Morningleaf walked out of the Maggot's nest only to see Edgeclaw heading towards the den. "Edgeclaw! I was just about to look for you and....." she stopped talking for a moment, trying to find the right words to say to Redheart's brother. "I hate to be the bearing of bad news but your brother" she then glanced at Crimsonpaw. "and your father is dead"
Lionfang walked over to the small group of cats standing near the Maggot's nest, wondering if something happened while she was guarding the camp. "Hey Beowulf" she meowed to the gray warrior. "Do you know what's going on?"

Scarlet was sitting at the edge of the HorrorClan territory like she usually did. For some reason. She was at the Murderer's Swamp the most; the place where she killed her mate. Killing some other of those clan cats would also be nice. Maybe she could do that sometime in the future... and hopefully find one of them herself. Honestly, she didn't see why a clan full of murders would be angry at her killing a stupid useless cat like Darkshadow. The only thing that was nice about him was his looks. Otherwise, he was a complete coward. He should've been sent to the Maggot's Nest. But nope. And then they exile me. Which isn't FAIR.
"If you can collect the poppy seeds, ill look for a dry route." Mothpaw suggested since he did hear Harepaw wheeze a little which could be from struggling in the mud granted he figured both of them didn't want to go out swimming in mud again so finding at least somewhat dry way that didn't have them belly deep in mud seemed both logical and possibly not return to camp looking like mud creatures now that would be both embarrassing and even horrorifying if Mormingleaf found out, he knew she wouldn't let that go at all.

Harepaw nodded, agreeing completely, He studied the poppy closely, so he would start grabbing something which had not even had started growing seeds- it looks half way between adolescent and adulthood- not that he knows how flowers grow completely but it was just his apprentice instincts, he nudged it carefully and noticed a few poppyseeds fell out

Scarlet wondered what would've happened if she had followed the regular ways. But of course, I wanted to kill him instead of her. So it wouldn't work out entirely. Killing her would've just been a bonus. Of course Scarlet hated her. But it was Darkshadow that had betrayed her. So everything went how it was supposed to. Except it didn't.

((the three apprentices and mentors are at Trainer's Hollow, a location I had planned but forgot to add in the info page XD I'll do that right now, it's next to The Maggot's Nest too for a reason
Edgeclaw
He opened his mouth to speak, but closed it. He had expected it, Redheart was old and worn out, and he owed him everything. His own older brother, whom had taken the blame from Edgeclaw for the murderous crime he committed and paid the price. He helped Edgepaw escape their former clan, but memories of their previous home never left. The friends he had made there, the family he created, and the leader whom he had admired greatly.
Crimsonpaw
His eyes widened in shock. He expected his father to live a while longer, but now of all times he had to pass away. He dipped his head a little, showing a blank, emotionless face. Deep down though, he was still his father. He wished maybe he could've asked him more about his mother before he died, but it was too late now.
Beowulf
He glanced over at Lionfang and turned his head. "Well, turns out Redheart is dead...." He replied, his eyes watering a little. He had connected with the old tom for a strong while when the tom, his mate, and his little brother had arrived in Horrorclan. He learned all about their previous life, sometimes wishing he could see what their clan was like.

((i apologize deeply for this double-post (do not do it either it's very aggravating sometimes XD) but I have updated some information here:
CLAN RULES(PLEASE READ THROUGHLY): -Horrorclan is also known as 'The Clan with a Bad Reputation'. This means all cats have some dark secret in their life or have done something dreadful in the past or present (or maybe near future). -DO NOT EXPECT MORALS TO CHANGE IN HORRORCLAN. It is a clan of strict tradition and will not change the way they operate. This means that The Maggot's Nest will not disappear or be dropped. The weak will still be sent there and the strong will move on to become warriors. -All are under complete authority under the leader because they are deemed the strongest and most feared. It is a crime to attempt murder on the leader, and the punishment will be death and executed by the deputy. -The medicine cat is allowed to have mates. Remember, this is a clan of wickedness. Sibling love isn't uncommon (though it's a horrible thing so if you prefer not to do such then don't, it's alright I'm not encouraging it either) -Love rivalries are traditionally solved with a fight to the death. -The deputy is feared just as much as the leader is, so special privileges are given to them, like deciding if someone is worthy of sparing (with leader's confirmation). -Murder is 100% okay in Horrorclan, but it cannot be against a fellow clan member. Those who live in The Maggot's Nest are acceptable to be killed, but the perpetrator must give a good reason for doing so or have permission by the leader. -Traitors are to be killed on sight if they escape or are discovered, this is not limited to the weak, prisoners, or elderly. Even clan members can be deemed traitors or spies and killed if there is enough evidence to prove it. -The weak are deemed useless if they show weakness as kits, apprentices, or young adolescents. After that their training is stopped immediately(or they don't get it at all) and transported to The Maggot's Nest. However, they still have the privileges of an apprentice, but they cannot train any further. -Thise in The Maggot's Nest can be used as 'test subjects' for training apprentices. Death bites and attacks are acceptable to demonstrate on the weak and prisoners only. Elders are allowed to live without this rule. -Bleeding Rock is where cats who have been disloyal, traitors, betrayals, or other offenses are executed. They are to stand on top of the rock and drop into the jagged rocks below. This is the reason why there are skulls and bones in between the jagged rocks. -After the burial of a warrior or clanmates, a day's vigil for the deceased will take place. None are to talk or show emotion at all. Violation of this vigil will result in severe punishment for disrespect of the deceased. Punishments include cleaning out The Maggot's Nest, earning a deep scar, wound, or crippling from the leader or deputy, and in extreme rare cases, execution. -It is considered forbidden to attend the Gatherings at Crystalline. Punishment is crippling them(blinding, breaking limbs, etc...). (if you have any questions on clan rules, PM me and I'll clarify or add a rule here)
TERRITORY:
Horrorclan is located in the swamp, a thousand miles away from a clan called Tombclan. Many who have turned their backs on their ancient ancestors and clan are usually found traveling on Horrorclan territory. If you're strong and can hold up, you will be deemed strong enough to join them. If not, you are kept in the Maggot's Nest where the weak, the elderly, prisoners, and the crippled go. The camp is located in the murkiest part of the swamp, the heart of the marshy land. It is extremely damp and hardly has any safe plants and water to eat or drink.
Camp Leader's den- An mossy hollow in a tree that is five feet away from ground level. The leader is required to climb the tree to get into the den. This is also how they define leaders, in apprentice training they learn to climb. If you can't and you're a warrior, then you can kiss your dream of becoming a leader or deputy goodbye. Deputy's den- A fallen tree over boulders and other rotted trees. The smell of fresh soil lingers here. Medicine cat's den- A small burrow underground that's VERY sturdy and unlikely to collapse. It is perfect for storing herbs because of the moist flooring. Warrior's den- a small cave carved into a rock from erosion. The apprentice den is next to it. Apprentice den- Same as the Warrior's den. Nursery- A tree hollow inside a huge oak. The Maggot's Nest- An wrecked up hanging rock that just barely protects those residing in it. It is very close to the deputy and warrior's dens to make sure no prisoners escape, not that they will try to escape. There are many dangerous things outside camp anyway. Trainer's Hollow- A large, flat terrain and/or clearing used for training apprentices and medicine cat apprentices. It is located next to The Maggot's Nest for a reason, being that the weak and prisoners can be used to demonstrate battle techniques and such. Corpse Pile- Or simply known as the fresh-kill pile. This is where prey and dead cats from murder are piled. It is located to the left of The Maggot's Nest on purpose. Bleeding Rock- A tall rock with small jagged rocks beneath it. It is covered in blood from executions of other cats. It is also where the leader calls for a ceremony or an announcement. Ashstar's Graveyard- Named after Fallenstar's father and Bloodstar's grandfather, Ashstar, it is where the deceased of worthy warriors or clanmates are buried. A day's vigil for the deceased takes place after burial. None are to talk or show emotion at all. Violation of this vigil will result in severe punishment for disrespect of the deceased.
Outside Camp Twoleg Place- A long, long, long way away from the swamp. Don't even go there, you won't make it. Clear Lake- The only cleanest water source in the entire swamp. It is left untouched by pollution or mud and is the best place to hunt for fish. It is a great place to take a bath too. Murderer's Swamp- A large body of water that was made filthy by cats washing blood off their fur. It is a tradition after a battle with another clan or with rouges/loners to wash specifically in this murky lake. It smells horrible and very distinctly of iron and mud. The Ledge- A very high cliff with pointed rocks and dangerous drops. It is at the west end of the swamp. It is absolutely not a place for kits. The Mountains- A large, mountainous area behind the Twoleg Place that always snows. Crystalline- The place of gathering for clans and other cats(Other clan cats will be npcs by me). Horrorclan does not attend these gathering at all. It is forbidden. Bloody Hollow- A place deep within the marsh swamp and the dirtiest of places (not like cleanliness dirty, but bloodshed dirty) where medicine cats used to talk to their starry ancestors and where leader's earned their nine lives. Now that tradition is abandoned and the leader earns their nine lives from the cats of the Darkest Times, which is a group of ancestors who have turned down the dark roads and have done wicked or evil things. Maurader's Grove- A small farm and grassy field around the same distance as the Twoleg Place. It is where a single cat named Crookedoak lives with his companion Applesauce. It is the best place to catch squirrels and hares/rabbits, but it is impossible to travel there alone.
Hey, I returned after quite a few years If anyone remembers me, and wants to talk, send me a message on Discord Mytze 👁👄👁#9263 I don't know why the eyes are different but they are

Edgeclaw

((anyway, now i'm going to wait for someone to find crookedoak. he traveled pretty far from his farm to find food that has gone scarce where he lives.
Crookedoak
He swiftly ran through the swamp, his ears alert and his nose on the search for prey. He stopped to a small trot, finally catching scent of something nearby. He knew where he was of course, loners who took shelter in his twoleg's barn called it the Clear Lake. He loved the scenery, as it looked very celestial.
"Found a drier path!" Mothpaw mewed once padding back to the other apprentice which the ground was a little slippery because of course it's mud but they wouldn't have to swim in the wet earth like before which he was use to the swamp since he lived him his life but sometimes wondered what living in a more dry area that had more sweeter smells like Clear Lake that looked like it came from the moon itself.
Brookfur kelt silent as she had known the elder and his mate when they had joined along with a young Edgeclaw which she saw Crismonpaw and Rosescatrch but no sign of their other brother Mothpaw, "We should go get Mothpaw." She mewed quietly since she guessed that Moringleaf had sent her two apprentices out for herbs with her not seeing the tom Harepaw either.

"THank.... whatever cats above." He himself born from the clan, had not yet heard of cats above or ancestors or anything t do with starclan/darkforest, but he had often heard the cats go into the sky when they die, in which those who spoke had never spoken since. Hazepaw picked up the poppy- carrying the poppyseeds with it. "Lets find that... feverfew..? Then." He replied through his teeth.

Crookedoak
He froze, realizing he wasn't alone at Clear Lake. He spotted just a good length away two toms that were searching...for something. He quickly hid in the thick, marshy plants. He watched them with eager eyes, waiting to see what they would do next.
Edgeclaw
He dipped his head in grief. "Yes. Let's go find him." he said, hoping his nephew wasn't too far away from camp. Many landmarks close to Horrorclan territory weren't too far from the camp, and if they had gone further than the borders they would be punished when they returned. "Let's go quickly before he gets himself into any trouble." he looked at the entrance to the camp.
Crimsonpaw
He sat down, deciding that it was best if he stayed with his sister Rosescratch. He wondered what she was thinking, since she was the closest to their parents then he ever was, and this made him a little awkward around her.

-- (The Angry Unicorn, Lily~Myth, Scarlet's at the Murderer's Swamp. Want her to travel over or are you just gonna make the apprentices go...)
Scarlet scowled and then turned away. She didn't want to think about her old mate anymore. Not the bad times, or even the good times. Especially the good times. Just thinking of that made her sick. Then why am I even here? A little part of her knew a little bit of the answer. Because I'm still a HorrorClan cat. And some part of me is still loyal to them.

((Ƭнє Ɗяєαмєя ✧ smudgepaw is going to his daily trip to the clear lake, he and tallwind could find scarlet if she travels from the murderer's swamp to clear lake. also forgot to mention that crookedoak and the two medicine apprentices are there too
Smudgepaw
He bounded happily over to Tallwind, standing in front of him without a care. "I wanna go see Clear Lake today!" he piped up, his tail swishing from side to side.
Tallwind
He smiled down at the former apprentice. "Of course we can. I'll be your escort today I suppose, since there seems to be a death in the clan. I will allow them time and space to mourn, in the meantime we'll be at Clear Lake." he replied with a dip of his head, licking the top of his head.
