"Who are you calling pup? I'm years older then you." she spat and took a pawstep towards her, her face the the female's. "I suggest you pick your battles wisely next time, runt."

Nadie rose an eyebrow and chuckled in amusment. "Your a real fool. You do realize the one who picked this battle was you, right, elder?" She said with a fake smile. "And come a paw step closer to me and I'll slit your throat and watch you roll around unable to talk and begging for help. Go back home. You have nothing to do across this border, and as long as a Border guardian does exist you will have no business over here." She remarked with a straight face.

Infierno chuckled. "And I will be stopped by a pathetic, weak overgrown runt?" she challenged.

"It appears you've forgotten how Border guardians work. Or maybe your too stupid to know. Shall I put you in your place?"

The shadows behind Infierno whispered louder. "Go home, Guardian of Darkness. You have no place in that world. And watch the shadows well, I see all," they whispered to her.
Neama tensed her muscles as she watched from behind the bush. She didn't fight very well, but she didn't want the guardian to get hurt.
Hatred stared at a figure in shadows with his tail tucked between his legs.
Minra looked up from the vile. "The shadows of the Shadow Forest are speaking," she said quietly.

Alusia stiffened. "What does that mean?"
Nadie paused and listened to the shadows. "You heard them. You have no place over there. Go back to where you belong; before that is stolen from you."

"An ancient wolf lives in the shadow forest. The first border guardian, the first seer. It witnessed the beginning of the long war between Life and Darkness," Minra barked lowly as she stared into the forest.

"Does that mean their talking?" Alusia asked.

"Yes," the Guardian of Life replied.

"I see." Alusia replied quietly. "Hey, Minra? Why do I feel like nothing good will come from this?"
Nadie paused as she finally sensed the presence of another wolf, with a malevolent presence. Her fujr stiffened. They were dfiently dark wolves. "You, over there, hiding and watching." She coldly said, looking in the direction of Hatred. "I suppose you don't plan to call your little friend back?"

Infierno huffed. "You've won this time, but next time, your pelts will be my bedding." she spat and stalked off.

Hatred ran back to his den.
The figure turned its head toward the Guardian, its amber eyes dark, yet they seemed to glow in the dim light.
Minra nodded. "It means the Guardians of Darkness are making a move for the border," she said narrowing her blue eyes.

Nadie watched them scurry off without a word, turning to glance at the figure quietly. She dipped her head, then looked at the bush Neama. "Why have you not left yet?"
"Do you think the guardian will chase them off?" Alusia worriedly asked.

"Maybe," Minra whispered as the glowing faded slowly.
The shadowy wolf nodded and vanished.
Neama peeked through the branches. "I couldn't leave you alone. What if it was an ambush and there were more wolves?" She said trying to pull her fur free from a thorn.

Nadie examined her closely in silence. "What an odd person." She whispered under her breath. "Nonetheless, you shouldn't get involved in things you can't handle. I can do my job fine without you. And I would hate to be respoible for injuries caused." She coldly remarked.
Alusia fell silent
