A pretty white colored she-cat flicked her pale blue eyes open. The sun was just beginning to rise, but it was darker than it should have been. The cat walked out of her den and sniffed the air, 'A storm is on it's way. I better have to get some cats check all of the dens and get them to block out any drafts or leaks. Then I need to send out some patrols for hunting; but only the strongest warriors should be going.' Dawnstar pressed out of her end, her large, pointed ears fell flat from the sudden hard downpour of the rain. The cat gave a soft hiss of annoyance and made her way over to Mossnose. The cat called out over the pounding rain, "Can you ask Dewpaw to check up on the nursery to see if any of them need anything?"
Aurorapaw flicked open her eyes, the rain was what caused her to stir. The apprentice stretched her limbs and made her way out of the den; glancing left and right the cat caught out Rosetail, her mentor. Aurorapaw was slate blue in color, with the color of the bridge of her nose white, along with her paws and tail tip. The she-cat glanced over at Dewpaw, whom had a terrible awakening at the roar of thunder that cracked above the den and had bolted out with freight. The blue cat gave a mrrow of laughter as Dewpaw once again looked bewildered, but now it was because of the shock of the cold rain.
Dewpaw had quite the awakening. The cat looked over at Mossnose, her mentor, and saw Dawnstar was talking to him. The black she-cat decided to make her way over to the elder's den to see if Cherrypetal was alright with the storm here. Her amber-eyes met the sleeping figure of the elder and so she silently checked the den for any leaks. 'Good. There are none. The elders should be fine then. But by Starclan! This is quite a storm that rolled in over night!" Dewpaw made her way back, unwillingly, to the center of camp. The cat found herself worried with living in a valley, it meant tat all the water passed through here from areas all around here.
Thunderfang gave an annoyed hiss at the commotion of Aurorapaw was making outside. The cat could hear the rumbling in the clouds above. The orange tabby cat made his way out into the rain; the cool water felt great, but the pressure it was coming down stung his pelt a bit. The warrior glanced over at Lightningpelt; whom had just gotten back from hunting early that morning. Thunderfang's yellow eyes met the other warrior's and they both bowed their heads. The two toms had both been born during bad storms and was named after them. Thunderfang glanced over at Dawnstar, wondering what the orders were for the day.
Lightningpelt laid down three mice he had caught. It was the worst hunt he had in quite some time. The coming storm had chased all of the prey into hiding, with the exception of a few. He would have to report this. May cats could be going hungry for the night at this rate. The queens desperately needed to be fed, since all of them had kits and then there were the elders. The yellow tabby cat looked around the clan, wondering how every cat was doing.
Chilledember very softly licked Poppykit's head. After a few licks she did the same to Autumnkit and Maplekit. The queen looked down at her kits with such soft, loving eyes. They were her kits, they were the most precious thing Starclan could have ever gifted her with. The queen was a red tabby cat with white accents around her eyes, her paws, and chest. The cat suddenly turned worried as she could hear the raging storm outside of the den. She didn't know what she would do if the den started to flood. She would have to get her kits out! The cat shook her head and remained silent; laying vigilant around her kits.
