"I have lived my life as best I could, not knowing its purpose, but drawn forward like a moth to a distant moon; and here at last, I discover a strange truth. That I am only a conduit, for a message that eludes my understanding." ―Ezio Auditore da Firenze on his role as "the Prophet", 1512.
Silentpaw shook her head and padded to him. She tapped him on his foreleg and pointed to the river, trying to tell him to show her first. She wasn't in the mood for talking right now. (✞~Spottedleaf ~✞)

When Silentpaw stepped back, Russetstripe got the message. Silentpaw wanted him to demonstrate first. "Alright, watch closely," he told her. Then, he quietly padded toward the river and stopped at the edge. He listened to the thunderous waterfall as he waited patiently for a fish to swim by.
Soon enough, a dark shadow appeared underwater. It wasn't very big, but that was ok. Fish was fish, and at the end of the day it would feed the clan. Russetstripe sat still as he waited for a few more short moments, for sudden movements would startle the fish and cause it to swim away. Then, there was no more hesitation. Quickly, Russetstripe reached into the river's cool water and hooked his claws onto the fish.
As quickly as he reached in, he yanked it out of the water and dropped it on the riverbank. While it was still on the riverbank, it was far enough away to where it couldn't easily flop back into the water. Russetstripe swiped his claws down the fish's body, causing it to fall limp almost instantly. (Ezio Auditore da Firenze)

Silentpaw watched as Russetstripe demonstrated how to fish. She crept to the river and sat down on the shore, making sure her shadow couldn't be seen from the river. She waited patiently until a bigger shadow appeared. This might not be an easy kill. she thought as the she-cat waited a few more moments. As soon as the fish was right by the shore and under her, Silentpaw reached in the water, hooking the fish out. When it was out of the water, Silentpaw used her other paw's claws to finish it off before putting it down beside her. She looked at Russetstripe. (✞~Spottedleaf ~✞)

Russetstripe observed and watched as Silentpaw tried what he had just demonstrated. He noticed how she made sure to hide her shadow, and how she waited so patiently beside the river. Before he knew it, Silentpaw had repeated the final move he had shown her. Now, there were two dead fishes sitting on the riverbank, side by side. "Nicely done, Silentpaw. I think you are a natural," he praised his apprentice. He was genuinely proud, and he hoped Silentpaw could see that. (Ezio Auditore da Firenze)

Silentpaw slowly blinked to her mentor before her left ear trembled - she could hear something there. She turned her head towards the sound - something crashing through the undergrowth. It didn't sound like it was too far away. Silentpaw curiously sniffed the air, but she could only pick up her own, Russetstripe's and the fish' scent.

Username: ferretstripes Name: Coraldawn Rank: Queen Age: 37 moons (around three years) Description: Long-furred sleek pale gray she-cat with bright blue eyes and white paws. Personality: Coraldawn is very kind and overprotective of her kits, and even once threatened to drown another cat who offered to give Needlekit battle training. Skills and Flaws: She barely knows how to fight, and chooses flight in a fight or flight situation. She won't survive in an actual battle if it came to it, but Coraldawn seems to be very good at staying silent and hunting efficiently, and seems to be good at hunting as well, especially birds mid-flight or squirrels mid-tree. Mate or Crush (please specify): Kits: Family: Had a mate named Tigertuft who was slain by a badger long ago, and has two kits, one of them being Needlekit. Password: waternight Other: Is rumored to know something about Tigertuft's badger incident that nobody else knows.
[/b]Username: ferretstripes [/b] Name: Needlekit Rank: Kit Age: 2 Moons old Description: White, medium spiky-furred she cat with pale red eyes. (not an albino though), and unusually sharp teeth. When she's older she'll be missing a front right claw and her left canine tooth. Personality: Needlekit is a kind and energetic she-kit, always out and about and talking to older cats. She constantly tries to sneak into the medicine cat den to 'look at all the pretty berries' and tries the Leaders den sometimes as well. Needlekit likes play-fighting with the other kits, and when she's older (apprentice-warrior age) Needlekit is still kind and energetic, but in battle tends to become very aggressive, and if you're on her bad side she's sarcastic and rude. Skills and Flaws: (When she's older) Needlekit is very skilled in battle, and tends to train quite a lot. When she's fighting she tends to turn very aggressive and seems to be resilient, getting up blow after blow after blow. Needlekit isn't very good at hunting or stalking around without anyone or thing noticing, due to her white pelt in a normally green forest. She's gotten in trouble various times for doing things like sharpening her claws on tree stumps instead of hunting for mice, etc. Mate or Crush (please specify): None yet. Kits: None Family: Has only one littermate, and her mother is Coraldawn. Password: Waternight Other: None

Russetstripe heard the crash as well. What in the name of StarClan was that? he wondered. Whatever it was, it couldn't be good. He wasn't really sure what to do, but he knew better than to just stand there. "We should find Spottedstar," he said to Silentpaw, trying to hide any anxious tones from his voice. He wanted to remain calm for his apprentice, but he wasn't as calm on the inside. Russetstripe picked up both the fish they caught. "Let's go," he meowed the best he could with the fish in his mouth. Silentpaw nodded. She sniffed the air again, this time being able to pick up her mother's scent. She waved with her tail in the direction the scent seemed to be going. (✞~Spottedleaf ~✞)Btw, it's a badger crossing the Willow Forest, but it won't cross the river to get the cats.)

(Oh. I think I was exaggerating the noise then. I thought it was a much louder crash. Oh well)
Russetstripe scented the air in the direction Silentpaw pointed her tail in. He wasn't new to the scent, so he recognized it pretty quickly. "It's a badger," he observed. (Ezio Auditore da Firenze)

Silentpaw's ears flattened to her head. A badger will not get past us to the camp! she thought in her head and padded closer to the river. Since her shadow wasn't on the water, Silentpaw could see a fish. She quickly fished it out and killed it. She put it down by her mentor just as a snout broke through the bushes. Silentpaw's fur bristled, and she unsheathed her claws.

Russetstripe knew better than to attack a badger. At least not without more help. He still felt that the best thing to do was to find Spottedstar. He looked at Silentpaw and shook his head, telling her not to attack. He flicked his tail and started heading to where Spottedstar went. (Ezio Auditore da Firenze)

Silentpaw looked over where the badger's snout had appeared. She picked up the fish she had just caught and stood in Russetstripe's way - there was no way they were leaving behind a fish.

Russetstripe continued to walk toward where Spottedstar went. He walked quietly without saying anything, for he did not want to alert the badger or cause it to charge. He hoped that his leader would sense him coming.
