Chapter 14:
When Jayfeather and Half Moon reached the camp and stepped inside, they stopped, surprised at what they saw.
Bluestar, Onestar, Leopardstar, and Rowanstar were standing in the clearing, talking to all the Thunderclan cats.
"Hello, Jayfeather." Bluestar greeted him. She turned back to the clan and announced:
"We thank Jayfeather, Lionblaze, Dovewing, Ivypool, Shadowsight, and Rootspring for their help. Hopefully Bramblestar will return soon."
Bluestar then gestured to Half Moon with her tail and continued, "This friend from the tribe may stay as long as she wants."
Then all the Starclan cats raced out of the clearing to give the good news to the rest of the clans.
Lionblaze ran over to Jayfeather and meowed, "They explained everything we did for the clans! It's great to have Starclan back."
"Yes," Jayfeather agreed. "This is Moon. She's visiting from the tribe."
"Cool! How's the tribe doing?" Lionblaze asked. "We haven't visited them for a while."
"Good," Half Moon answered awkwardly as Squirrelflight came over to her.
"How are Stormfur and Brook doing? And their kits?" Squirrelflight meowed.
"They're fine, everyone's fine." Half Moon mewed.
"Why don't I take Moon to my den to check her paws, they must be sore from the journey." Jayfeather cut through the growing number of questions.
He led Half Moon over to his den, away from the crowd. Alderheart was sorting herbs back by the store.
"Thanks," Half Moon whispered, as Alderheart turned around.
"Hi Jayfeather!" Alderheart mewed. "Who's this?"
"This is Moon, she's visiting from the tribe." Jayfeather answered. "Can you get some dock for her sore pads?"
"Sure," Alderheart meowed, ducking into the herb store.
"It's amazing what you've done with the hollow," Half Moon exclaimed. "But what happened to the badgers?" Jayfeather winced, remembering stories about the badger attack.
"We chased a few out, and they attacked some moons before I was born." He said. "But we beat them."
Alderheart came out carrying a few big, green leaves. He set them down by Half Moon and started chewing up the leaves.
Jayfeather checked Half Moon's pads, and, of course, they were fine. But, he put the dock on anyway.
"Does that feel better?" Jayfeather asked Half Moon with a meaningful glance.
"Yes," she sighed. Jayfeather could tell that she hated all this lying and pretending. Jayfeather didn't enjoy it either, but he knew it was necessary.
Jayfeather would have told everyone the truth for her, instead of the fake stories she hated. But, Jayfeather knew that it wouldn't turn out well.
He wanted to comfort her, but not when Alderheart was right there. Just trust me, he wanted to say, please.

Chapter 15:
Bramblestar had given up. He had no idea where he was, or even if he was in the real world or the dream world. He was just a lost spirit somewhere out in existence.
Shadowsight had come a few sunrises ago. Or maybe a few moons ago, it was hard to tell. But seeing Shadowsight just as clueless as himself was not very comforting.
The clans had no idea how to save Bramblestar, and Bramblestar had no idea how to save himself.
A silvery light flickered several tail lengths in front of him. The light slowly developed into a silver and white she-cat that Bramblestar had never seen before.
He stared into her bright blue eyes, mesmerized by her peculiar appearance. She started to walk towards him, but stopped a short distance away.
"Hello Bramblestar." She mewed.
Her voice jerked Bramblestar out of his trance. He sat up slowly, and asked:
"Who are you?"
"I am Silverfeather."
"Why are you here?"
"For you."
"How did you find me?"
"I followed Shadowsight's path."
"What are you going to do now?"
"That depends," Silverfeather meowed simply. "On whether or not you are prepared to return."
"Return to the clans?" Bramblestar didn't think that that was possible anymore.
"When you are ready, the others will come." Silverfeather said, turning away.
"Wait!" Bramblestar called and bounded after her. "Who will come? And what should I do when they get here?"
But Silverfeather was already gone. She had vanished quicker than she had come.

Chapter 16:
The next day at sunhigh, Half Moon watched as Bramblestar walked into camp. She didn't entirely understand what was going on, but she figured out that Bramblestar was Thunderclan's leader.
She had heard that Bramblestar was missing, and this Bramblestar was also Firestar. It didn't make very much sense to her.
Half Moon was also finding it hard to pretend to be from the future. The warriors kept asking her about cats whose names she didn't recognize, and they assumed that she'd never been near their forest before.
And there were so many cats, so many names, so many clans. She knew she would never learn them all.
But the worst part was that she couldn't spend any time with Jay's Wing. And she had to call him Jayfeather.
Half Moon stood up from the edge of the crowd of cats greeting Bramblestar/Firestar, and padded into the warriors den.
She curled up in the nest someone had made for her last night, and listened to the warriors' many worried comments and questions about their missing leader.
She wanted to help them find Bramblestar, but she had no idea how. She tried asking Jay's Wing, but he just said that no one knew where Bramblestar was or how to find him.
Half Moon eventually fell asleep, thinking about how much she would rather be back in the mountains with Jay's Wing.
Hollyleaf paced around a small clearing in the forests of Starclan. Something still wasn't right. Where did Bramblestar go? How did Ashfur do all that? Where did he learn all those secrets that even the wisest Starclan cats didn't know?
Ashfur had known exactly what to do to steal Bramblestar's body, and to trap the Moonpool in the Dark Forest. He even knew how to easily switch between the real world (the clans) and the spirit world (Starclan and the Dark Forest) without the Moonpool.
But how does this help find Bramblestar? Hollyleaf wondered. And what even is the difference between the real world and the spirit world?
Well, Hollyleaf thought, the real world is physical. But, you don't necessarily need a physical body to be there.
Starclan is a part of the spirit world, because it isn't physical and physical bodies can't go there. But what about that weird in between place? The connection between the worlds?
The place that spirits pass through to switch between worlds, like when they die. The place that's only truly accessible to spirits who have already died, because they are no longer connected to their physical bodies.
Hollyleaf paused and sat down. Maybe that's the answer! Bramblestar had lost his body from Ashfur stealing it. So he was a completely disconnected spirit in the physical world. But, he hadn't died.
That could've bent some of the rules of the universe and sent him to the in between place, which could've sent him to anywhere in both worlds, or maybe even another time!
"But how can we get him back?" Hollyleaf muttered. "How can we follow him through the place that doesn't obey the rules of the universe?"
She sighed and looked up at the blank sky. Her head hurt from all that thinking. Suddenly, she felt an unseen power of countless cats fill her soul. She heard them speak to her, clearly and directly.
"The three will become six, then eight
Some will come from a different time or fate
To join together and restore stability
And stop the one who will destroy reality"
The spirits left as quickly as they came, leaving Hollyleaf amazed and bewildered. Did I just receive a prophecy? She wondered. But I thought that only leaders and medicine cats could do that. And what does it mean?
Hollyleaf stood up and started pacing again, pondering the new prophecy and wondering what to do next.

Chapter 17:
Jayfeather curled up in his nest and quickly fell asleep. It had been a long, hard day, but Starclan had returned and it was all worth it. Also, Firestar was temporarily leading Thunderclan, which cleared up a lot of issues.
Jayfeather opened his eyes and saw that he was in Starclan. He started walking through to forest, looking for Leafpool and Hollyleaf.
"Jayfeather!" Jayfeather heard someone whisper. He turned around and saw Hollyleaf behind him.
"Hollyl-" He started to exclaim.
"Quiet!" Hollyleaf hissed. "I need to talk with you without anyone overhearing."
"Okay," Jayfeather spoke softer. He followed Hollyleaf through the forest to a small clearing.
"No one ever comes by here. So, this morning I was thinking about Ashfur and Bramblestar and something happened." Hollyleaf began. "I received a prophecy."
"Really?! What is it?" Jayfeather asked.
"The three will become six, then eight, some will come from a different time or fate, to join together and restore stability, and stop the one who will destroy reality." Hollyleaf meowed.
"I haven't told anyone," Hollyleaf contiued. "I was worried about what they might think, because usually only past medicine cats and leaders receive prophecies."
"It's probably best to keep it to ourselves." Jayfeather agreed. "Do you know what any of it means?"
"Well, the Three is you, Lionblaze, and Dovewing, obviously, and the six is probably you three and Ivypool, Shadowsight, and Rootspring. But I dont know who the other two in the eight are." Hollyleaf answered.
"I might know one," Jayfeather replied. Half Moon is from the past, so could be her. "But I'm not sure on the last one. The six already saved Starclan, and that's part of restoring stability. Maybe we need the other two cats to find Bramblestar."
"Yeah," Hollyleaf said. "And I think the one who'll destroy reality is Ashfur, and the eight will have to stop him to completely restore stability."
"Ok, so now we need to find all eight," Jayfeather meowed. "Then find Bramblestar. The easiest way to get all of us together is probably in a dream, because we're in different clans."
"Umm, I doubt I could share a dream with two or three cats at once, let alone eight." Hollyleaf cut in.
"Don't worry, Silverfeather will probably help. She shared a dream with the six to help us save Starclan." Jayfeather mewed.
"Who's Silverfeather?" Hollyleaf asked.
"You'll meet her tomorrow night!" Jayfeather called as the dream started to fade.
Half Moon crouched against the rock, her white pelt camouflaged on the snow. She watched as the eagle swooped down to catch the mouse innocently nibbling a seed.
She waited until the right moment, and leaped with claws unsheathed. She landed straight on the eagles back, digging in her claws.
The bird fell, unable to fly with the added weight. She bit it's neck, and the eagle went limp.
Half Moon stepped back to admire her catch. It was a fairly big eagle, and it would feed many mouths.
Too bad this is only a dream, she sighed. I wish I were really back in the mountains.
Then, everything started to fade. Half Moon watched as the mountains, along with the eagle, slowly dissapeared and were quickly replaced by a beautiful meadow filled with grasses and flowers.
A familiar silver she-cat was sitting a few tail lengths away with her eyes closed. Half Moon recognized her as the cat that brought her and Jay's Wing through time.
What did Jay's Wing call her? Half Moon tried to remember. Silver something? Silver... Silverfeather!
Hollyleaf was wandering through the forests of Starclan, wondering who Silverfeather was and why she was able to share a dream with so many cats.
I guess I'll meet her tonight, along with the cats in the prophecy. She thought as she walked. I wonder if Jayfeather figured out who the last two cats are.
Hollyleaf stopped, realizing she didn't recognize where she was anymore. The trees had ended, and a huge meadow took it's place.
There were two white she-cats several tail lengths away, and Hollyleaf didn't recognize either of them. She cautiously stepped towards them.
As she got closer, Hollyleaf noticed that the cats were very similar. Almost identical, except one had silver stripes, and she didn't know about their eyes because she couldn't see them.
"Are you Silverfeather?" The white cat asked the silver-striped she-cat.
"Yes," Silverfeather answered, opening her blue eyes. She turned to Hollyleaf and continued, "Welcome to the Prophecy of Eight."
I'm one of the eight? Hollyleaf hadn't thought if that before. I'm dead, so I guess that a different fate... but... I'm not good enough to be that important.
Suddenly, cats started to appear. Jayfeather, Ivypool, Lionblaze, Dovewing, Shadowsight, and Rootspring.
The eight of them formed a semi circle around Silverfeather, who turned to Jayfeather.
"It's all yours." She said, before fading away.
"Allright. We are the eight cats who are prophesied to save the clans. Hollyleaf, tell them the prophecy." Jayfeather meowed.
"The three will become six, then eight, some will come from a different time or fate, to join together and restore stability, and stop the one who will destroy reality." Hollyleaf mewed.
"Thanks," Jayfeather replied. "Me, Lionblaze, and Dovewing are the three, obviously. Ivypool, Shadowsight, and Rootspring make the six. The last two are Half Moon and Hollyleaf."
"Are you sure it's me?" Hollyleaf asked.
"Yes." Jayfeather responded confidently. "Now we need to find Bramblestar."

Chapter 19:
"If you don't mind me asking, who's Half Moon?" Dovewing meowed.
"She's visiting from the tribe," Jayfeather explained. "We need to focus on Bramblestar; we can get to know each other later."
"I think I know why he went missing in the first place," Hollyleaf started. "He was a completely disconnected spirit, but he wasn't dead. I think that sent him through the connection between the worlds to another place and time."
"Uhh, what?" Lionblaze meowed, not really understanding.
"Bramblestar could be anywhere," Jayfeather replied. "Any place, and any time, past, present, or future."
"Then how do we find him?" Lionblaze exclaimed. "We can't travel through time!"
Jayfeather and Half Moon exchanged glances.
"I saw him," Shadowsight mewed hesitantly. "When I jumped through the Moonpool after we saved Starclan, I had a dream. Or a vision, I'm not sure."
"I saw Bramblestar at the edge of a big field with sheep. He was next to a big oak tree." He continued. "I told him that we stopped Ashfur, but he said that he couldn't come back. I asked him why, but the dream, or vision, ended."
"I think I know where that field is," Half Moon said. "It's on the way from here to the mountains."
"If it is, I don't remember it," Lionblaze countered.
"Neither do I," Dovewing agreed. "We did see a few fields with sheep, but not by a forest."
"And they usually had fences, or a barn nearby." Lionblaze continued.
"Yeah, there weren't any fences or barns." Shadowsight added.
Half Moon looked at Jayfeather helplessly. He had to reveal their secret. It was the only way to save Bramblestar.
"The field isn't there now, but it was in the past, many moons ago." Jayfeather meowed loudly.
"Then how would Half Moon know about it?" Ivypool asked.
"Well... there's something I never told you." Jayfeather replied hesitantly.
"What?" Ivypool mewed, suspicious.
"Well, back when we first found the tunnels..." Jayfeather carefully explained the whole time-traveling story, skipping the small details and his relationship with Half Moon.
The next morning, Hollyleaf stepped into the newly cleared tunnel entrance. She led the seven other cats through the dark passage, memories of the past flooding her mind.
"I don't like this," Shadowsight mewed. "I can't see anything."
"Don't worry," Dovewing replied cheerfully. "You'll be able to see in the cave."
"I had no idea there were tunnels down here!" Rootspring exclaimed. "How far do they go?"
"From Windclan almost to Skyclan," Hollyleaf answered.
"Wow, that's a lot of tunnels!" Rootspring mewed.
Eventually, they arrived at a cave with a river running through the middle.
"This is so cool!" Rootspring whispered.
"It's been a while, hasn't it?" Lionblaze mewed to Jayfeather. Jayfeather nodded.
"Which tunnel did you go through the first time you time-traveled?" Dovewing asked.
"I think I just went back up the Thunderclan tunnel." Jayfeather responded.
"So we should probably go through there," Dovewing continued.
Hollyleaf saw a flash of orange fur in one of the tunnel entrances.
"Fallen Leaves?" She whispered, padding towards it.
The ginger and white cat cautiously peeked his head out into the cave.
"Why are you hiding?" Hollyleaf asked him.
"Is she dead too?" Fallen Leaves said, looking at Half Moon.
"Half Moon? No, but she is from the past." Hollyleaf answered. "Do you know her?"
"Fallen Leaves?" Jayfeather called, running over to Hollyleaf.
"What? Fallen Leaves?" Half Moon meowed, following Jayfeather. "But, how? And... ar-are you a ghost?"
Ivypool stepped out of the tunnel and looked around.
"It doesn't seem any different," she mewed as Half Moon bounded out of the tunnel behind her.
"Let me check." Dovewing asked, concentrating as she used her powers.
Ivypool looked over at Jayfeather, who was whispering to Half Moon. Ivypool was surprised to see that his blind eyes had been replaced by normal, blue ones.
"I can't see any clan cats!" Dovewing said excitedly. "We really are in the past!"
"This is so cool!" Rootspring whispered.
"Half Moon, lead us to Bramblestar's field." Jayfeather meowed.
"Okay," Half Moon replied quietly.
Ivypool followed the group through the forest, and enede up walking beside her sister, Dovewing.
"Isn't this great!" Dovewing mewed. "We're so close to saving Bramblestar."
"Yeah, sure." Ivypool responded.
"Why aren't you excited?" Dovewing asked, concerned.
"It was never this easy before," Ivypool answered. "I feel like something's going to go wrong."

Chapter 22:
Jayfeather walked beside Half Moon, unsure if she knew where she was leading them. He immediately pushed the thought away, feeling guilty for doubting her.
She's the one I should trust the most, Jayfeather thought. If I doubted anyone, it would probably be Shadowsight or Rootspring, but they've proved themselves enough so far.
Jayfeather glanced at the cats behind him. They were all split up into pairs, and it looked oddly formal and organized.
Rootspring and Shadowsight were right behind him, with Ivypool and Dovewing in the middle, then Hollyleaf and Lionblaze at the rear.
Jayfeather also noticed that Ivypool and Lionblaze were nervous, but Dovewing, Rootspring, and Shadowsight were excited. Hollyleaf felt hopeful, and Half Moon was determined.
Jayfeather, well, he just hoped they wouldn't screw this up. But he did feel more optimistic than usual.
They walked for hours, in relative silence. It wasn't until a little after sunhigh that Half Moon said, "The field is right through these trees."
Rootspring and Shadowsight bounded forward, but Jayfeather blocked them with his tail.
"We need to be cautious, we don't know what's out there." Jayfeather meowed sternly.
"I don't see anything," Dovewing mewed slowly, a little disappointed.
Jayfeather crept forward and peered out from between the trees.
Seeing nothing, he carefully stepped out into the field, and looked around as the others quietly joined him.
It was exactly like Shadowsight had described it. A big, grassy field with white sheep in the distance.
Lionblaze followed Jayfeather into the field, hoping that Bramblestar would be there.
Hollyleaf walked next to him, her starry paws almost floating over the grass.
Lionblaze suddenly wondered what it was like to be dead. Well, I guess I'll find out eventually.
"Rootspring, do you see anything?" Lionblaze heard Jayfeather call.
"No..." Rootspring responded. "Wait, over there!" He raced away across the field.
Lionblaze followed Jayfeather as he sighed and ran after the young warrior.
Rootspring stopped at a forest at the edge of the field, and started talking excitedly.
Lionblaze and the rest of the group quickly caught up. Lionblaze thought that Rootspring was going insane before he remembered that Rootspring could see dead cats.
Shadowsight stopped at a huge oak tree a few tail-lengths away.
"This is where I saw Bramblestar in my vision!" he exclaimed.
Rootspring stopped talking and closed his eyes, concentrating.
Suddenly the brown-furred, translucent cat appeared, and Lionblaze found himself staring at Bramblestar's spirit.
Lionblaze walked behind Jayfeather and Half Moon, only a little disappointed. He had expected something to go wrong, plus he still believed there was a way to get back, so he was fairly optimistic.
Jayfeather and Half Moon, however, looked almost glad to be stuck in the past.
"I could take everyone to the tribe. You could stay with me, I'd be great!" Lionblaze heard Half Moon whisper to Jayfeather.
Of course she's fine, Lionblaze thought, she's from the past. And it would be cool to meet the original tribe cats...
His train of thought stopped as he realized that they were almost at the tunnel entrance.
A few moments later, all nine cats silently stopped at the entrance.
"Whatever happens, we'll all be alright." Jayfeather meowed. "Dovewing, as soon as we go back up, use your powers to check if it worked."
Dovewing nodded, and Jayfeather turned and led the way into the tunnel.
Lionblaze pushed away old memories as they reached the cave.
"Fallen Leaves?" Lionblaze heard Hollyleaf whisper, but the ginger and white cat was nowhere to be found.
Lionblaze solemnly followed Jayfeather back up the tunnel. Everyone held their breath as Jayfeather stepped through the entrance.
Then, they all waited somewhat patiently as Dovewing used her powers.
"I don't see any clan cats," Dovewing mewed sadly. "It didn't work."
"I see someone," Rootspring meowed. "But, I don't recognize them."
Suddenly, the mysterious spirit appeared. He had a ginger, black, and white pelt with yellow eyes.
Lionblaze, Jayfeather, Hollyleaf, Ivypool, and Dovewing bristled with shock and anger.
