Aimee looked up at Daniel. "Why's there a fire?" she asked in a small voice, instantly regretting her decision to speak. Embarrassment flooded over her like this one huge wave.

Joshua gave a toothy smile. He slipped one hand behind her neck and the other on her shoulder which was farthest from him. Leaning in, his lips connected with hers.

(Not gonna finish tha kiss cause I wanna see Nagisa's reaction lol

Daniel looked back up at her, taking a deep breath. "To keep warm, it tends to get cold down here. And it makes lights up the room and gives a good place for smoke Synthians to drain their power." His mouth crooked into a closed smile.

Nagisa squeaked softly in surprise, her eyes wide. Sooner or later, she relaxed and kissed back.

Aimee arched her eyebrows into an expression of confusion. "Why would you want to drain your power?" she asked. Aimee obviously didn't get the fact that Daniel was probably being sarcastic.

After awhile, Joshua finally moved back. He looked at her face carefully. "Do you need a mirror?" he asked with a glint in his eyes.

"...N-No. I admit..." Nagisa hid her face in her hands.

[ghostwhisper]

Daniel narrowed his eyes, becoming slightly confused himself. "Not draining your own power, you take the power from the source so you can use it. You drain it from the fire and add it to your supply." He explained, hoping to sound at least a bit accurate on what its like to be a Synthian.

The child that had fallen continued to cry and scream. Chevelle grunted angrily, shoving her paper and pencil back in her bag, standing abruptly up.

"Is that what you're doing?" Aimee asked in a voice that sounded almost like a whisper.


Joshua chuckled while removing her hands from her face. "I knew you'd come to your senses," he teased.

"Whatever..." She muttered, crossing her arms and pouting slightly.

Daniel shook his head. "Nah, just admiring it." He glanced around. "Are you new? Being a Synthian, that is." He asked, nervousness spreading through him. He didn't want to offend her, that was the last thing he wanted to do.

Aimee shrugged. "Well I never really ever use my powers," she muttered. "but I guess you can call me new."

Joshua grinned, leaning towards her cheek and giving it a fine kiss. He moved his head towards her ears. "But you are a good kisser," he whispered softly.

"I am? I mean-- of course I am!" Nagisa smirked slightly, her blush failing to go away.

Daniel nodded. He noticed she was trying to stay a distance. "You can come sit down, if you'd like." He offered, his smile growing wider and trying to look more inviting.

Joshua threw his head back and laughed. Not a mean laugh, exactly. But just a laugh of pure amusement. "Of course you are," He chuckled. "Shall we go back to the park? Maybe see if we can play with any Synthians or normals?" he asked, raising his eyebrows in an attractive fashion.

Aimee couldn't hold back a small smile, however hard she tried. His attractive smile sent shivers running along the back of her spine. However hesitant Aimee was, she couldn't help but to take a few steps forward and then end up sitting down. She sat there in silence, contemplating on whether or not she should speak.

Daniel scooted over once she made her way toward him, and he curled his toes again. He stifled a nervous laughter, heart in a lump, thudding through his body. He scratched his head, and rubbed his eyes from the smoke from the fire.
