Ben shrugged, smiling. "I'm going to become a doctor, though, so I don't mind." He told them, biting his lip. "What do you guys think you're going to do in the future?" He asked, eyes sparkling curiously.
After being nearly blinded by the Apollo cabin, Ria managed to reach her room, taking a moment to sort through her stuff. She didn't have too much packed, the most notable things were her spear and enough contact lenses to make it through the summer. She really needed to find a way to compress the spear into something small, a bunch of other campers had figured out how to do that. She'd have to ask one of them about it later. She hurried through the unpacking process as quickly as she could, shamelessly stuffing her things in drawers and under her bed.
"Last summer doesn't count. Some stuff happened, but it got fixed," Alex replied, feeling the blood on his fingers already. He would have loved the study the wound a bit, because it was interesting, but that'd be a bit hard with it being on himself. And he wasn't about to ask Marinette for a mirror. "Not to mention, my ribs got broken because I played human shield, so relax."
"I'm not sure yet, actually~" Joshua replied, running a hand through his hair. "I guess I'll go wherever the flow takes me." In all honesty, he had no idea yet. "But being a doctor sounds cool. Though, you also have a lot of responsibility."
"Whatever.... I can see you being stubborn enough to do something stupid like that." His insults were coming back, but they were much less harmful. He wanted to leave now, he seemed fine enough but in order to do that he did need to ask a question. Which he hated, because it sounded as if he was giving into Alex's earlier suggestions of help. "....Where's the Hades cabin...?" He muttered in that same tone as he had done when he first met them.
Ben nodded, but he was still smiling. "Yeah, but it'll be worth it. I'm going to have so many more years of school, though." He pouted, before looking back at Joshua. "I'm sure you'll figure something out in time. I mean, we're still teenagers. And you're younger than me by what... Two years?"
Alex smiled at that. "It's the pitch black cabin made out of obsidian. The cabins themselves aren't too far from here - just head northwest from here and you should see them soon." He paused for a moment before he pressed his hand stronger onto the wound. "And thanks, I do know that I'm stubborn!~" A part of him was excited that he finally knew which cabin the box belonged to, but at the same time, he had more important things to do right now.
"I think that's about correct. I'm 16," he replied, mischievous grin on his face by then. "Aren't you like 18? Geez, you're old~" It was obvious that he was only teasing him, which was one of the favorite activities Joshua had. Not to mention, if Ben asked like that, Joshua felt like he had to be a bit mean about it.
Ben stuck out his tongue, saying jokingly, "At least I'm not a super tall string bean." His comeback was weak, but it was hard to hear through his giggles. "Hm. It maybe you're a youngling noodle." Long, thin, a noodle.
Oliver grit his teeth and left without another word, not even a thank you or a sorry as he headed to the cabin as Alex directed. He would set his stuff in there and then find some place to read peacefully.
Marinette repressed the urge to yell some choice words at the kid but bit her tongue. "Come on, Alex. If we wait too long to get it wrapped Asher and Sanaa will kill us." She told him, giving him a little nudge to get him going.
With her belongings stuffed away, Ria made a casual pace back outside. She had left her spear in the cabin, but her dagger was tucked away in her jean's pocket. Just in case. She wasn't usually the best at planning ahead, but she felt more secure with some kind of weapon on hand.
Joshua snorted, but managed to put on a look of fake offense despite that. "Rude. I actually got more muscular! I can totally lift you off the ground if I continue on like this." A total lie, but Joshua was having too much fun.
Alex started walking at once, shrugging a bit while laughing. "I mean, unless I bleed all over the floor they never ever have to know of this, do they?" he asked Marinette with a hopeful look. Now that they were dating, Marinette wasn't wrong to add Asher onto the list of people who would kill them. Though, he didn't seem too concerned about Oliver's rude departure.
Ben scoffed, pouting. "No way you can. I'm so heavy, you wouldn't be able to lift me if you did Olympic weight training for a year. You're a noodle." There was a hint of a grin on Ben's face, and his tone was joking as he smiled at his friend.
"Asher's a bloodhound." She gave an annoyed sigh, "That idiot will spend so much time staring at you he'll notice if there's any bit of pain and be there in a second." She paused for a moment as a smile formed on her face, a perfect chance to embarrass Asher. "Yeah, he'll notice right away. You have no idea how many texts he sent me about you, it's so sweet it gives me a toothache." Maybe she'd even get an embarrassed reaction out of Alex from that statement.
Quinn hesitantly stepped in and placed his things down. It was intimidating, yet comforting at the same time. He liked the dark sleek look. Pulling out one of the books he stuffed in his bag, he headed back out, only pausing to check to see if he saw Marinette and Alex, and then continuing when he deemed it safe. He didn't want another run in with either of them for a long while.
Asher made his way to the Apollo cabin and reached his usual bed and just collapsed. He bet that Alex was here already but seeing him could wait for after a tiny nap. Worst comes to worst he would be woken up by Sanaa.
As Marinette had hoped, Alex ended up blushing a bright red at that, looking at his feet. "I, uh, I mean," he started with a stutter, then added, "Did he really?" Alex had missed him, despite not wanting to admit it, so hearing that was honestly kind of... sweet? Cute? Whatever. He glanced at his shirt for a moment, grimacing at the blood on there. "Also are you like going to wrap that, or should I wrap that, or what did you have planned?"
"If you say so~" Joshua said with a laugh. "Now shoo, go unpack and all that, we've been standing around enough here," he added, watching Freya yell at Brooke that she'd race her to their cabin. Oh man, he felt like he'd even missed those twins.
"I'll do it." She offered as they got there, motioning for him to sit as she searched for bandages. "Can you take off your shirt or do you need help?" She didn't really care about having to do it as Alex 'wasn't up to par of her standards.' She was purposefully avoiding the subject now that she mentioned it so he can think about it for a while on his own and let it embarrass him.
