Er... Hello? I know I haven't been on the forums too much lately, but... Well, I've been hanging around for some time already, and... Would you accept late-arrival participants?
Username (not screenname): Crimsonbird75 Character’s Name:Alice Krayne Appearance: (at least one full sentence): Alice is a 19-years-old girl, of average size and slim body build. Her straight, dark brown hair falls about to the middle of her back, and she almost always has a rebellious strand of hair covering one of her vivid green eyes. She normally dresses casually, dark blue or black jeans, light-colored shirts, jeans jacket; though, lately, she's been dressing in all black (with touches of white) gothic-styled clothes, which makes her look a bit like a classy vampire, 'cause well, it's Halloween! Personality (full sentences): Her personality is pretty hard to describe, as she's a known mood-swinger. She rarely ever gets grumpy or angsty, though she can switch from being a goofy prankster to an overly serious snarker without a warning. Upon getting to know her one could wonder if she has a personality disorder or something, though it isn't the case. She doesn't really seem to have much empathy, often seen goofing around at the most inappropriate moments and pulling pranks that only her find funny, and suddenly becoming comically serious when someone else attempts to crack a joke; though, she sometimes does empathize with the most unexpected people. She isn't a supernatural fanatic, she just likes to scare herself (and also has a habit of never turning down a challenge, no matter her current phase), and thus is very into horror movies and haunted houses. Monster Species (only fill out if your character is a monster):Nah, she's human. Password:Enter If You Dare Other:Jake's younger sister. He often nicknames her "the Gremlin" after her mood-swings and tricky attitude.
Username (not screenname):Crimsonbird75 Character’s Name:Jake Krayne Appearance: (at least one full sentence):A 22-years-old young man, with a slightly above-average height and lithe build. His hair is the same dark brown color as his sister's, and has the same tendency to have some rebellious strands stick out, to his great despair. He has light blue eyes, and always wears somewhat rectangular glasses; he can't see much without them. He almost always wears blue jeans with either a shirt buttoned up to his collar, or a t-shirt of various colors (here, he'll be wearing a shirt). Personality (full sentences): Jake is indeed very much like his sister, minus the goofy side. So indeed, totally unlike his sister. He's a pretty insecure and self-concious young man, though not a very daring one either, which doesn't help him in building relationships with people around his age. As a biology student with a straight-forward scientific reasoning, he's very down-to-earth, sometimes even borderlines nihilism, believing everything about humans and nature has a biological explanation. For the same reason, he's nothing but heavily skeptic about the supernatural (Alice, for the last time, shapeshifting is biologically impossible!), and he doesn't understand the point of scaring oneself. Actually, if he's into horror movies and haunted houses, it's only because his sister bugs him to. Monster Species (only fill out if your character is a monster):He's a totally ordinary human boy. Password:Enter If You Dare Other:Alice's older brother.
Username (not screenname):Crimsonbird75 Character’s Name:Alessa Appearance: (at least one full sentence):Human form: Alessa is a pretty skinny, pale-skinned young girl (she looks twenty years old, though is a few years older, as she stopped aging when she became a monster); she's taller than average. She has very dark, black-looking, slightly wavy hair that fall down to her shoulders, and dark blue eyes. She generally wears dark pants, with white or brightly colored shirts, and a black leather jacket over it. Her eyes turning pitch black, her teeth and nails growing into fangs and claws, her hair turning pale gray, and her skin sticking closer to her bones, giving her a skeletal look, are signs that she's on the edge of transforming; if you're anything other than a wendigo, better run away right now. Monster form: Her monster form looks kinda like an undead werewolf; it generally walks on all fours, though it also can stand on its back legs. The huge creature towers over about 8 feet when it stands on its back legs. It looks extremely skeletal, with bones sticking out under its skin, most notably its spine, ribcage and joints. It has frighteningly long limbs, each one of its hands has five long, clawed figers; its long tail is tipped with a plume of fur. Its head looks like a wolf's skull, though still covered in skin, with pointy ears, antlers, pitch-black eyes and a large mouth full of jagged fangs. Its pale gray fur is extremely short, except around its neck and chest, where it forms a thick mane. Personality (full sentences): Alessa is a broken person; her urge to kill and devour every living being she sees has pushed her to stay away from the others as much as possible; she indeed grew attached to the other monsters, and still feels somewhat human, and thus is deathly afraid that she might lose control and kill one of them. She spends lots of time outside, or locked inside her room, though, whenever she manages to feel somewhat full, she tries to spend all the time she can with the others; actually, she wishes hard she could spend all her October nights stalking humans and scaring them straight along with the other monsters, having fun just like them. In these moments, while still introverted, she has that mischievious, and actually "adorkable" side to her, and shows to be really kind to the people around her. Monster Species (only fill out if your character is a monster):Wendigo; wendigoes are humans who were cursed into becoming a sort of carnivorous were-beast; they are constantly tortured by a ravenous, insatiable hunger; whatever they eat, it comes back a short amount of time later, only worse than before. In her case, only humans are actually filling, everything else makes her hunger worse. She can voluntarily shapeshift into her animal form, though, if her hunger gets too bad, she might spontaneously transform, losing all control of herself. (Okay, I have added/ changed a few things from the original legend; practically every person you ask will give you a different version of it so...) Password:Enter If You Dare Other:She became a wendigo just a few years ago; she tends to tell a different story whenever someone asks her how she became a monster. Depending on the person you ask, either she got enrolled in a cult which tricked her into eating human flesh, got bitten by a wendigo, got possessed by an evil spirit during a trek in the woods, unintentionnally got on some kind of a shaman's bad side, or whatever else she came up with.
(Quick question if I get to join, what time is it supposed to be right now InRP? I mean, don't wanna start off as if it was the middle of the night if it's only 8 or 9 P.M., or the other way around)

Broken still in her invisible form quickly started flashing the lights -if they dont pay attention to detail they'd think the powers going out- she thought her paws working quickly on the lightswitch.

(Yay! Thanks, Spotted! I guess I can start right now?)
~Alice Krayne & Jake Krayne~ (At their home)
Alice quickly packed up some stuff for the night. A jacket, her phone, some snacks, a flashlight or two; she didn't need a lot of stuff, that was only for one night, after all. While rummaging in some drawers in the kitchen, she noticed a nice kitchen knife sitting in the middle of various ustensils. *Is it silver? It doesn't look like it, though. Er... Why would I need this anyway? People say that this one hanted house is full of real monsters, but... I hope they won't be aggressive, if they're even real. But... Oh well. I'll take it anyway. Hopefully the parents won't notice I took this thing. Hopefully they won't notice we're gone at all.* She picked the knife up and quickly stuffed it in her bag. She climbed upstairs, and went to check if her brother was ready. She knocked at his door a few times, and opened the door right away. -Ugh, Alice, I know this is the way your brain is wired up and all, but won't you ever wait for permission before entering? The teenage girl chuckled at her brother's remark. -You say this as if you had anything to hide. There, are you ready to go or not? -I guess I am. But... Do you really think it's a good idea to go there? You didn't even tell our parents, didn't you? -Of course I didn't! Why did you think we went there while they're gone? You know as well as me what they think about all that kind of stuff. -Not without a reason, though. What's the point of going to a place with the only goal to scare yourself? -You really don't want to go, do you? Come on, I promise you it's gonna be fun! While saying this, she grabbed her brother's hand and pulled him towards their house's door.
~A few moments later~
Jake stepped carefully through the forest. The sun had already disappeared, leaving the woods dark and gloomy, the wind blowing in between the trees, letting out ghostly howls. *Dang it, I really don't get why Alice likes that kind of things so much. I don't understand her adrenaline-seeking mania. Well, there aren't many things I understand about her, actually.* His sister was walking before him, in a cheerful, bouncy fashion that was in stark contrast with her gothic vampire-like outfit (*Again, why did she feel like she had to dress like this? It's ridiculous.*), as well as the setting. It didn't last long until they got to see the sinister mansion. Jake's sister immediately stopped by, obviously over-excited, before launching herself towards the mansion, the young man following her at a slower pace. -Ready or not, here we come!
~Alessa~ (Outside the haunted house)
The young woman walked slowly back to the mansion, wiping a bit of blood off her face. Even though she knew it ultimately made the whole thing worse, she didn't like to feed on anything else than animals. Even though she knew she no longer was human, she still couldn't bring herself to kill any of them, not speaking about the monsters; they were the only friends she had left. At least she'd hopefully have a hour or two before she feels the hunger again, and a few more before she has to isolate herself completely. She didn't want to hurt anyone... As she got closer to the mansion, she heard some voices she didn't know coming from there. There were human visitors, tonight. *Looks like the scare-night season has already begun... Is it Lorelei's voice that I hear ? Better enter somewhere else, if I get in the way between her and her source of food, she's gonna be mad at me again... I hate it when she's mad...* She turned back and went around the house, to one of the side walls. She pulled a ladder she'd left here for that kind of occurrence and leaned it against the wall ; it wasn't high enough to reach to the third-floor windows, but she could as well climb up the little distance left. She stared up at two windows. *Which one was my room's window again ? The left one or the right one ? … … I think it was the right one.* She pulled the ladder under said window, and began climbing up. Thankfully it wasn't locked, and thus all she had to do was open the leaves and lift herself up and inside the room, in a pretty sloppy and inelegant way indeed ; she really had lost the habit to do so. Quickly getting back up on her feet, and wiping some dust off of her jacket she turned back... To find herself face to face with Luke. She bounced backwards, quite startled. The death-pale warlock, staring at her with his shiny amber eyes wasn't the most reassuring sight she could've stumbled upon, especially in such dim lighting. -Whoa-argh ! Luke ! Wha-what are you doing here ?! She paused for a few seconds, a bit confused. -Wait... This isn't my room, right ? Er... Sorry for interrupting whatever you were doing. I just wanted to avoid stumbling upon that group of humans and ruining Lorelei's plans. You know how she is when you get in the way to her food... She stepped across the room, and towards the door. Poking her head outside, she scanned the hallway. Nobody was there. She could see the faint light coming from the first floor beginning to flash. (*Things are gonna get interesting soon...*) Well, Alessa didn't really know what she was hoping for. She turned back towards the warlock. -Everyone else seems to be downstairs with the humans... Why aren't you with them ? Aren't you bored or something, all alone up here?
(Alissa seems to know the place and some of the monsters, so does she know everything about it and do all the monsters know about her? Crimsonbird )
Lorelei definitely felt some suspenseful eyes here and there so she put her hand down and desperately rested her hands on Quinn’s shoulder for some type of relief from hunger, it wasn’t much because she was the one who came in touch with the victim not the other way around. She hoped no one would notice her slight fatigue, but what made her look even more suspicious is the fact she was unfazed by the blinking lights. However she felt like it was time to take action. She rubbed her arms saying, “The autumn fall is really chilly here, let’s block the wind.” She walked towards the door, closed it shut and locked it with a couple keys and a padlock password. Even though she enjoys singing, she hasn’t gotten used to being human so she was relieved to change back. She stopped humming and it took a couple seconds before her skin turned back into aqua blue green scales, her hair from black to blue, and she basically changed to a whole different look. She cupped her mouth and silently yelled as loud as she could to alert all monster, “Let’s get started!!” She ran to the main lighting switch, thanked Broken before breaking it off the wall with her claws turning everything to darkness then swiftly and silently running upup the stairs to watch with her cat slit eyes that gave her good night vision.
"What the-" Emily backed into a wall with a small jump and made a little noise. she reached into her backpack and tried to find the flashlight that was tucked away there. "Oh, C'mon! Don't be lost now..." Emily pleaded to herself as she dug around in the bag. "There it is!" Emily cheered, getting the flashlight on with trembling hands. She let out a sigh as the light flickered on. she looked around with the flashlight and her eyes widened at the glimpse she caught of Lorelei. "What in the world is that!?" Oak's voice was little high pitched at the time.
Sera ~ Banshee ~ Haunted House
Sera let out a moan whilst the light was off. She flew out from under the tablecloth and continued to make noises such as wails, moans, and a few cries and screeches. "Is everyone alright..?" the banshees dreary voice came from behind the table.
Lorelei looked down at the girl who seemed to be surprised with her looks, “Aw don’t say you forgot me already.” She sung the same song that Emily complimented her on for a moment, “It’s me, Lorelei.” She gave her a wide grin showing off her white shark teeth. Scaring people wasn’t her thing but she guessed it was kind of fun. DarkFoot
As the Girl stopped singing Quinn snapped out of her trance, shaking her head as her thoughts cleared up. "Oh its on now." Her flashlight was added into the mix of personal light from the on person inventory. Her first check had to be on Lorelei as she lurer them all further in. A gasp left her lips, not expecting the transformation. When you hear haubted the first thought is ghosts and demons, not some fish-looking woman.... Wait, the aquatic appearance and falling into a trance. The realization the Lorelei must be a siren hit her with a blush. Well that's embarrassing.... Quinn thought, but not bringing it up aloud. Rather, her big mouth had to make a comment towards the usual situation. "Surprised there wasn't a smell to gice you away. You can seriously go without water?" That was probably dumb to do, but she had comfort in that she brought items for a homemade flamethrower if need be. That would probably work well against a literal fish-lady.
There was no holding back now for Hunter's voice, especially since he was complaining. "Ah straight for the dark? Too easy, doesn't let them see my face." In a flash, he appeared in front of Emily's flashlight to steal the attention away from Lorelei. His presence radiatwd heat, as if he worked like a fire.
Lorelei had a little annoyed pouted face when Hunter stood in front of her to take the spotlight, it was even more humiliating because he was much bigger than her so her entire body “disappeared” behind him. “Excuse me, Mr. Grill but I feel like I’m getting cooked into smoked salmon.” She slightly pushed him so she could be in front of him so they could both be seen. “Anyway sweetie it’s not 1500 BC we have perfume and deodorant.” She chuckled before saying, “And no I need water, everyone needs water or else we die from thirst. Duhhh. I’m just not as needy as other sirens.” She smiled she wasn’t trying to come off as rude, but more as in “informational.” At least they get to learn. She actually found it amusing to talk to kids rather than scare them half to death just by looking at them.
Keri drew Lorelei’s fishy form too. She was so ecstatic that her smile never left her face. In her mind she was like, I knew it! I knew she was a siren! She looked up to se a dramatic man in front of Lorelei. She drew him too, expecting him to be some type of creature. He looked somewhat transparent so she started guessing all the transparent creatures but the main one had to be ghost. “Mister, what are you?”
"A demon." Hunter answered quickly, his eyes flashing golden. They seemed to give off their own light source, not much, but as if small flame were trapped behind his eyes. While a lie, it wasn't unbelievable, as per his dramatic attitude and flaming presence, but it still was a flat out lie. The humans didn't need to know thst though.
"Gooot iiit." Quinn answered plainly, assessing the situation at hand. These specific two creatures seemed incredibly social considering the scenario. Which did the opposite affect of easing her, rather, she found herself carefully watching their words for dangerous double meanings that could lead to beibg tricked. Her confident attitude wouldn't get her anywhere if she wasn't observant. "So then, there's others obviously hiding around in shadows and making noise. How many of you are here?" She questioned, Lorelei, as she seemed to be easier to talk to. Of course, as she was a siren that was a dangerous skill to have.

Lorelei said, “The ones who you can physically see? 8 of them. The ones lurking around and can’t see? A couple thousands.” She answered with sarcasm, she looked at Hunter and nearly face palmed. As a person who loved showing a ghostly side, he was stupid to claim he was a demon.
Keri might be anti-social but she knows what a personality is and she found him to be the King George III of Hamilton. (Lol I made a reference) She actually likes talking to these monsters with no judgement and said, “Oh really? Transparent demons are known to be very very very ugly and really dull.” Her nerdiness in her looks and her diary/journal gave her great “credibility”. “Hmmm maybe you’re hiding behind a mask.” She never felt so social in her life it felt kind of good. נιηχχє∂ (I think you meant to say Quinn not Elizabeth lol)

Hunter gave an overdrawn offended gasp. "Well little girls who draw rude conclusions tend to be very very scared and very dead." He moved away, walking slowly around the room onky with a slighlt glow from his eyes giving his presence a location. "Better watch your mouth, you're lucky I'm so generous to give you another chance. As I assure you, I do not hide behind any mask." Masks no, but sprinkled in lies would be a yes.
Quinn raised a brow at the thousands comment. Catching onto the sarcasm but not completely sure on how serious the vommwnt could be. Even the first number she gave could be considered an infestation. It's interesting to see so many different creatures huddled together in one area.
(Lol yeah, both are based off me at different points in my life yeah.)

Emily decided to keep mostly quiet at this point. She wasn't very sure of what to think of the situation, even though she was very fond of mythological beings. This just wasn't scary, or exciting, she wasn't even surprised at the time. Emily was just a mix of most everything. Then, she spoke, "Wait, so you're a siren. Correct? If so then, wouldn't you still need most water to survive? You are practically a fish." Emily tried to ask some questions to make sure it wasn't some kind of hoax. "And, shouldn't you be by the seashore? Sirens normally would be found there whilst luring sailors" Oak continued on, trying to remember some things from the book, Mythilogical Beings With History.

Lorelei shook her head and told her the truth, “Yah it’s true that usually we would live near the shore or in the ocean. But ahem a specific type of species trashed the ocean leaving barely any hospitable areas to live in. So after couple generation we adapted to basically breathing on land for long periods of time.” She also added, “Just saying, more people are on the land rather than the sea so that’s even better for me.”
Keri jotted down the information that Lorelei spoke of, this made it sound like a TV show where they interviewed the monsters. She also felt her face turned red from embarrassment when Hunter retorted like that, she now wrote in her journal, Very sassy ghostly figure, don’t insult. She continued to visually study everything that was visible in the dark. (Lol that’d be cool but very hard, she doesnt really trust in people easily.) נιηχχє∂DarkFoot
