to the heart of our tribe, feather-brain." She muttered irritably.
Then she stopped, frozen in place. Her gaze met Jayfeather's, and she recognized him instantly.
Half Moon trilled with joy, and raced down to meet Jayfeather, pushing cats out of her way.
Jayfeather's heart swelled as he gazed into her beautiful green eyes.
"Um, Stoneteller?" Lion's Roar asked, confused.
"This is Jay's Wing," Half Moon declared. "He's an old friend of mine, and a friend to the tribe. You will treat him with respect during his visit."
"Come on," She whispered to Jayfeather. "We have much to talk about." Jayfeather nodded and followed her up to her den.

Chapter 12:
They made themselves comfortable in the bedding of moss and feathers, then Half Moon looked at Jayfeather expectantly.
"Um, so how are you fitting in as leader?" Jayfeather asked.
"Pretty good," She answered, not taking her eyes off him. "It was weird at first, but I think everyone's accepted me as leader by now."
"We've learned a lot about living here, too. We're real mountain cats now." Half Moon continued proudly. "How have you been?"
"Well," Jayfeather began hesitantly. "It's been hard for a while, but I think it's going to get better now."
Half Moon looked at him for a while before responding.
"Where have you been?" She whispered. "Where do you go when you leave?"
"Well... I..." Jayfeather stuttered. "I'm not sure you'll believe me."
"I'll try my best to," Half Moon said stubbornly.
"Alright, here it is." Jayfeather began. "I'm from the future." He ignored her disbelieving look and continued.
"I live in Thunderclan, but there are four other clans. We live by the lake, and my camp is in the stone hollow. I've visited the tribe in the mountains a few times..." Jayfeather trailed off, knowing that he sounded crazy.
"I want to believe you," Half Moon whispered sadly.
"I wish I could prove it," Jayfeather whispered back. They sat in sad silence for a while, not sure what to say.
"Well," Half Moon started hesitantly. "You did seem a little different and weird after you came out of the tunnel. Didn't you say something about Thunderclan?"
"Yes, I did!" Jayfeather mewed eagerly. "I wasn't sure where I was at first."
How did you get here?" Half Moon asked.
"Rock brought me," Jayfeather responded. "But not this time. I'm not sure how I got here this time."
"Rock?" Half Moon exclaimed. "You mean the weird, old cat in the tunnels?"
"Yes."
"What about the dream, about the mountains?"
"I knew you needed to go to the mountains to become the tribe, so I did what I had to."
"But why did you leave when we left?"
"Rock made me," Jayfeather replied, his heart aching. "I didnt want to. I wanted to stay with you."
"But why did he make you go back?" Half Moon mewed.
"I had a destiny I couldn't escape," Jayfeather muttered. "I didn't want it and I didn't have a choice."
"Destiny?" Half Moon meowed, confused.
"It was my destiny to save my clan," Jayfeather replied. "Well, all the clans."
"I know you wouldn't make all this up," Half Moon sighed. "But it really does sound crazy."
"I know," Jayfeather sighed.
"Wouldn't it be cool if I came to your time instead?" Half Moon wondered aloud. "Just once maybe?"
"That would be fun," Jayfeather agreed.
"Jayfeather!" Jayfeather heard his name and quickly spun around. A silvery white she-cat stood at the entrance of the den.
Silverfeather!
"Who is that?" Half Moon whispered. "And what did she call you?"
"Silverfeather, I'm not leaving!" Jayfeather hissed, extremely annoyed.
"You are leaving, but you aren't the only one." Silverfeather countered.
"What?" Jayfeather asked, confused.
"It's time for Half Moon to have a turn," Silverfeather purred, and everything went black.

Chapter 13:
The last thing Shadowsight thought of before he dove into the pool was Bramblestar. Where was his spirit? Was he gone forever?
Ha opened his eyes, expecting to be at the Moonpool, or at least Shadowclan, but he found himself in an unfamiliar place.
A field. A big, grassy field. Shadowsight could see white, fluffy sheep in the distance. He was quite confused.
He looked down and could see right through his paws. Where am I and why am I here? He wondered.
Shadowsight began walking on the soft grass, looking for any sign of what he should do.
Eventually he came to a forest, and at the edge of the forest was a huge oak tree. Next to the tree, there sat a brown, tabby cat with his head resting dejectedly on his paws.
"Bramblestar!" Shadowsight called, racing toward him.
"Shadowsight?" Bramblestar mewed, looking up.
"You have to come back!" Shadowsight said excitedly. "We stopped Ashfur!"
"But, I can't come back." Bramblestar meowed. "I don't know how."
"What do you mean?" Shadowsight asked, confused. "Are you lost?"
But Bramblestar didn't answer and the forest started to fade. Then, everything went black.
Jayfeather woke, curled up by the Moonpool. He blinked open his eyes, and he was blind again. There were two other cats with him. Shadowsight, who was asleep, and... Half Moon!
"Where are we Jay's Wing?" She mewed. "Are we in your time? In the future?"
"Yes," Jayfeather answered. "But no one can know you're from the past."
"Why not?" Half Moon asked. But Jayfeather ignored her and moved on.
"Call me Jayfeather," he continued. "We can say you're from the tribe, but you'll need a tribe name. Also, you can't be Stoneteller anymore. Your name can be Moon, short for Moon Shining on Water."
"Why can't I keep my name?" Half Moon meowed.
"Tribe names are different now." Jayfeather responded, turning to face her. "I need you to trust me."
"A - are you blind?" She stuttered, looking into his cloudy, blue eyes.
"Yes," Jayfeather said quietly, turning away.
Then, Shadowsight woke and stood up.
"Jayfeather! I found Bramblestar!" He meowed excitedly. " But who is she?"
"This is Moon," Jayfeather explained. "She's visiting from the tribe."
"Okay," Shadowsight replied, curious. "And I found Bramblestar, in a field with sheep!"
"Is he with you?" Jayfeather asked excitedly.
"I don't think so," Shadowsight mewed dejectedly. "And I'm not sure where the field is."
"Great," Jayfeather muttered.
"We should get back to our clans," Jayfeather said louder. "I'll take Moon back with me."
"Okay, bye!" Shadowsight called as he raced away.
"Come on," Jayfeather mewed to Half Moon, leading he to the Thunderclan camp.
"Who was that?" Half Moon asked.
"Shadowsight," Jayfeather answered. "He's Shadowclan's medicine cat. I'm Thunderclan's medicine cat."
"What's a medicine cat?" Half Moon meowed.
"We heal our clanmates and interpret dreams and signs from Starclan." Jayfeather responded.
"Starclan?" Half Moon mewed.
"Well, there are five clans and..." Jayfeather explained as they walked through the forest.
