Owlstar growled gently at herself, and pushed her face into her paws. It was so hard to decide something like this... Whitestone and Leopardclaw could both be good decisions in their own ways.. Whitestone has more of a hold on his temper, but Leopardclaw has more experience as a warrior.. She thought, and scrunched her face up. The thought that this decision could affect her clan greatly in different ways when she lost all her lives stressed her out massively, so she decided to think about the patrols. Fawnstep was on guard duty for all night, and she fought bravely.. She deserves some rest, so shes out of the question. Hmm.. She thought, and bit the inside of her mouth softly as he thought the patrols out, noticing as more cats slowly awoke.
Bramblefang's eyes opened ever so slightly, and sighed, getting up. He didn't get much rest, but he expected a lot of cats haven't after what had happened. He stretched his stiff muscles, and winced in pain when some of the scratches and new scars he would have ached because of his movements. That's gonna be sore for awhile.. He thought, and slowly made his way out of the den, careful to not disturb the few warriors that were sleeping. He noticed Finchflight, and walked over. "Hey, Finchflight." He meowed casually.

Leopardclaw awoke as the morning arrived and groaned when he realized how early it was. He was not always in the best of moods when waking up as early as this. However, as an experienced warrior, he knew that he could not sleep too late, especially now that he had Longpaw to train. Realizing that his apprentice would likely be seeking for him soon, Leopardclaw slowly stood to his paws and stepped outside of the warriors den.

Honeyleaf yawned quietly, her pelt covered with small sticks and leaves. The medecine cat had stayed up late last night, hoarding and sorting herbs. The feline stood slowly, her legs wobbly. "What time is it..?" She muttered under her breath, picking sticks and leaves out of her sticky pelt. She soon looked up from her work, fluffign up her pelt slightly to make her look... Less dead. Her amber lime eyes gazed across the camp from where she was stationed, smiling at each gaze she was offered.
The bright tom lifted his head from his paws. Creamflight itched impatiently, he had the mindset of an apprentice, bothering most others but his siblings. His large eyes traced around the camp, locking his eyes on his leaders den, deciding whether to go strike up a conversation, or offer to help with something. But, he was usually a nuisance to others. Burying his face in his paws, he huffed, lowering his brow and breathing deeply. "Good morning, Quietstep." He smiled
Quietstep slowly rolled onto his side, and, onto his brother. His tail draped over his siblings sandy pelt. A slight groan escaped his maw as he opened his eyes, light filtering into his den and covering his body with warmth. He forced out a reply. "Morning..." He smiled, rollping onto his front and nudging his brothers face from his paws, putting his own head onto the fluffier toms paws, half closing his eyes.
"Wolves don't loose sleep over the opinions of sheep"
The brown tabby jerked his head side ways as his thoughts were broken by the greeting. The cat's green eyes narrowed for a minute before he realized who it was that had interrupted him; causing the cat to calm down a little bit he looked up at the cat, meowing, " 'Morning, you still sore as well?" Finchflight took a second glance at the warrior that was now talking to him and continued, "Make sure you stop by Honeyleaf's den again today. We will all need to, but we can't have reopening any of your wounds." His more, kind side, was surfacing; after all, how could he be upset with a cat that fought bravely in the battle last night? (I'm not quite sure who Bramblefang is; I didn't seem on the clan list, but I went with it anyway; @xxdrwolfehxx )
At the sight of her mentor, the bruised and scratched up apprentice rose to her paws and made her way over to him. The cat's usually rebellious and disrespectful tone was completely gone today. The cat soft asked her mentor, while flattening her ears, "Please teach me how to properly defend my clan." The long limbed cat met her mentor's eyes with her own, they were silently pleading and begging for forgiveness. Longpaw had fought hard, but she and been so terrified and fearful that she had blanked out on most of the training her mentor had taught her. The cat's pelt was still crusted with thin patches of blood and her white fur tinted red, as there was no real time to clean off last night. (✞~Spottedleaf ~✞)
Whitestone finally rose from where he was seated, at the camp entrance. Now that more cats were awake, he didn't have to be so paranoid. The cat hesitantly made his way over to Owlstar; he didn't really have the heart to approach and comfort Longpaw, after all, his apprentice had died while he was battling as did several others; leaving the black and white apprentice all alone in the apprentice's den. He flattened his ears for a few heartbeats before he made it over to high rock. He made his way over to the part of High Rock that was close to the leader's den, but he didn't approach the edge. The cat cleared his voice and softly called out, "Owlstar, is there anything I can help with? If you want, I can take a border patrol to make sure no cats lingered after yesterday." The tom was using every ounce of strength he had at the moment just to remain standing without wobbling, I'll be sure to give myself a bit more strength later with some cold water and a belly full of prey. His light blue eyes showed how tired he was, but he knew every cat was tired; especially Owlstar, after losing so many clan lives last night, there would have to be a lot of burying and cleaning up to do. The cat spoke out a little louder, "Make sure you don't bare all of this on your shoulders alone. Fawnstep will wake if you so much as say you need her help, the rest of the clan is at your side as well. Just tell us what will be easiest for you. We grew up with you; you are our friend and our leader." (@xxdrwolfehxx)
(Oops I was thinking of the wrong cat that I used the same pic for in PineClan. I meant Nettleflame XD)
Nettleflame nodded, "I'll be fine, just a little sore for awhile." He replied, trying to brush the thought of the fight off. "On another topic, maybe we'll get assigned a border patrol around LunarClan borders? Owlstar still needs to thank Aspenstar for sending his cats to fight with us.." He meowed, since he was slightly bored but he liked to talk to some cat when he wasn't doing anything. (genbear)
Owlstar looked up at Whitestone, her relief just barely showing in her eyes. "Yes, That would be nice. You should let Fawnstep rest though, She fought well and then guarded the camp all night." She meowed, getting up from where she was sitting. She then took in his next sentence, standing still for a second before she nodded her head. I don't have to be doing this on my own.. "Thank you, Whitestone.. Really." She meowed, looking up at him with a smile as she let his words sink in. She then nodded him off so that he could go choose the cats for the border patrol. And then later on Leopardclaw can lead a hunting patrol, Fawnstep will hopefully be rested by then, we could use her good hunting...(genbear)
Dipping his head to the leader, Whitestone removed himself from her presence. The cat made his way over to the warrior's den and softly rumbled, "Quitestep, Creamflight, would you two mind going on patrol with me to look for stray warriors from yesterday's battle?" The cat kept his voice down, making sure not to wake his tired sister off in the back of the den. He looked at the two brothers, and backed out of the den; they would make their way out of the den if they wanted to go. Well, I think those two can fight off a patrol on their own; those two brothers will do anything for each other. I never see them apart. lets see, I'll let them catch up but for now, I'll go see the rest of clan. He moved away for a moment, allowing Cramflight and Quietstep to wake and process his words. Making his way over to Nettleflame and Finchflight, the cat rumbled, "Would you two mind going and seeing Owlstar for a task? I am leading a patrol to check the borders, to make sure none of the intruding cats stayed behind. Oh, and please send Leopardclaw and his apprentice in that direction as well, well if you go." He got a nod from Fichflight and sat in the middle of camp. (✖ʍousestar✖, @xxdrwolfehxx)
Watching Whitestone leave and make his way into the center of camp, the warrior turned back to Nettleflame and meowed, "It seems your wish make come true sooner than later. Let us go get Leopardclaw and Longpaw then make our way over to Owlstar. If we go out of our way to speak with her, I am sure getting patrols out will be easier on her than just sitting around and stressing her out of how to divided the work today." Luckily, Finchflight didn't mind Nettleflame's company, so if they were to go thank Lunarclan, he could keep his temper. (@xxdrwolfehxx)
Nettleflame nodded, and went to go ask Owlstar what she wanted them to do while Finchflight could get Leopardclaw and Longpaw up and going. "Owlstar? What would you like me and Finchflight to do?" He asked, cautiously approaching her since he saw her in thought again. Owlstar looked up at Nettleflame and blinked, "Oh, Could you two go hunting? We need all the prey we can get right now." She meowed to the tom, and he nodded, padding off to go find Finchflight again. Nettleflame quickly found Finchflight again, "She wants us to go hunting." He meowed to the other tom. "Before we go, I'm going to go the medicine cat to get some herbs for my wounds." He added on, and slowly made his way to the medicine cat's den under the High Rock. (genbear) Owlstar thought for a moment more, and finally made her decision. He's a good choice for deputy..I'll hold a clan meeting later today. She decided, and got up from her place on the High Rock. She padded down the little stones, deciding she would go on a patrol as well. She still needed to thank LunarClan, if they saw a patrol she would. She padded over to Whitestone, "I'm going to go with you and the cats you chose as well." She meowed.

The Tom would lift his head from his brothers as his name was mentioned, gazing up at the warrior, blinking slowly as the toms words almost slipped away from him. Nodding, Creamflight would slowly raise his form, shaking his clingy brother from his paws and standing slowly. The warrior would soon follow after Whitestone, his brother tagging by his side, their frames rubbing against each other as they walked. The toms long pelt was littered with sticks and leaves, it was a chore to clean it out, so, as they were walking, the Tom began to pick out small objects from his long fur, sneezing as pollen and dust filled his lungs. Huffing, the tom soon finished, lifting his head again to blink as sunlight filtered through the clouds and into his large round eyes. [genbear]
Quietstep hunted in annoyance as his brother stood, his head sliding off his paws and onto the ground. Huffing, the tom stood and proceeded to glue himself to his brothers side. His tail was curled around his brothers so that they would not part from each other, an occasional paw landing on another cats paw. Sighing, they soon reached Whitestones frame, his brother brushing his tail against the pale warriors back to alert him of their presence. "We'll tag along then." He yawned, his whiskers twitching as he gazed around the clan. [genbear]
"Wolves don't loose sleep over the opinions of sheep"
Finchflight nodded to Nettleflane and rumbled, "Alright, I'll be waiting here for you when you get back." Hunting patrol, he thought, at least it's not that bad. Just between the two of us, we can probably catch enough prey to feed the entire clan now. Which is actually a rather depressing thought. He felt a cool breeze flow through his short plet. The meowed out loud as he made his way over to Longpaw and Leopardclaw, "Leaf-fall is here, it's going to be a rough next few moons or so. Oh, Leopardclaw, please see Owlstar before she leaves camp, she may have a task for you and Longpaw." The cat looked at his apprentice with pity, over hearing her plead to him to become stronger. He understood the feeling of helplessness because he was a small tom, even fully grown. When you can't fight like everyone else, you end up shaming yourself and questioning why you are here. Finchflight sat down and waited for the elder warrior to respond, bowing his head in respect for the experienced warrior. (@xxdrwolfehxx ✞~Spottedleaf ~✞)
Whitestone jumped slightly in surprise bu her sudden appearance. The white cat bowed his in respect, rumbling, "Of course, Owlstar. I invited the brothers, Quietstep and Creamflight, along with us." The cat swayed his tail back and forth leisurely, "I think we have a strong enough patrol to chase out any trouble. When we get back I am sure there will be prey here to fill our bellies. However, are you sure you don't want to rest some more? We can handle things for a little while?" The cat's blue eyes looked over her once or twice to examine her condition. The cat heard the two brothers approach, "Alright, take a few minutes to wake up and then we will be off. Owlstar will be joining us today. Thank you for tagging along." (✖ʍousestar✖ @xxdrwolfehxx)

Nettleflame went into Honeyleaf's den, sitting as he got herbs reapplied. He then padded out of the den and over to Finchflight. "Alright.." He meowed, since it looked like Finchflight hadn't noticed him. Owlstar shook her head, "Every cat must be tired, I'm not going to use that excuse to lounge around while you all actually do something." She purred as a slight joke to him. True, she would love to nap in her nest with the wounds she had received and even losing a life, but she was the leader, she had to remain strong for her clan. (genbear)
At the sight of her mentor, the bruised and scratched up apprentice rose to her paws and made her way over to him. The cat's usually rebellious and disrespectful tone was completely gone today. When Longpaw approached Leopardclaw, the first thing he noticed was the blood. He wasn't sure what had happened to him, so his first instinct was to ask him. "What happened? Why are you bleeding? Did you get in a fight?" he asked his apprentice. He wasn't usually a cat to ask questions like this, but he deeply cared for his apprentice, and he was responsible for her when they were together. After all, his leader had entrusted him with mentoring her to be a warrior.

The cat's slate blue face showed his trouble expression as she brushed off his concern. Whitestone lowered his voice and whispered, "Alright, but if so much as start to drag your feet while you are on patrol, I will have Quickstep and Creamflight escort you back to camp while I continue the patrol." His blue ears were flattened against his white head and he shook. Backing away from her slightly, he rumbled on, "Very well; if that is what our leader wants, then I will happily obey your command." His blue eyes flashed her a warning that he was serious about what he said though. (@xxdrwolfehxx)
The apprentice shook her head, meowing, "It was from when the Oakclan cats broke into camp yesterday. I just didn't get time to clean up, I was too tired. Some of the other warrior's are worse off than I am, it's just my white fur that is the problem. It made it more noticeable than most of theirs." Longpaw tilted her head off to the side, wondering if he had just forgotten or slept through the attack. Either way, she was too tired and upset with herself to retell the tale of what had happened. She didn't ever slack off on training, but she never asked her mentor for extra training when he gave her days off. The black and white cat deeply regretted that at this point. Why had this happened? Why didn't Starclan warn them a head of time? So many cats were lost in the battle. (✞~Spottedleaf ~✞)

(Oh. I didn't know about the attack. Oops. XD)
Leopardclaw shrugged, moving on from the subject. The wounds weren't fatal, so Longpaw could wait for treatment until after their training session for the day. "Anyways, let's do some battle training," he finally said in response to Longpaw's initial question from this morning. He started to head toward the training area, but he stopped. "Are you ready to go now, or do you want to eat something first? It may be a while before we get back here," he asked her. (genbear)

Owlstar narrowed her eyes at the tom, but she said nothing about what he had said. True, she should be angry with how he was acting, but she attempted to brush it off. "Alright. You're still leading the patrol however." She meowed. I want to see how he acts in high stress.. Its possible we could see stragglers of OakClan... She thought. (genbear)
Longpaw shook her head and meowed, "I can go now. I really don't fee like eating right now." The cat cat trotted over to catch up with her mentor. The cat made her feel safe, and she knew he was just looking after her. The cat seemed to perk up ever so slightly. I can do this, I can learn how to properly fight. I should know by now, but to be that scared. I need to be brave, and stop disrespecting those around me. Longpaw looked up at her mentor and nodded, "I can train until moon high if you want. The pain of being helpless when my clan needs me is so much more than a bit of hunger for a day."(✞~Spottedleaf ~✞)
The white tom bowed his head and rumbled, "As you wish, Owlstar." The cat turned back and called out, "Quietstep! Creamflgiht! Are you two ready?" His tail was lashing back and forth as he waited for those two. The cat glanced back at the pretty she-cat that would be going on patrol with them. I have to do this for both Fawnstep and myself. If something were to happen to Owlstar and she can't make it back to the clan, we've lost our leader, we have no deputy; the clan would fall into ruins. That, and many cats would begin to lose the will to continue on. You have no idea how important you are to many of us, Owlstar. I swear to Starclan, I will fight until my very last heart beat to make sure you get home safely.Terrible thoughts began to plagued his mind, still remembering how she lost a life last night. She died once last night. No way he was going to let that happen again. Whitestone looked back at the cat had given him courage for many moons; but today, as she insisted to go with the patrol, he felt uneasy and highly afraid. The cat didn't notice, but his tail started to bristle very slightly and his began to thump the ground. How many times had he put his life on the line? Why was it he was getting upset now? Then it hit him, It's not my life that I am afraid to lose, but those that are important to me. His tail stilled and he forced his fur to lie flat; now that he had figured out why he was irritated, all he could do is prove to himself that he was strong enough. (@xxdrwolfehxx ✖ʍousestar✖)
