"You can all go, but we must leave now. On the way back I want to have time to check borders and make sure everything is okay. " Nettlefang said. "Are we all ready?" He asked shortly after that.
Thunderfang knew he couldn't sulk for too long. The large tabby rose up up his paws and could see Ivorypaw searching for him. The warrior made his way over to her and rumbled, "Lets ask Nettlefang if he needs us for a patrol, if not, we are battle training today. Sound good?" The golden-orange cat looked at his pure white apprentice. She would have a better chance hunting in a season like leaf-bare, especially if it snowed. He wanted to train her in battle moves first though, he hadn't done that in a while. He noticed the deputy leaving with a patrol though, so he decided there was no reason to interrupt. The cat rumbled, "It seems asking him will not be necessary, shall we go off and battle train?" (✵➴~gσℓ∂єиѕку~➴✵) Bearstorm nodded and rumbled, "Ready when you are." The cat glanced over at Softpaw, seeing her paws shifting back and forth anxiously the tom rumbled, "So is your apprentice." The cat waited for the other two to reply and then they would be off.
She nodded. "Yes, I'm ready," she meowed with a slight yawn. She, Riverface, just wanted to get this patrol over with so that she can have a little bit of time to talk to Foxflame. "I need to talk to you after the patrol," she meowed and looked into his eyes, "It's important."
Graystar nodded and headed to the waterfall. He looked up at it and felt a chill of foreboding run up his spine. It felt like there was something dark there, like a premonition. Something bad was going to happen, and this waterfall was connected to it, Graystar realized. He looked back at her. "Can we go somewhere else?" he asked.

Cloverpaw finished cheering, and looked back at his mentor as she spoke. "Okay, Snowleaf," he meowed, happy that he could finally get out of camp for a while. "What are we looking for?" He mentally tried to think of herbs that would still be alive during leafbare. Juniper berries, maybe? As Dappleclaw cheered, she noticed Thunderfang's face become bitter for no more than a second, before smiling and cheering with the rest of the clan. She felt a pang of empathy; she knew he had really wanted to be deputy, even more than she did. Even if he was a bit showy, she knew he could've made a good deputy as well, perhaps. Oh well, he'd get over it. She walked over to Nettlefang along with many other cats, and asked, "May I lead a border patrol, Nettlefang?" Martinpelt walked over to Nettlefang when the meeting ended, but it looked like the hunting patrol was full enough by how many cats were asking to join it. She sat down and waited to see if she would be assigned to a border patrol. She secretly hoped she wouldn't, so she could go hunting with Willowfrost. Border patrols were kind of boring.

Foxflame nodded. Whatever she wanted to talk about must be serious because of the tone of her voice. "Yeah." he meowed and turned to Nettlefang. "You lead?"
Mistdrop nodded. "Sure, if you want. Where do you wanna go?" she asked. She could tell something was wrong by the way his fur prickled along his spine.
ic: After he checked to see that everyone was ready, Nettlefang began to lead everyone out of camp. He hoped that today's hunting patrol would be successful and that everything would go smoothly. However, he felt that something was out of the ordinary for whatever reason. He decided to keep his eyes and ears focused in case they came across intruders or unwanted activity on the territory.
ooc 2: It's referring to what will happen later with SwiftClan.
She nodded, content that she would be able to talk to him even if something else occurred. She ran her tail over her side, and looked down at the ground, thoughtfully. She just hoped that Foxflame wouldn't be upset with what she had to tell him.
"Anywher-" Graystar cut off as his eyes glazed over. An image of a large, black-and-white tom pinning him to the ground appeared inside of his mind. The cave was filled with battle and the caterwauling of angry cats. But that wasn't everything; he knew that black-and-white cat. It was Swiftstar, the leader of SwiftClan! Graystar blinked as the images faded away.
Riverface followed after Foxflame, her thin tail trailing behind her. She opened her jaws and scented the air for prey as they walked out of the camp. All she tasted was snow and possibly the crackling of lightning in the air, like it was going to storm. There weren't many clouds in the sky though, which slightly confused Riverface due to the fact that it seemed like good weather for a storm. She hated how wet the camp got when it rained though. Graystar shook his head. "I don't think so, but it could be nothing," he meowed. Did StarClan send me that?, he thought to himself, Or was it you, Pinestar? He shook his thoughts off and led the way to the stream that bordered SwiftClan. He waited for Mistdrop. (oenomaus)
((Please try not to make it a habit of posting short posts.))
"It's not you," he said, sounding a bit annoyed, "It has nothing to do with you." He looked down at his paws. "I can't tell you until I know what it means, otherwise it would just cause calamity for absolutely no reason," he explained, "But it isn't your fault. Now, why did you want to go for a walk?"
"Uh..." she meowed and looked at the cats around her, "Foxflame, I'm, um... Expecting your kits," she meowed and shuffled her feet, hoping that he wasn't angry or anything. She knew that some toms didn't want kits, but it was one of the only things in life that she really wanted, so she, of course, was ecstatic.
He looked at her with wide eyes. "R-really?" he meowed then his gaze softened. He licked her cheek. "That's great!" he purred. He was going to be a father! It really was great. He had never had kits before, as far as he could remember, so this would be challenging for him.
Mistdrop nodded. "Okay." she meowed. "And, I just wanted to spend time with you I guess." she meowed. "But if you have other things to think about I'm fine with that." She really was fine with it. Shoot, she was in love with a cat that was a leader once. A cat that is a leader couldn't be that different.
Softpaw silently followed behind her mentor without making any noise. She parted her maw and took in a deep breath of the area, but she couldn't smell anything. The cat couldn't figure out if it was the cold that kept her from smelling anything except for the damp ground below them and the trees around them. The cat made her way beside Nettlefang and whispered softly, "I am not too sure how to hunt in leaf-bare.." The cat trailed off. She was only ten moons so as a result, it was her first leaf-bare, and she wasn't exactly ready for it. She flattened her large, sharp ears in shame that she couldn't find anything. (Birchstar) Bearstorm hadn't said anything, as he was lost in his thoughts some where. The cat scented the area, but as he figured, prey was going to be quite scarce, especially with so many cats on patrol. The cat softly rumbled, "Do you think we should split up for a little while? I can go off on my own, no big deal. If anything, it would help my hunt." The large tabby cat felt a little out of place with the two behind them and then getting in the way of his sister and her mentor. Thunderfang nodded and rumbled, "Would you like to have another warrior tag along to have an extra set of paws to train with? Maybe we can ask Cloudpaw and a warrior to go play fight around the dirt." The tom forced a smile towards his apprentice, trying not to let the morning's events effect the rest of his day.
