Introduction: Many seasons ago, your ancestors developed a way of living, that was different than their own ancestors. They proposed that the warriors should have more control over who was leading them, and who was in charge of their daily lives. Unfortunately, at first this system was full of corruption, and soon, the system was destined to fail. However, the ancestors later figured out that in order to keep the voting free of corruption and sabotage, more than one cat had to watch over the voting and make sure no one cheated. It was decided that the leader, who was decidedly the cat that was least likely to cheat, and the medicine cat, who was supposedly the wisest, was to watch over the voting and make sure no one cheated.
Rules: Rule #1: Follow all of Falconstar's rules. This includes the rule about being underage (guests are allowed though). Rule #2: Literate rules do apply. There's a one paragraph minimum PER CHARACTER. Please try to use proper spelling and grammar. Rule #3: Do not ask Avis or me for a time-skip, we will decide when one is necessary. Rule #4: Your application for this roleplay must have some detail or thought put into it. A few sentences for appearance and personality is required, however, you may be accepted if you edit the post within a few days to update it to the few sentences quota. Rule #5: I didn't add this into the code of conduct, as it's just common sense, but mentor-apprentice relationships should be platonic only. Perhaps when the apprentice is a warrior, it would be alright, but not if there's a huge age difference, and especially not when they're still an apprentice. Rule #6: No Mary/Gary-Sues. No God-modding. No Meta-gaming. Rule #7: Put anything you want in the 'other' section if you read the rules and made it through them. :'D Rule #8: Traditional naming is required. We will not be accepting lyrical names unless you can provide an explanation on why you chose this. This explanation would have to be logical, and we'd have to agree with it. Rule #9: This should be obvious, but your character shouldn't blatantly disrespect or disobey the Clan leader. Remember, the Clan leader's word is law in Clans, and disobeying it would be breaking the warrior code! (Which is called the code of conduct. Strangely enough, this rule isn't in there, since it's a common sense rule.) Unless there's a story-reason for your character acting this way. Rule #10: There will be no discrimination, whatsoever, on any cats with a different sexuality, gender, or anything of the sort. If any of this happens, you will be removed from the roleplay, and will not be allowed back.
The warrior's Code of Conduct: Code #1: Every time a leader dies, a new deputy will be elected. The leader and the medicine cat will oversee the voting inside of the leader's den. In the case of a tie, cats will vote again, but only for the two that tied. The leader shall choose the three nominees for the others to vote for.
Code #2: You may make friends with cats from other Clans, but always be prepared to meet them in battle. Under no circumstance, should a cat have a romantic relationship with a cat from another Clan.
Code #3: You may not trespass or hunt on the territory of another Clan, unless protected by a truce, or granted permission.
Code #4: A kit must be six moons of age before becoming an apprentice. Alternatively, they must also be at least 14 moons of age before becoming a warrior.
Code #5: A gathering will be held every Full Moon under a truce. No cats are to fight while this truce is up.
Code #6: Defend and mark your boundaries and Clan even at the cost of your life, if it comes to that.
Code #7: No warrior may reject a kit in pain or in need, even if this kit is from another Clan. And no warrior is permitted to ever harm a kit or elder while in battle.
Code #8: Medicine cats may not have a mate or kits, because it may distract them from their duties. However, if the medicine cat has a successor or apprentice, they may have a mate and kits.
Leader: Patchstar. Female, she/her. Homosexual. 75 moons. 4/9 lives. Patch- for her patchy calico-and-white pelt; -star indicating her position as leader (-fang indicating her skill in hunting and fighting). A large calico cat with a hard look. Yellow eyes; pink nose and paw pads. Link to images. Patchstar is a cat of few words. This isn't to say that she doesn't speak; she'll talk with her rough voice when she deems it necessary, of course. But she isn't really one for small talk. If she doesn't see anything to be gained from a conversation, she probably won't engage in it in the first place. Understandably, her Clanmates view her as rather cold, but they admire her motivation and ability to stay serious and on-task. She's well-known for her skills - namely, hunting and fighting. Her movements are confident and no-nonsense, and this is her outlook on life as well. Despite her chilliness, however, she cares strongly for her Clanmates - she never would have ascended to the position of leader if she did not. She believes that all lives are valuable, and that all cats are equal. As a leader, she understands that it is her responsibility to care for her Clan the best she can. Protecting the Clan means protecting its cats, and she'd die to save any one of them. If she thinks she can help in any sort of situation, she'll try to offer up advice - it's gruff and usually awkward, but it's generally appreciated as well. The members of her Clan respect her, and she respects the members of her Clan. She leads briskly and with little hesitation, but she's also open to listening to advice from others, as a good leader should be. Patchstar was voted deputy when the previous deputy, Troutfoot, died. She served under gentle Ravenstar for many long moons, and when Ravenstar lost their last life, Patchstar became leader at the age of forty moons. Due to her bravery and occasional rashness, she is losing lives at a more rapid pace than many other leaders. Falcontail was the first deputy to serve under her, and young Silverfoot was voted into their place when they passed. Patchstar is a bit wary of Silverfoot, but she respects her and is of course willing to work with her - she's in line to become the next leader, after all, and Patchstar wants to teach her everything she can and hopefully learn some things from her deputy, as well. avis
Deputy: Silverfoot. Female, she/her. Bisexual/panromantic. 26 moons. Silver- is this cat's prefix due to her alluringly silver tabby pelt. -foot is a suitable suffix for this cat, as she could be described as she is incredibly swift and fast, more so than most of her other Clan-mates. Silverfoot has a strikingly silver tabby pelt that leans onto the blue-gray side. Essentially, she could probably be described as a pale, silvery blue-gray tabby she-cat due to the fact that her fur has an unnatural light blue hue. Silverfoot has white splotches scattered around her body, most obviously is one that takes up the right side of her face, and the tip of her left ear. Silverfoot wears a light purple scarf due to being captured by twolegs at a very young age. She never figured out how to remove the scarf, and it has become a symbol of who she is now, so she likely would never remove it. Silverfoot has only one scar on the back of her neck that splits the fur on her shoulders, and isn't even noticeable under her scarf. Silverfoot has bright blue eyes, which seem to be fitting with her pelt color. Silverfoot's fur is thin, but soft at the same time. She has a long, thin tail. Silverfoot is also incredibly lithe, pointing towards the fact that she has a parent in MoorClan, and a parent in MarshClan. Her lithe, thin build is likely the reason that she's swifter than the other cats in MarshClan. Silverfoot is a kind cat all around, however, sometimes her disdain towards half-Clan cats, and cats who break the Code of Conduct, can make her seem kind of rude and judgmental. Still, she always keeps her judgments and thoughts to herself, as she fears offending of upsetting anyone; even cats that she disagrees with. She would never turn anyone away for being half-Clan, however, she would turn away that cat's parents, as she doesn't believe that code-breakers should be allowed in MarshClan. She's a very proud cat, both for herself and for her Clan. Silverfoot can often be found grooming her pelt, sharing tongues with other cats, or organizing patrols. Overall, her greatest strength is her swiftness, as her build is quite strong, and she can't overwhelm others with her strength. She's best at hunting hares, rabbits, or other moorland prey, which is unfortunate as there's rarely anything of that kind in MarshClan. She can hunt fairly well though, at least enough to make her useful. The reason why she dislikes parents that produce kits from different clans, is due to her own half-Clan heritage. Silverkit was born in the MoorClan nursery, pressed up against Jayflower, her mother. Many cats in MoorClan didn't approve of her, as they knew that she wasn't a pure MoorClan cat. Silverkit had two siblings, Patchkit and Heatherkit, but they died when two moons of age, over an outbreak of an unidentified illness. Silverkit was lucky not to catch it as well. When Silverkit turned six moons old, Jayflower took her to MarshClan, however, twolegs captured Silverkit and her mother and took them to their nest. Silverkit was forced to wear a scarf, while her mother wore a collar. Her mother quickly began to like living with the twolegs, but Silverkit wanted to escape, so she did. When the twolegs were gone, she found a way out, and escaped back to the Clans. Realizing that she didn't have a future in MoorClan, she remembered that Jayflower was bringing her to MarshClan, so she settled down in MarshClan where they happily welcomed her. Patchclaw, her father, explained everything to them, and they accepted her. Silverpaw was trained by the deputy of the Clan; Falcontail. When she was made a warrior, she found herself quickly falling in love with Goldentail, an arrogant older warrior. He wasn't too old for her, however, he was too arrogant for his own good, as well as hot-headed, and he died after picking a fight with a MoorClan patrol. Silverfoot always wonders what could have been. beech
Medicine Cat: reserved !
Warriors: Shrikestep. Female, she/her. Pansexual. 31 moons. Shrike- for her coloration which resembles that of a shrike; -step for her many similarities with this bird. A thick-furred white cat with patches of gray. Green eyes; pink nose and paw pads. Link to image. Shrikestep is a very self-assured cat. Her stride is very nimble, but rather cocky, as well: with her head forward and her tail up, she's the picture of confidence. She's always keenly aware of what's going on around her, and she likes to take sentry duty; she's perfectly capable of sitting immovable in a tree for several hours, looking for anything amiss. Indeed, this is usually how she hunts: she finds a high vantage point to scope out her prey, which she kills quickly and mercifully with a sharp blow to the head. Playing with prey is something that she finds quite distasteful; she's quick to judge behaviors she considers foolish and childish. Shrikestep is rather territorial, and doesn't like to be too close to other cats, except for warmth. She plans all of her actions carefully. She may be vain, but she isn't rash. She's not afraid to share her thoughts, however, and she's prone to yammering on and building up ideas that are far more complex than necessary. avis
Maplefrost. Female, she/her. Bisexual. 20 moons. Maple: She was named for the reddish orange tints in her fur when she was born. Frost: She was born on a cold, frosty leafbare morning. Maplefrost isn't exactly fluffy, nor does she have short fur. Her fur is more in tufts, making her fur look a bit choppy. Her coat consists of brown, cream, and white with reddish orange tints. She has darker stripes that run along her spine and tail. All of her paws are a very dark brown color, even darker than that of her coat. Her eyes are penetrating and sport an odd shade of green. It's more a cross between green and gray, giving them a odd look. Maplefrost is a sweet and gentle cat. She enjoys socializing with her clan and making new friends. Although she is usually sweet with her clan, she is fierce in battle and for what she believes in. Maplefrost avoids making friends with other clans. After all, she may very well meet them in battle. And when that time comes, she will defend her clan before her friendship. Maplefrost always puts her clan first, and has a soft spot for kits. She enjoys being around them and tussling with them, when she has time, that is. Her soft side in usually more evident than her ferocious side. Maplefrost is fierce when it comes to battle. She quickly learns from other's mistakes, and uses it to her advantage. Maplefrost is very protective over her clan, and will stop at nothing to protect them with her life. She is also surprisingly kind and gentle though, and tries to handle disputes peacefully. Fights amongst clanmates usually makes her feel awkward, so she tries to avoid conflicts at all costs. Maplefrost grew up like any other clan kit. She was the only kit to survive out of her litter because of a harsh leafbare. Maplefrost grew up as the pride and joy of her parents. They encouraged her into apprenticeship, and eventually into a warrior. Not long after becoming a warrior, her mother caught greencough during an intense leaf bare. The catmint, tansy, and borage wasn't administered in time to save her. Her father is sort of broken now without his mate. He still hunts, patrols, attends everything every other member does. He's more like a hollow cat though. He has a body, but no soul. He spends most of his time alone, although he noticeable cheers up a bit when Maplefrost is around. ✞★SisiSocks★✞
Foxtail. Male, he/him. Pansexual, with a preference for males. 14 moons. Fox- for his coloration, resembling that of a fox; -tail for his agility and tree-climbing skills. A distinctive dark ginger tabby with white markings. Hazel eyes; pink nose and paw pads. Link to image. Foxtail is an agile cat, and tree-climbing is a favorite pastime of his. He's very calm, and he may come off as a bit distant. He likes to solve problems, and will often try to help others out in subtle ways. Foxtail is confident, and he may brag quietly about his achievements, but he doesn't insult others in doing so. Most cats consider him to be quite fearless. Despite his gentle demeanor and fondness for fixing things, he's quite oblivious - not so much to the world around him, but to the feelings and desires of other cats. He doesn't know what they want unless they are upfront about it. Foxtail is perhaps too trusting of others, and in turn he's a very honest cat. However, he can also be counted upon to keep secrets, as long as concealing them won't cause any harm. avis

✞★SisiSocks★✞ Thank you for applying! Your character looks very interesting. However, could you please edit your form to include the reasoning behind her suffix, -frost, as well? Or perhaps choose a different suffix if you can't think of a reason for -frost? There's no need to post again after you do that; just tag me in your form and I'll add you once that's been done!

Appearance: Cloudleaf is a almost pure white cat with pale grey paws. Their eyes are golden, with a blotch of copper dominating their left eye. They're a rather small cat but with unbelievably long fur.
Personality: One word to describe Cloudleaf would be brilliant: you could tell them something and they'd be able to retain it in their memory for a very long time. This is especially true with herbs and poultices. Cloudleaf can name most of them off the top of their head. They are usually a very calm and loose cat. However, under a stressful situation they can be very hard to work with since they try to do everything themself.
History: They grew up normally with both of their parents until around their 7th or so moon when Squirrelheart died. When they were about 13 or 14 moons old, they had started to question their gender(male->nonbinary).
