Katti looked up, blinking, thinking something else for a moment. She sat down, quite a way aways from him. She glanced away as if she didn't hear his question. "It's the park. Does anyone, really? No ones like, 'oh, I go to the park daily!' just so they can reply yes when someone asks a question like that." She went into a small rant, waving her hands about and puffing out her cheeks. Then she glanced back at him and looked away, embarrassed. "Pff. Whatever though, I'm just ranting." This is what happened when someone tried to have a conversation with her. Sighing, she quietly excused herself and began to walk away, slightly beginning to think that he was a hunter. His weapon might be hidden, and she had to be cautious. Lucky for her, she had a trick up her sleeve.

Jack saw her sit to the complete opposite end of the bench and shrugged; at least she wasn't so foolish as to trust him right then. She'd be dead in a heartbeat, not questions asked. Listening to her rant, he raised an eyebrow. What was up with that? She sounded frustrated, though he thought it was because she didn't have any options besides talk to him and see what happened. He looked away, glancing around the park and lifting a hand to wave goodbye as she excused herself. How boring of a confrontation. When she was far enough away - but not too far - he got up as well, sliding his hands into his pockets and glancing around. He wished this would go a little faster, not to mention more exciting. He was debating whether to just give up the chase and kill her while he was still in range, but he knew he wasn't close enough yet. From this distance she still had the chance to escape, and he never liked failing a hunt. So, he had no choice but to follow after her. He sighed.

Katti heard quiet footsteps behind her and cursed silently. He was a hunter then, or perhaps he had another reason for following. Now that she knew, she glanced behind her, staring daggers. She then shoved her hands in her pockets, realizing now that he had seen her land, and unfurled her wings. Giving one, hard push, she lifted off the ground. She got higher and higher, until she was above the clouds and gliding away quickly. Her eyes narrowed, trying to adjust to the sudden loss of oxygen. She pushed her wings, trying her best to get away. She had a cave she used as a spare hideout, and it wouldn't be dangerous if she led him there. Gah, why did she land right next to a hunter?
Jack was catching up to the Angel, looking around but keeping his gaze on her most of the time. When he caught her glaring at him he waved nonchalantly, continuing towards her even as she stopped. Well, it seemed she knew what he was now; took it long enough. He blinked as he saw the Angel unfurl its wings, pale grey like the feather that had floated down to him. He narrowed his eyes, reaching back for his staff and watching her suddenly take off into the sky swiftly, like a little bird. He groaned; really? She just had to make this hard. He looked up, catching her form flying between the clouds and followed her, keeping one hand on his staff now, just in case she foolishly decided to land again. He doubted it, but hey, some Angels were more foolish than others. This one was probably one of them.

Katti didn't know how long she could continue flying, most likely until nightfall. She would waste a lot of stamina, though. Sighing, she saw his figure slowly going after her, and she knew she couldn't land. Narrowing her eyes, she pushed her wings back, flying a good distance ahead--right into the nearby forest. She waited in a tree, knowing if he was coming. She had a plan, not being so stupid as to lead him into killing her. Her hair swished softly in the wind and she blinked, eyes watering from the cold.
((I suddenly just got really defensive, like, hey, whoa, you do not call her foolish. she's a very smart person
He walked for a while, always keeping the Angel in his sights, though often having to go through alleys and whatnot to keep up. He sighed, reluctantly picking up speed until he was running, his arms pumping at his sides. He really wished she would just give up, like that other Angel he'd seen before in the street fight. "Seriously..." He muttered, seeing where she was heading after a while: the forest. It wasn't especially big, but big enough to allow her to hide. Great...he kept running, soon entering the trees and slowing to a walk, looking around at all the treetops. He guessed she would be hiding somewhere up there.

Katti smirked as she saw him enter the forest, staying deathly silent in her tree. She waited patiently for him to walk by, eyes darting back and forth. She looked up, hearing something similar to a howl. Glancing up, she noticed it was getting late. Wolves. The forest was away from town and only connected to more wildlife, so it was to be expected. She snapped back into reality, holding her breath as he walked past. Then, taking her boot, smacked him on the back of the head, hopefully knocking him out.
Jack looked up as he heard the faraway howls of wolves, blinking. Was it really that late already? He wondered if they were rallying for a hunt, or rousing the pack for something else. He shook his head, trying to focus again. They were far enough away that he didn't have to worry about them, so he turned his attention back to the hunt at hand. He looked around, eyes narrowed as he gazed up at the trees, his hands in his pockets. In his brief distraction he had failed to look up early enough, leaving a blind spot that proved to be a big mistake. He grunted as he felt a sharp blow to the back of his head, toppling forward and landing on the ground with a thud. He was taken by surprise so much and the blow was just hard enough to knock him out, and he closed his eyes, falling limp on the ground.

Katti held her breath as he fell, then let out a sigh of relief. That was one problem taken care of. She leapt down from the tree, wiping her hands on her jeans. She looked down at the knocked out boy. He didn't seem harmful now. Tensing up suddenly, she realized that the wolves were drawing near. He must have hit his head and they smelled blood or something. Glancing down at him again, she wondered if she should leave him to the wolves. Staring for a moment, she gritted her teeth and then pulled him up onto her shoulder, being surprisingly strong. She started to run, her second hideout close to the forest. Katti couldn't fly, as she was weighed down by the limp body, but eventually made it to an abandoned house. She threw open the door, then slammed it closed as she went in. Huffing, she threw him down on the mattress. It's not like she could leave, knowing she had left someone to die a horrible death--even if they were trying to kill her. Walking over to a broken closet door, she opened it and pulled out some rope, then got out a chair. She threw him into the chair then tied him up, making sure he couldn't kill her if he woke up. After searching his pockets and shoes for weapons and taking them, she cast them aside and sat down on the mattress herself, crossing her legs and waiting.
Jack awoke a little while later, groaning softly and blinking his eyes open, slowly lifting his head. He narrowed his eyes when he realized he wasn't in the woods anymore, but in a house of sorts, looking up sharply and glancing around. When he tried to get up he found himself restrained, looking down to see ropes tied tightly around him, binding him to the chair. It took him two seconds to figure out it was the Angel; no human would tie him to a chair like this. He saw it out of the corner of his eye and pulled some against the restraints, trying to reach for his weapon and finding it not there. He narrowed his eyes; the girl had taken it! Of course he could fight and defend himself without it, but it would make it a lot harder to get out of the ropes. He raised an eyebrow at her, recognizing her from the park. Maybe she wasn't so stupid after all, though bringing a Hunter right into your home wasn't the smartest thing to do in the first place; if he got out she was done for, simple as that. He tilted his head. "Alright, you got me here, tied up with my weapons cast aside. Why not just kill me now? It would make your life a lot easier." He said, blinking at her. Might as well find out what she wanted with him.

Katti lifted her head, seeing that he had awoken. She smiled as he checked for his weapon to find it gone. At his question, she let out a sigh. "Why would I kill you? I'm not heartless." She glanced away, as if regretting something for a moment. "Anyway, you should be thanking me. The onto reason I brought you here is because those wolves would have torn you to shreds if I didn't." Her eyes looked away, scouring the room. She refused to meet his gaze. Katti hadn't thought this through all the way, and was thinking of what to do. I could leave him here and lock the door. She thought, then sighed, upset. No, he would starve. The one thing she had always had a problem with was killing. She would never be able to live with herself if she let someone die.
He sighed at her answer, noticing she looked nervous. She hadn't thought this through completely, it seemed. The realization almost made him laugh; she was more foolish than he had thought! Knocking a Hunter out and bringing them to your own home, tying them to a chair and taking their weapons, then not try to kill them? He couldn't help but chuckle, smirking and shaking his head. "Okay then," he said, "what are you going to do with me then? I can't do anything, and you don't want to kill me. Not to mention that if I get out of these ropes, you're dead." He said, raising an eyebrow. "You may be against killing, but I'm not." He smirked.

Katti let out a laugh, then started laughing uncontrollably and fell on the floor, clutching her chest as she cackled. "You-" She laughed again, then got up, taking a deep breath and wiping a tear away. "You think I would be dead?" She put a hand on her hip, eyeing him. "I said I'm against killing. Doesn't mean I'm against beating the crap out of someone." She smiled, walking over and standing in front of him, looking down. "Just because you were bred to hunt angels or whatever, doesn't mean you'll succeed. Certainly not with me."
