Gold hesitated for a second. This cat knew other strays - Gold barely knew other house cats. He hated to admit it, but Smoke was probably his best shot here. Leaping off, Gold landed on the ground a bit clumsily, but he didn't stumble. "Wait," he meowed, tail lashing behind him. "You know a lot of other cats, don't you?" There was absolutely no going back now. Whatever happened, would happen.
His whiskers twitched a bit as he added, "You may think of me as totally crazy after saying this, but I need to meet other cats. There was this weird dream, and now I'm on some kind of quest." He mentally prepared himself for Smoke to take off without another glance, calling him crazy. Better get this over with as soon as possible.
Kestrel glanced around as she heard the distant noise of a bell. A kittypet is here? she thought, almost amused. It wasn't unheard of that they actually went through dark and dirty alleys, just unusual. Stretching, the tortoiseshell went towards the sound of the bell. Nothing better than scaring kittypets first thing in the morning, right? She hopped over a sturdy carton, landing gracefully as she strode farther. Sticking to the shadows, she soon saw a black she-cat, a silver bell making noise whenever she walked.
What a poor soul, she thought. It was almost pitiful when twolegs did that to their cats. Shaking her head, she meowed, "What's a kittypet doing here?"
"Hmm?" Beetle's head turned in the direction of the stranger, her orange eyes wide. She hadn't been expecting a voice. Her gaze traveled to the other cat, and she quickly realized that she didn't have a collar. She had a couple of scars, too... she was probably a stray. Beetle wasn't scared, exactly, though she was a little nervous and surprised. She didn't know much about stray cats, but they had a bit of a fearsome reputation on the block where she lived. Fighting day in and day out for food and shelter, backstabbing each other to survive. It sounded like an awful existence to her, personally. Why didn't they just find some housefolk to take care of them, she wondered?
Still... this stray wasn't threatening her, at least not yet, so maybe she shouldn't overreact. The black cat would keep her guard up, though. "Oh. Hey. I'm just taking a shortcut." She explained, a small smile crossing her maw. She was a little nervous, but she was also intrigued. She didn't talk to strays often, maybe she could learn something talking to one. She slowed her walk down to a stop, and added, "What about you? Do you, uh, live here...?" She trailed off a little bit awkwardly, flicking an ear.
Smoke stared at Gold, and blinked slowly several times. After a few moments of consideration, he hopped down from the fence and sat down so he was facing the other.
"All right," he meowed. "You have my attention. Tell me about your quest."
In reality, Smoke was a bit more excited than he let on. Of course, there was always the chance that this was just some fabrication of a lonely kittypet, but Smoke couldn't help but trust Gold - especially with all the rumors going about.
Description: Long and sleek, Specklepaw has soft, cream fur. She has patches of black and white on her back, along with tail. Her chest, neck, muzzle and bellyfur are powder-white, but the most notable and beautiful part of her looks is her unique, dark chocolate patches on her legs, tail and face. The top of her muzzle and bridge of her nose is completely dark chocolate-colored, along with small patches and dots on her right cheek, however, her left side of her face is rarely touched, along with the occasional dot or speckle. Her ears are average-sized, along with dark-chocolate fur on her ears, having pure dark-chocolate-colored ears, not a single hair of any other color on them. Specklepaw has bright, sapphire blue eyes, with lighter blue around the edges and such. She also bears a blue collar, the collar has small dapples, which appear to be fish. Along with of course, a bell. But, luckily, the bell is surprisingly broken and does not make any sound. Reference.
Personality: {Her personality is kinda her Clan personality XD} Bright and cheerful, Speckle is a cat of many personalities. She is shockingly smart, despite where she came from. Shes fast and witty, perfecting the element of surprise. Speckle is rather willing to become the best she can be. But of course, the collar of hers reminds everyone that shes just a kittypet, nothing fierce about them, of course. She hates it and vows to get rid of it one day, one day she shall. Speckle is a very determined she-cat, she is very encouraging and will be your shoulder to lean on. She despises violence, often questioning the meaning, but if she feels threatened, she will fight back.

Kestrel nodded, listening to the other cat. She raised one of her paws, licking it. A kittypet could be no threat. She shrugged as the black she-cat asked her a question. "I live everywhere. I sleep wherever I find a place to."
With ease, Kestrel leaped back onto the sturdy carton, amber eyes looking down on Beetle. "Kittypets don't pass by often. I wonder... are you just more adventurous or are you just more mouse-brained than other kittypets? It's not like it's totally safe to take a shortcut through a dark alley."
Gold halted. He hadn't expected the cat to actually stay and listen, he'd expected Smoke to take off running. He managed to stutter out a small 'uh' as he sat down and shook his head. Ok, think, Gold. How can you explain this.
He remained quiet for a bit longer, then opened his mouth. "You see, yesterday I had this dream. In the dream, I was at this beautiful and huge puddle... I don't know what it's called, sorry. Basically it was a lot of water and then this cat appeared. He had stars in his fur! He told me that I was his descendant and that I had to lead a group of cats to the place I was at to rebuild a, uh, Clan." Gold gulped in some air, hoping that he wasn't talking too fast. "He also said that a sign would appear that would lead the cats and me in the right direction. And, well, now I'm looking for some cats who would be up for that...."
The black cat watched as Kestral sprung onto the carton. She paused for a moment, considering how to answer the question. "Maybe a bit of both." She decided, letting a small smirk crossing her muzzle. "But, hey, the ally isn't that long. And you haven't tried to claw my throat out yet." ... well, here's hoping she didn't just jinx it.
Speckle burst out of the new, err.. strange device that had been added to the wooden door. She stared at it with interest from the outside world, sticking her paw in it. From what she had been made able to make out of her housefolk's strange language, something about a cat-flap of some sort. Kneading the damp grass with her patched paws, she took a deep breath in the fresh air, happy to finally be outside. She strode over to the white, sturdy, slightly claws fence and leapt, scrambling her thorn-sharp claws across the poor thing countlessly, finally scrambling to the top of the fence.

Also, currently it's only the start of the rp, so not too much. Gold told Smoke about his dream, Sweetheart joining in on their conversation. So they'll probably set out to tell a few more cats soon. Beside that Kestrel and Bettle met in an alley and Speckle is currently on the fence outside her house. You could either acknowledge one of them or simply rp your cat in the twolegplace))
"Hm," Kestrel replied, a bit surprised that the kittypet had actually acknowledged that they may be mouse-brained. Interesting. "I usually don't claw other cats' throats out. Too messy," she finally answered, tail tip twitching. It was true, though, it was a pain to either lick the blood off or wash it away, and then if you happened to kill a cat where you wanted to sleep, the smell was something very off-putting.
Honestly, she had never killed anybody - not that the kittypet had to know that. She had simply been in fights before and also once slept in an alley where an old cat's body had been rotting away. Both were not pleasant tales to tell. However, most kittypets she had met so far were skittish and ran when she spoke up from the shadows. This cat was at least a little bit interesting.
For just a moment, the housecat's eyes widened, her demeanor shaken. Had she actually killed cats before? The way she spoke seemed to be implying that. Suddenly, she felt a little uncomfortable here, unable to look the stray cat in the eyes. She took a few steps forward, wondering what to say next. Alright, she wasn't attacking Beetle yet, so she had no need to panic. Just... maybe it would be a good idea to watch her words around this cat from now on. Didn't want to make her angry.
"That's... interesting?" She offered, unsure of what to say to that. For a moment, her mind wandered to a darker place. Was clawing a cat's throat really that messy? It didn't seem like it would be... no, this didn't matter. It wasn't like this was something she would ever need to do. She banished those thoughts to another corner of her mind, glancing back at Kestrel. "Well, I guess you'd know better than me..."
