Rea wrapped the blankets around the baby, rocking him with the expression of a tired new mother. Groaning deeply, she looked at Sawyer on the wooden floors. "Word of advice, Sawdy- don't have kids." Fighting back and ultimately failing to hide a yawn, she watched his ball roll. "..Where'd ya get that?" 😺QuietStar😺

She sighed, rubbing tiredly at the crease between her eyebrows. "Whe-When you're older, Sawdy. A big strong buff boy." She explained, gesturing to the people around them. "Like Wolfie. Wolfie big strong buff boy. Or dog. I don't really know." She murmured, reclining back on the sofa cushion. "I'm suprised you're not using this chance to sleep." 😺QuietStar😺

"Hmm." He said, continuing to roll his ball across the floor. "We don't get tired, Hagon's probably just bored." He added with a chuckle. He looked out the window, seeing the rain stream down the windows. A loud boom was heard as thunder and lightning took over the sky. He cowered in a corner, and Scratch winced as the sound entered his ears. "It's SO loud!" He said, not realizing he was yelling. It wasn't loud to everyone else, but to a werewolf, it was as if it was right next to them.

Rea hummed, leaning her head back against the couch and closing her eyes as she listened to the subdued noises around her, Sawyer's voice murmuring to her softly. Just as she thought she might fall asleep, a loud crack echoed through the room, followed by Sawyer's piercing scream. Rea jumped up from her relaxed position, body impossibly rigid as Mattie's cries, having been awaken by Rea's fast movements, filled the air. Groaning, she threw herself back once again, curling her blanket around her and adjusting her arms to cradle Mattie closer. Peering at the star struck, petrified boy from the corner of her eye, Rea sighed again, patting the cushion beside her, which came loud in the silence. "C'mere, Sawdy. I'll tell you a story or sumthin."

Hrafn said, "It is fine Sawyer. You really cannot affect the trajectory of the ball." When she heard the thunder, she looked out the window to see the lightning. "Hagon, Sawyer, do you need to plug your ears?" She tossed some earplugs to the two of them, murmuring, "Lightning is beautiful, but deadly at the same time."

Hagon heard Hrafn's voice and jolted awake as the earplugs landed in his face. "Huh?" He said in a startled tone, then yawned. "Uh thanks." He said. "Woah, is it thundering outside?" He asked, climbing down he ladder, trudging over, and peering out the window.
Sawyer put the earplugs in his pocket, wanting to hear the story from Rea.

Hrafn looked at the skies outside, saying, "I'm going out. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT LOCKING ME OUT. DO NOT BURN IT DOWN." She took her ventus friend again and then simply asked for a cocoon. It obliged and she went outside. The lightning was natural, though she took her sword, Helios, and channeled energy through the golden blade. The voice of the lightning said, "Hrafn, my old friend. Follow me." The lightning arced from the blade to a soaked tree, not burning it but still leaving steam. She followed on a wind current, enjoying the warm air in her cocoon. Lightning loved her, moreso than other children of Zeus or Jupiter. It reminded her of Dustfinger from Inkheart. Master of flames, the one who danced in it with no burns. She was him, though with lightning. A boom from the current she was following said, "We are here." Hrafn saw the electric blue pool, with golden streaks of lightning leaping up and down, with the grace of a ballet dancer, but the ferocity of a hungry lion pride. "Daughter of Zeus, step in…" She stepped in, feeling the energy of her loyalty come up a thousandfold. Crackling with electricity, she could summon it with no problem. "Hrafn, this is a sacred clearing where Zeus rested once. He bathed in the water, which gave it the energy of today." She felt the very rush of energy from just touching it, but… She took her almost empty canteen of water, dipping it in, drinking from the water. Feeling the energy come up again, she realized it was better than any energy drink a mortal could make, though it would fry anyone else. Lightning now rippled under her skin, illuminating her skull. The ghastly image would scare anyone, and she could see around her clearer than ever. As the energy died down, she filled her canteen again, comitting it to memory, as she knew where its relative location was from the cabins. Flying back, she felt more adrenaline follow her than ever. Stepping into the cabin, her slightly glowing figure might have drawn attention, but it was just about to die. Heading to her bunk, she got on top of the blanket, using her electricity to make light.

Rea sat back, still cradling a rather whiny Mattie. Honestly, sometimes she couldn't decide if she wanted to cherish him or smother him. She shifted a little bit upon noticing Sawyer's rather.. intense gaze. This kid didn't even know what a story was but looked persistent! "Geez, kid." She muttered under hushed breathe. Needed a story, and quick... Oh, she thought distantly, I've got the perfect story. "I know. I'll tell you an old tale from my homeland." She brought her index finger forward, lightly tapping his nose. "There lived a tribe of fae- said to be the purest of pure. Their inability to feel human emotions and ceaseless beauty that never aged made them practically untouchable. For centuries they lived in hiding, stolen away in twilight from the wicked world of men, but such things would soon come to change. The tribe- called the pura fae, bore a son to the Keeper, the leader of the pura fae. He named the child Vion. Vion was a curious creature- one who sought to learn of the humans and beasts they'd turned their back on. So, at the grievances of his tribe, he sought the ruler of the human, and kneeled on knee before the king's Heir, pledging that in return for a trade line and peace between the two races was maintained, Vion would remain, to provide the Heir infinite knowledge and council. And this arrangement worked- for many, many decades. But soon the Heir was an Heir no more, but a king. And he bore another heir, the most beautiful, girl with blonde tresses. But where that girl was beautiful, she was also cruel. She envied Vion and the Pura Fae for their eternal beauty and fairness. She sought to find a way to stave off her own aging, and in doing so brought ruin upon the kingdom. She ordered for horrific experiments and senseless slaughters of villages all in the name of achieving her eternal beauty. She paid no heed to to Vion's counsel, and one day fate, as it always must, came knocking for compensation."

Hrafn knew deep inside one thing, this pool was like Lyngvi, island of Fenris, as the senior counsler of the Athena cabin said, which disappeared and would only come up about once a year. It would move, but it followed the child of its symbol. Her. Zeus cared for her, if he had influenced the pool's location. Lightning crackled under her skin, still. It reminded her of what some campers said a Hepheastas child had looked like when the fire got too hot. Looking at it, she saw the lightning drawing patterns under the flesh.
Rea reclined in her seat, rocking the small baby as her voice grew serious. "Finally, Vion decided that the Heir would not heed his words, so he turned to the guidance of his old friend, the king. The king locked his daughter away inside a tall tower, so that she might spend her years until coronation repenting and learning her ways, for the king had no other Heir, and his wife had long since left this world. But the daughter did not repent her ways. Instead, her heart grew only colder and colder within her tower, and she waited eagerly until at last the king laid on his deathbed, and she was at last crowned queen. And her first action as ruler? She spread lies of the Pura Fae, speaking of their cruel magic and self righteousness. She made the humans loathe the pura fae, piling the killings on them. Eventually, once she was sure she had turned the humans against the Pura fae, the Queen called for their annihilation. The Pura fae were slaughtered, and their blood harvested. The queen was said to bathe in their blood to obtain their youth and immortality." Rea leaned forward, staring the boy in the eyes. "Eventually, Vion, who had been locked deep within his library, emerged and came to know of these atrocities. Horrified, he became enraged by these crimes against his people. And these emotions- these dark, hateful emotions- corrupted him. Turned him inside out and devoured him until all that was left was something nasty and broken. He vowed vengeance against the humans- against the queen. He became a monster who hurt everyone around him," She hummed, quietly picking at the brand against her hand, "Or so the story goes, I suppose." 😺QuietStar😺
Hrafn heard the story, but she knew exactly what had happened. She was a descendent of a friend of Vion, one that hadn't been known. The raven haired girl was thinking. Heir, daugter of the king, was cruel. She was jealous, and had no compassion at all. One of Hrafn's ancestors had helped, but… The Pura Fae were a race that Hrafn had encountered. Most were cruel, but she always sent a bolt of pain down their legs, and had run. Her face tilted with thought
