Graystar walked out of his den, his long, dark blue-gray fur spiky from tossing and turning in his sleep, restless with the worry about what they would do if the river didn't calm down. It didn't help that his den was a little way away from the camp, and he had to worry about being attacked in his sleep, because nobody would be there to warn him, but this was the least of his problems. Sitting down in the middle of the camp, he felt annoyed that the wood beneath his body was warm to the point that it was hot to walk on. Oh, how he resented Squirrelstar for choosing this spot as a camp; in fact, Graystar fairly resented Squirrelstar for choosing him as the deputy over a more experienced cat. Maybe things could have gone differently, if Squirrelstar hadn't chosen him. Oh well, Graystar thought to himself, It's a moot point. He started to groom his fur to get rid of the spiky effect of it, wanting his fur to go back to being fluffy and smooth. ~~~~~~~
Fawncloud was laying in the sun, somewhere near the woods, her eyes gazing around the forest as she wondered what she should be doing right now, other than just relaxing. It seemed like nobody relaxed anymore; everyone was always so busy worrying about what would happen to the Clan. She didn't really see the point of worrying; it's not like they could control the ocean, and even if they could, she didn't think they'd want to. They liked the fact that the ocean made its own decisions, it wasn't weak like the forest, or the ground. Fawncloud shrugged to herself, she didn't quite mind the forest; it was quiet except for the birds singing, and she enjoyed the taste of the forest prey over the taste of the ocean prey. It was surprising, but true, she realized, the fact that she liked the taste of the forest prey.

Cedarheart sat, a slight glare on his face, as he looked over at Graystar. He was better suited to be the leader, he thought to himself, so why do I feel so envious and disdainful? He let the glare leave his eyes, as he tried to see things from Graystar's eyes, but he couldn't. He just couldn't see how a previous loner was fit to run a clan; his Clan. He wasn't sure whether it was jealousy or pride that made Cedarheart feel this way against Graystar, but something was wrong in his brain, and he just couldn't stop disliking Graystar. Perhaps it'd been their apprenticeship when Cedarheart's mentor always spoke bad things about Graystar, but Cedarheart doubted it. This hatred had started before he'd started listening to his mentor's complaints about Graystar, Graypaw at the time, and Cedarheart had a feeling it was the long line of OceanClan blood that made him feel this way. Whatever he was, he loathed having it.
Berryheart padded from the warriors den. "Good morning Graystar." she meowed and dipped her head to him. "How are you this morning?" she asked kindly. She looked over at Cedarheart and gave him a good morning smile before turning back to her leader and waited.
Graystar shrugged slightly. "I'm fine. Do you need something to do? I'm sure Lionface will be organizing patrols soon," he meowed. Most of the time, warriors didn't just randomly come up to talk to him. It wasn't that he minded though, it was just that his thoughts were fairly consumed by what he should do with the Clan, that his thoughts couldn't focus on making conversation. After all, it made sense to him that the Clan should just leave the forest altogether now that this had happened, because were they really OceanClan without the 'Ocean'?
The large golden tom had been up quite early that morning. The sun had not started to peak up over the horizon just yet; but moments had passed and now it was. His loving honey colored eyes watched over the dens of his clan mates, ready for them to wake. He would give the early patrols to the early riser, so long as not all of them slept in. Lionface's thoughts went towards Graystar, but thoughts like those quickly made cease. The morning breeze ruffled the deputy's medium-long hairs, he was clam for now, but soon enough his boisterous personality would flare back up.
Two large rounded eyes flicked open, colored with splashes of hazel, gray, and gold. Waking up in a bitter mood as alays, the large cat sat up in her nest and flattened her short hairs back down to her body. She scraped the moss off of her and made note it was about time to change the bedding on her nest. Larknose, the eldest cat in the entire clan, with wisdom even far beyond her own moons. Larknose made her way out of the warrior's den, curling back her lips at the scent of the forest that flooded in around her. She let out a soft displeased snarl before noting Lionface was already ready to give out patrols. The cat rasped, "At least there is hope for this clan after that non-cat clan passes away."
The orange cat bolted from the warrior's den, her yellow-green eyes wild and panicked. Finally, when the forest flooded her nose, she calmed herself and noted where she was at. Foxstep's eyes flashed with disappointment, there had gone her dream of being back with her clan at the Ocean's shore. Her heart felt like it broke, but she couldn't keep down for long. The she-cat smoothed her pelt down, sitting a little ways outside of the apprentice's den. She would take Lynxpaw battle training today, since that's what the cat had promised yesterday. The cat had spoken to her brother about it, and he told her she didn't have to go on patrol.
Two fluffy ears perked up as he heard a loud heavy steps outside, 'Foxstep', the tom groaned. The tabby tom managed to rise out of his nest, though it was reluctantly. He reared his hind leg up and scratched at the back of his ear. Shaking out his fur he walked out side, lashing his tail and sat down beside his grandmother. Duckpaw really didn't get the point to training, couldn't he get his warrior's name already? Also, why did they have to leave the Ocean? The cat hissed quietly, "It seems we will have to change our name to 'Forest'clan soon."
Stormdapple Parted his jaws in a yawn before standing up and leaving the den. "Graystar?" He called, still bleary with sleep. He blinked a few times before spotting graystar. He then made his way over to his crush.
omg that was horrible
hii im cooper ^_^ feel free to talk to me! i dont bite, although im not on here v often
you likely remember me as meow / sunpaw, if you knew me when i was active no you didnt /lh
Graystar looked up at Stormdapple, a smile lighting up his face as all thoughts about what was happening around them vanished. "Hey," he meowed, a small amount of relief in his tone; he was grateful that Stormdapple was there to cheer him up. You might even say he was grayteful, but cats can't make puns, so he didn't really think this. In any case, Graystar was grinning like an idiot at Stormdapple, surely looking at least slightly creepy. Though he didn't really notice, he was just thinking about Stormdapple. (cooper)
Stormdapple glanced at the tom in front of him and cringed a bit. "You might wanna get that smile checked out, dude." He jokingly said to the tom with a bi grin on his face and poked him with a claw.

Graystar blushed and immediately wiped the smile off of his face, leaving him with a neutral look in his eyes. He flicked his ears toward Lionface. "He's organizing patrols if you want to join one," he said, formally, blinking at Stormdapple, as he returned his gaze to the sky, as though he could see through the sky to his warrior ancestors, though he couldn't. He let out a soft sigh. (cooper)
Lionface watched as Stromdapple approach, his eyes completely unamused by the presence of the tom; slightly jealous of his encounter with Graystar. The deputy rumbled to the tom, "Stormdapple, I want you to lead a hunting patrol, take Crescentnose, Larknose and Cedarheart with you."
The golden cat's voice thundered as his energy began to surface. He noticed Foxstep out of the corner of his eye and he turned to the she-cat and rumbled on, "Foxstep, you and Berryheart are to train with your apprentices all day today; spend this day focusing on sharpening their skills." The orange she-cat dipped her head to her brother and went on her way. The cat paused and thought for a little while, asking Stormdapple kindly, "Would you ask Fawncloud to see if Nettlewisker needs any assistance gathering herbs today?"
Then the cat began thinking out loud, "Then I need to ask Nightshade and Crimsonfoot to stay and guard camp; then see if Graystay, Birchclaw, will go with me to do a border patrol and check how the Ocean is doing, to see if we can go back to our real camp anytime soon..." The tom forgot he was speaking his thoughts out loud, his face looked a bit troubled with that last added comment. He wanted to help Graystar lead their clan back home, that way his popularity would rise up a bit and he would be told what a great and noble leader he as in moons after he has passed away. (cooper) Foxstep made her way over to where Berryheart was located, calling out, "Berryheart! Lionface asked us to take our apprentices out training all day since we haven't gotten to in a while!" The cat bounced happily up the cream colored cat. "Since we are both going to be out with our apprentices all day, do you want to train them together?" The cat's tail quivered with happiness, Berryheart was nice to be around, she cheerful and caring she-cat made her feel the same way. She looked towards the apprentice's den, knowing they might have a bit of trouble with Duckpaw today, but Lynxpaw would be easy to get motivated. ((Could you please tell me which of my cats are needed for what? XD There was a lot of words there and by the time I was done, I had forgotten. I think Cedarheart for a hunting patrol, Graystar for a border patrol, and Fawncloud to go see Nettlewhisker, correct? genbear))
