(Alright.) Spottedfawn shuffled and turned in her nest, her 'brows' knitted together in fright and confusion as she dreamed. She ran in the dream, trying to outrun the major thunderstorm but she was too slow of course. Rain matted her fur down, making her freezing cold, and she watched in horror as lightning struck multiple trees down and one into a small flame that was of course quickly put down by the rain. She wailed out as she tried to find her clan-mates, scared for their lives. As she saw a cat that had stars in its pelt, she awoke with her fur matted down onto her small body. She shook for a moment, and tried to calm down first. She took a glance around her surroundings to make sure she was still in the den, which she was. She sighed softly to herself, and laid back down in her nest. Such a vivid dream.. It has to be a sign... But for what?.. I don't think its an actual thunder storm, usually StarClan isn't directly to the point like that.. so it has to have some sort of meaning... She thought as she slowly dragged her tongue across her pelt, partially to clean herself and partially to calm herself.

Poppystar stretched in his nest as dimmlight filtered through his den. He stood up, eyes bleary with sleep. He stepped out of his den as strong wind blasted his fur. He shivered and glanced at the camp. He was the only one up at the moment, or so it seemed. He padded softly to the fresh kill to find it had been blown all over the place by the wind. He sighed and began to dig a pit so it wouldn't blow away again.
Pastelfur was curled in her nest and her tail twitched before opening her eyes.
Mudpaw jumped out of the den to almost be swept off his feet and fall over. He gasped and tripped.
Iceberg was woken to wind blowing a leaf into her face and made her stand up. She glanced at her small prey pile and buried it under her nest.

Windpetal trotted out, looking over as she noticed a few cats were awake. She purred in delight.
Silentpaw turned around and kept sleeping.
-Kitname-Appname-Name of Cat- Birdkit/[Birdpaw]/BirdGaze Username: Nightmaregg Age: 9 Moons Rank: Apprentice Gender: Female Looks: Birdpaw's base color is an off white. She has various markings of ginger, such as a ginger, darker ginger, and somewhat of a sandy pale. The darker ginger takes over most of her back, ears, tail, and one front leg. From the ginger patches on her back, head, and two legs come ginger and pale ginger spots, some rotary. The markings on her face include streaks under her eyes a flash on the bridge of her nose that does not connect with her nose, and the rotary spots beneath both eyes. Her eyes are a brilliant shade of green and tend to give off a lot more warmth than how warm Birdpaw really is just through their color. However, when she's angry her eyes will become more like slits. Birdpaw's build is a bit of a mixed one. She mostly has short to medium length fur. Her muzzle is narrow and slightly longer than average, and her ears are long and curved at the tip. Her legs are long but sturdy with large paws, especially her hind paws. The rest of her body is slender with her shoulder prominently peeking up and little fat on her chest and underbelly. However, her tail is quite different than the rest of her body. Her tail is long and bushy with an overly-soft texture. Birdpaw's voice is most always curved with sharpness and irritability. Other times it can be crackly do to under-use, because she doesn't speak very much and usually just grunts when other cats talk to her. Though when she's comfortable and natural around someone, her voice is actually quite sweet-sounding. It's not high-pitched, though not too low-pitched either. Birdpaw's voice takes a comfortable in-between of the two extremes. Birdpaw has a bit of a flowery scent, because she likes to spends lots of time in fields with flowers. Though she is a bit embarrassed by her love for flowers. Distinguishable features (In short):
-Thin-furred and slender body
-Thick, long, and soft tail
-Slightly longer muzzle
-Long legs
-Curved ears
-Bright green eyes
-Eye markings
Description: [ + Forthright ] [ + Observant ] [ + Tolerant ] [ = Impassive ] [ = Shy ] [ = Solitary ] [ - Callous ] [ - Selfish ] [ - Cynical ] No first impression of Birdpaw could ever be described as genuinely friendly. She has a constant scowl on her face that it doesn't seem like she can control, and her tone is bitter and sharp, even when she doesn't intend it to be. Cats can be mislead by her attitude as well, which is cold and somewhat-insulting. All these traits would hint at a cat quick to anger; however, Birdpaw is painfully passive. At the very first sign of trouble, she will turn tail and run as fast as she can. Thus, it's highly unlikely for her to stick around for a fight, no matter how annoying she finds the other cat to be, she'll never strike at them. On top of her passiveness, the she-cat is also fearful of plenty of things, someone it can even stem into hints of anxiety. She is easily spooked, and is a little more likely to lash out when she's frightened. Furthermore, she prefers to be by herself, or at least she's convinced herself of such, and will often stray away from others. This can be connected to her cynicism, and how she thinks lowly of other cats in general, but that's something she keeps to herself. As far as how she acts around others in most situations, Birdpaw is not completely unpleasant. If she senses tension, for her own selfish reasons of not wanting a fight, she'll try her best to seem a bit more friendly. Though even her best attempts aren't that great. Along with her previously mentioned passiveness, one of Birdpaw's better traits is how tolerant she is. So even though she has tendencies to be mean, she is not impossible to get along with, in fact, if you do the right things, she's actually quite easy to befriend, if you can put up with her. And as a friend, she is a steadfast one and puts cats she calls friends above all others. And she gets almost uncharacteristically excited when the topic of exploration and new things come up, as it's her biggest passion.
Forthright:
" Alright, I'm be honest. No, I don't think that looks 'good' on you "
Birdpaw, in short, does not every step around someone just to please them. This could be partly because she has a lack of care of the feelings of others, or because she just doesn't know that sometimes when cats say 'oh I look terrible', they actually want the other to say they aren't instead of agreeing with them. And even if she did know, it'd be disputable whether or not she'd still be brutally honest with them anyway. The up side to a trait like this, and why it's a positive one, is because Birdpaw never lies. She sees no reason in lying her way through life and will most certainly always tell the truth. And, like previously stated, that truth can hurt sometimes. Even when she's with someone she likes, she'd still be that honest. So maybe it's better to hold off on those kind of questions when speaking to Birdpaw. Other things about her that make her forthright are that she is very out-spoken and direct. There isn't an anxious bone in her body. This heavily effects her speech, but it doesn't effect her actions as much. Almost her entire way of speaking is based on her forthrightness, because she says anything that's on her mind, unless it's something she wants hidden, no matter how blunt. Then she'd get confused if the cat she was talking to got upset with her.
Observant:
" Is that a cut on your shoulder? Trying to hide it, are we?"
Most of the time Birdpaw just sits in the shadows and watches. It's almost all she's ever done, because she hardly speaks to others, so she's learned to observe. Not just with her eyes either. Her time as a loner has made her listen more closely just as much as it's made her take in all she sees. There is hardly a thing that can get past her trained eyes, and she's sure to pick up on even the quietest of mutterings. If a cat is trying to hide something on their pelt, or under their breath, it won't get past Birdpaw. The only thing that will go completely over her head is a cat's true intentions. If a cat is hiding something, but won't say anything, then she will hesitantly admit defeat. Though, that would be only if it weren't blatantly obvious, like furious blushing an incredibly depressed expression, but other than that she can't read into another cat's feelings very well. And if she sees something, she definitely isn't one to keep quiet about it or keep it to herself. As far as effecting either her speech or actions, it doesn't really effect either, except when she'd suddenly stop to admire nature and then end up getting left behind. Her observance effects her self, so her thoughts and preferred life-style.
Tolerant:
" Alright... Yeah, that's fine... "
Despite everything else that Birdpaw is, such as cruel, unkind, and uncaring, but she can be quite patient and tolerant. It doesn't bother her if a cat speaks about their differing opinions, because Birdpaw will be one of the first to agree to disagree. If she disapproves, she won't say anything, and the only way to tell would be if she spoke slowly or gritted her teeth. She can also endure any kind of familiarity, as far as cats jumping all over her or anything else. If a smaller cat were to jump on her, she would groan and tell them to get off in a monotone way, but she is tolerant enough to not shake them off or be rough in any way. She even lets kits or young cats play with her tail or bite on her ears, and only gently try to get them off if they really started to hurt her. This isn't really for a fondness of others or anything of the sort, her actions of being so tolerant can be summed up just by saying that Birdpaw has a lack of care enough to know who is appropriate to get angry at and who isn't. Her tolerance is one of the two factors that makes her voice tend to be a bit flat and lacking excitement, and it effects her decisions because she isn't one to jump into a fight. Birdpaw would far rather walk away from confrontation than jump right in. She has a lot of patience, even with cats her age who are starting to get on her nerves.
Impassive:
" My opinion? You over-estimate how much I care. "
One of the most major things about Birdpaw's personality is how impassive she is. The only common emotions that come over her features are any kind of slight frown or confused look. It's hard to read into her emotions. She is almost never known to smile, and will often tell others that she doesn't know how to smile, though that isn't an invitation for them to try and 'teach' her. When she is disappointed, she won't make any kind of face hinting so. When she's angry, she remains completely calm, with maybe an irritated flick of her tail or two. But when she's confused, that's when at least only for the slightest moment it's easy to tell that she didn't understand, because she narrows her eyes or frowns in the slightest. Another part of this trait of hers, is how uncaring she can be. She rarely ever has a very strong opinion, and will push aside anything she doesn't care about. When criticized for this, Birdpaw would only say that she saves her 'caring' for things that actually matter. This can go hand in hand with her tolerance as far as the choices she makes. Being patient, and confrontational, because she also lacks caring about the matter at hand. Even if she is insulted and heavily instigated, Birdpaw will hold true to her tolerant and impassive nature.
Shy:
" I'm sorry if I say anything... awful. You mean a lot to me, but old habits die hard."
This part of Birdpaw is incredibly subtle and almost doesn't occur at all, seeing as she is so cold to most cats it's unlikely she'd even get to this point. And even if she did, she would resist admitting her shyness wildly. She only becomes shy when she gets to know someone and starts to care for them deeply. That might sound strange, but it makes sense for Birdpaw because she uses her sharpness and cruel attitude as a barrier, her protective wall, because she's afraid of being hurt. Being hurt such as putting trust in someone and then they betray her, which is something quite likely to happen because it's her own fatal flaw that she is far too trusting. Though her shyness only really comes into play in two kinds of situations: Becoming self-aware of her cruelty by second-nature around someone she cares about and doesn't want to chase away, or if her behavior makes someone cry. She cannot handle crying cats and would melt into a puddle of apologizing if someone were to start crying because of something hurtful she said or did. Whether or not she wishes she could be less unkind depends on which cat it is towards, but in both those instances she would far prefer to be a more kind and lovable cat. So sometimes she can get a little envious of cats where that comes so easy to them.
Solitary:
" I don't talk to cats much. Its not like I need to. "
Birdpaw is a cat who likes to keep to herself and be alone. She grew up in a lonely life-style, but it wasn't a sad one, because she had all kinds of adventures and discovered new things almost everyday. Because of those experiences, she doesn't see much of a reason to befriend anyone when she finds being by herself to be so much more rewarding. When she's all alone, she doesn't have to worry about anyone but herself, and she hates the feeling of having other cats depending on her or doing things for anyone else. On missions, patrols, and the like, she'll most often split apart from the other cats and go her own way. She'll still do what she was sent out for, most of the time, at least. She doesn't have much social experience, but that doesn't stop her from being loud, so she isn't timid in the slightest. She just usually tends to open mouth insert foot by saying whatever she likes, and what usually is not appropriate for the cat or the situation. This effects her in a very simple way, because she will just choose to be alone rather than in someone's company. It's not because it tires her out, like more introverted cats. Being with someone doesn't make her feel better or fill any void, because there is none, she's perfectly happy by herself.
Callous:
" So your parents died? Big deal. Do you know how many cats can pull that card? Who cares? "
One of Birdpaw's most major flaws is her blatant disregard for others. She is definitely lacking any sort of compassion, which is also another reason why she doesn't have many friends. Not everyone would want to associate with a cold-hearted cat like herself. If someone were to die, she could probably walk right over their body, even stepping on it, and wouldn't think there was anything wrong with that. It goes hand-in-hand with the mind-set that if someone died or lost in battle then they were the weaker one, and the weakest must die or fall behind to make way for the stronger. She is a strong believer in survival of the fittest, and personally thinks that anyone who believes otherwise is trying to sugar-coat the world. Birdpaw claims to have seen the world's darker colors, and they made her stronger. She truly does love the world, however, and all the nature to go along with it, she just has no sympathy for cats who can't pull their own weight. While this doesn't effect her actions or her decision making, it does have an impact on how she speaks to others and certainly how she views others. If she were to come across someone crying or in need, she wouldn't be of any help to them at all.
Selfish:
" I'm only here for selfish reasons. It's not like I want to help you. "
To say that Birdpaw doesn't care about anything would be incorrect, because she cares about herself, and that's pretty much it. The only time she'd ever care about anything else would be if it effected her, otherwise she'd ignore it. And not only caring about matters, but the only times she does things would be if it benefited her in some way. If she diligently did her work like she was supposed to, it would only be because she was thinking about herself and in what way it could benefit her. Her first response to any cat asking her for a favor would be to ask what she was getting in return, because she claims not to do things for others just out of the 'goodness of her heart', and if you don't have anything to give her chances are she won't help you. She is only selfish in the way stated, and isn't narcissistic nor vain. She does only think about herself, but that doesn't mean she thinks she's the greatest thing in the world. Despite that, it's still a fairly negative trait. While she doesn't prance around in vanity, there is more to selfishness effecting actions than that. Because, like previously stated, she'd far prefer to do something for herself than for someone else, and she isn't generous in the least, so she isn't one for giving gifts.
Cynical:
" Trust you? You've got to be kidding me."
The last part of Birdpaw's personality is also one of the clearest, and one that makes her a bit of a hypocrite. Birdpaw lacks trust towards any and all others, no matter who they are. Though, the majority of the time she will not be explicit with her feelings, and she rarely ever outright states that she doesn't trust someone, least of all to their face, because she doesn't go out of her way to be confrontational. The way she displays this is through subtle comments and actions. The comments would be bits and pieces of cynicism, such as saying that others are selfish by nature, and means that that's the reason she finds them untrustworthy, despite being quite selfish herself, and that's what makes her a bit of a hypocrite. Through her actions, she'd display how she doesn't trust someone by various ways. A few examples would be not wanting to help someone in trouble, like if they were hanging from a high place or drowning, because she'd be afraid of them pulling her down. She would also be finicky one on one with another, because of the lack of trust she feels. This tends not to affect her decision making, however, unless it is one of the previously stated examples. She has great self-control, and knows how to hide her cynicism, but as always, she can't hide everything and her actions will betray her. Strengths: (3
?) She is a excellent apprentice (warrior?), and displays a great talent in her duties. She seems to respect the world for what it is. She is someone who can get things done and is also a very tolerant cat Weaknesses: (3 ?) She is terrible at socializing, obviously. She tends to get a bit weak when someone she cares for displays fear or dislike towards her or a cat begins crying, and she is terrible at getting along or understanding another cat. Crush/Mate/Kits: Will develop/None/None Other Information: Her personality is subjected to change and develop throughout the rp, depending on what happens.

(Thank you. Who is her mentor?)
Birdpaw tumbled out of her nest and into the open, yawning sleepily as she stretched, digging her claws into the soil as she looked around sleepily. "What a noisy morning it is." She remarked/ She walked up to Poppystar calmly. "What is it that your up to?"

"I see." She replied calmly. "I'm surprised with this wind that it wasn't blown away in our sleep. Or that some furball decided to steal it."
