"Well, uh, I mean, you asked me to go with you, so I think you should pick," he meowed, "So we'll just go to the waterfall or whatever." He was ranting for absolutely no reason other than being nervous, though he wasn't sure what he was nervous for. I mean, it wasn't like Mistdrop could have anything bad to say, right? But what if she disapproved of his decision on Nettlefang? What if she wanted Foxflame to be the deputy? Suddenly his stomach felt twisted with anxiety.

(Sorry for the late responses. School. )
"Nettlefang!" Snowleaf cheered along with the others. She was very fond of Graystar's choice of deputy, for she knew that Nettlefang was an older, yet not too old, warrior with plenty of experience. He would be perfect for the job. She stopped chanting the new deputy's name after Graystar dismissed the Clan, and she looked at Cloverpaw so she could answer his question from earlier. "We are low on a few herbs, so I want you to come gather more with me," she simply told him. (☼ Sorrelleaf ☼)

"Don't worry, I'm happy Nettlefang's deputy, even if Foxflame doesn't feel the same." she meowed, as if reading his mind. "Do you wanna lead?" she asked. Honestly, she didn't know how Foxflame felt about the deputy thing. Her brother was always a mystery to her sometimes.
Foxflame got up and looked around for his mate. He turned his head at his name and trotted over. "Someone said my name?" he asked, flicking his tail. He was impatient these days for some reason. He yawned and looked at the deputy with emotionless green eyes.
Nettlefang glanced at Foxflame and said, "I just wanted to see if you could join the hunting patrol, but if you're busy that's okay. I'll just find another cat to go instead." The patrol needed to get going soon though.
((✞~Spottedleaf ~✞ of course, you don't need to ask my permission, Spot! x3)) ((𝓡𝓐𝓘𝓝𝓨 Maybe your cat should just find their mentor or something? Or she could try talking to the other apprentices.))
"Um, sure," he meowed, "We're going to the waterfall, right?" He padded out of the den and headed to the entrance of the cave. He made a mental note to take Cloudpaw out later, because he knew that he'd been slacking on his training, which wasn't fair to the cat. He noted that, also, if he couldn't somehow find time, that he should probably find Cloudpaw a new apprentice, because as he said, it just wasn't fair to the young cat.
"It's fine. Could Riverface come if she wanted?" Foxflame asked. He didn't mind a good hunt, but he wanted to know if he mate could tag along. His nose twitched and he waited silently. (Short, sorry)
Mistdrop nodded. "Yep, last time I checked." she purred. "Or do you wanna go somewhere else?" she asked. She didn't really care where they went at this point.

Riverface looked up upon hearing her name coming from her mate. She let a soft purr roll off her tongue as she walked over to where Foxflame was standing beside the deputy. "I heard you call my name," she meowed and licked her mate's cheek. She looked at him fondly. Ever since Riverface had met Foxflame, she'd had some sort of a connection with him, one that she once thought that she'd shared with Tigerstar. Of course, she had never been interested in Tigerstar, so she naturally just fell in love with Foxflame.
Bearstrom bowed his large head in respect and rumbled, "As you wish. I will happily go on a hunting patrol. Softpaw, meet me at the entrance of camp, I will go retrieve Foxflame." Right after he had finished saying that the tom had approached, the cat replied, "I don't particularly mind if you want to go ask her. What do you say Nettlefang?" He waited for the tom to reply, making a mental note to watch and help out Softpaw if she needed it; however, he knew she should be fine, she was ten moons already. Softpaw made her way over to the front of the entrance where she awaited her brother and the rest of the patrol. She was determined not to come back to camp until every cat in the patrol had something substantial in their jaws. The last thing she would want is for every cat to go hungry, that would highly upsetting to most of the warriors in the clan. The apprentice sat down, her fur ruffled by the breeze that softly blew into the cave.
"Yeah, do you wanna come on the hunting patrol?" he purred. "If it's fine with Nettlefang of course." he said and licked the top of her head. He thought back to when Riverface first joined the clan. She was still Riverpaw then, and he mentored her. He remembered the feeling of his heart swelling as she told him that she loved him.
ινσяуραω slide out from the apprentice's den. She stretched her front paws and began to clean herself. After she cleaned herself, ινσяуραω searched for her mentor.hmm I wonder where Thunderfang is? she thought
She nodded and looked at Nettlefang. "Can I go with them or do you need me for anything?" she asked the tom cat. It had been many moons since the battle with GorseClan, but Riverface hadn't forgotten it yet. She worked every day to increase her fighting skills, but it seemed hopeless. Riverface wasn't a good warrior, and she knew, and accepted, it. But she was at least decent with hunting, and was confident she could catch at least something for her Clan, because she knew that they needed it. (oenomaus)
Graystar looked at Mistdrop. "So, the waterfall?" he asked, still unsure of where they were going. He looked over at the small group that was crowded around Nettlefang near the HighRock, and he was glad that he wasn't the one organizing patrols. Thankful that he was having a moment to himself, or at least for himself, he turned to Mistdrop and awaited her response. (oenomaus)
"I think so." she chuckled. "I don't know at this point." she meowed and flicked her ear. "Should we get going?" she asked. She wanted to leave before dark at least, because there was something about night that just made her tremble for some reason.
Foxflame smiled. He turned to lick the scar on his leg and looked up at the deputy, then his mate. He liked hunting with her, and maybe he could get some time with her. They didn't get much time together because of warrior duties.
