Ben's jaw dropped. "A grandpa?" He asked, pouting and sticking his tongue out at Joshua. He then overdramatically tossed his hair, winking. "But I certainly don't look like a grandpa." He was joking, for sure, but it was all for laughs. He knew he definitely wasn't good looking, but joking about it at least made people laugh.
...
Umiko bit his lip, nodding. "Okay, Alex." He started, before continuing. "The Poseidon cabin, please. And.. Is there a pool around here?" He asked quietly, hoping that there certainly was at least somewhere to swim. Otherwise, he'd be losing camp real quick.
"Nah, you don't," Joshua agreed with a wink as well. As if he'd let Ben get the upper hand like this. Though, while it was fun, he added, "I think Manami should have some time to unpack now and then I'll show her around. Wanna meet up later again? If not we'll see each other at the campfire for sure~" Joshua honestly loved the campfires, and he couldn't wait until everybody was sitting around the fire again.
--
Alex got up with a smile, nodding to Marinette for a moment. "The Poseidon cabin? So you're a child of the big three? That's cool," he said with a smile, grabbing his bloody shirt off the bed. He'd have to hide that or wash it somewhere. "Well, let's go. See you later, Marie!" he called over his shoulder, using the name Asher always called her. It had been a slip of tongue, but Alex didn't correct himself, either.
Ben's cheeks flushed red, and he nodded. "Yeah, sounds good." He agreed smiling. "I'm going to go meet up with Riley." He told them, slinging his backpack over his arm and walking out the door without another word. Sighing, he decided to jog to his sister.
...
Umiko stepped out the door silently, looking toward Alex. Deciding to start a sort of conversation, he asked, "Do you have any siblings at camp?"
"Ugh. Oh gods." Ria cursed under her breath, lowering her head in a very poor attempt to hide the grin that spread across her face. She had a terrible poker face and she knew it. There wasn't any point in pretending otherwise. She looked back at Lucia, barely holding back a snicker. "Okay, how'd we lose the fleece this time?"
Alex looked over at Umiko as he spoke, beaming a bit at his question. "Yes, actually. Aside from the other children of Athena, I have a sister in the Apollo cabin. She's the head counselor, actually," he replied with a smile. It was very obvious how much Alex cared for her by the tone in his voice. Looking up at the sky, he said, "What about you? You'll get a sister on your father's side, but do you have any other siblings?" He wasn't sure yet if he knew of Riley, but hey.
Lucia acted as if she was thoughtful, though a few giggles managed to escape her mouth as she thought of something. She really wasn't good at acting. "I think Freya and Brooke might have burned it off," she said, laughing for real. Honestly, that could actually be expected of those two, which was kind of scary.
Ria made a very fake-sounding groan. She had to admit, it was kind of a funny mental image. From what little she knew of them, that sounded exactly like something the twins would do. “They couldn’t have waited until at least Friday to wreck the fleece? I was looking forward to playing Capture the Flag again. Cabin 5 was going to rule.” She said in a rueful tone, but the effect was undercut by the grin on her face.
Lucia grinned at that, tapping the handle of her sword. "Oh? You're mistaken, cabin 1 would surely win! I do excel at sword fighting, after all, so getting the fleece between that is very possible!" she said with a slight proud undertone. Lucia wasn't a very arrogant person, but she knew when to joke around. Not to mention, she was also aware that her skill in battle had improved a lot since she had come to the camp. "But I suppose we'll get our answer on Friday, then~ As long as the Athena cabin is on my side, everything should go according to plan."
The care in Alex's voice almost made Umiko smile. Almost. He nodded. "Yeah. Her name's Manami, daughter of Hecate. She went off with some boys, I think." He replied quietly, his voice dull when compared to the way Alex spoke. Honestly, his voice shook a bit when he said her name. After not seeing her for multiple years, it hurt to even spare her a glance. He looked down at his feet, ruffling his hair before turning back to Alex, waiting for his reply with an almost emotionless expression.
...
Manami pulled her bag into her lap, watching Ben go. That was a bit brisk. She thought to herself before dismissing the thought, turning to Joshua. "He looks a bit flustered." She said with a raised eyebrow. She then simply shrugged, saying, "Hope you don't mind that I'm staying here." She pulled her hair up and out of her face, tying it into a ponytail and unzipping her suitcase.
Ben decided to jog to go meet up with his sister, although he was rather tired and hadn't had anything to eat during the day, which certainly didn't help. Just like he expected, she was outside the cabin, trying to climb a tree. Shocker. He ran up to her, a little breathless as he looked at her inquisitively. But, instead of getting an answer, he got a raised eyebrow and half a glare. He stopped short, seeing her let go of the branch, landing on her feet as she hit the ground.
Riley stepped toward her brother, eyes narrowing as she asked, "Why are you running? You shouldn't be." He was about to protest/, but stopped. "I know you just ran from the other cabin, but you got, like, two hours of sleep and all you've had to eat is an apple and a granola bar." He tone was final, and wow, he felt like a child. "Get in the cabin and take a nap."

Scarlette's eyes follow the girl running, muttering a few choice words. Her brown hair was flicked over her shoulder, light blue eyes narrowed. ~~ Citrine "Where is Scarlette?" Jasmine asks Willow and Willow sighs. "Why don't you go look for her?" Willow asks and Hale looks down at the two girls. "I agree Jasmine. You're sister didn't look the happiest." Hale points out and Jasmine nods her head. "September, what did you do?" Jasmine turns and September blinks, her eyes shifting to the side. "I'd rather not say." She says quietly and Jasmine lunges forward. "I may leave the revenge to my sister, but I can give her people to deliver it to. Tell. Me. What. You. Said." Jasmine snarls and Justin blinks, then grips Jayce's arm. "Let her go, Jasmine." Hale blinks and Jayce rips his arm out of Justin's grip. "I'll go find her." Jayce sighs, turning around. Everyone freezes, and September wiggles out of Jasmine's grip.
Prue nodded as she had heard about the hunters of artemis which when she was younger seemed very cool at the time but now that she was older had different opinion on it, the mare became antsy from just standing around as Grimm liked to move around though she would wait for them to finish chatting and move on to the cabins where she was going to depart with them.
"What do you mean by lonely?" Masanori suddenly asked from where he went to stand next to the campers Nick and Percy who seemed like to be older brother figures though he would be patient to see if they would become friends as it took awhile to gain his trust since he had some bad experiences back in his former foster homes with other kids who were either older or younger then he.
"Hmm...my favorite memory? I have too many to count, but i guess, it would be the memory of meeting all you and making friends here on the forums. :3" ”One day I’m going to sit down and make a list of all the books that I finished reading....” “It's going to be a long list...”
There was a glimmer of mischief in Ria's hazel eyes. She snickered faintly. "Pfft, Lucia, the only way you're winning is if we're on the same team." She taunted jokingly, her head held high. Truth be told, whoever got Athena on their side was probably the one more likely to win, but that wasn't any fun to admit.
Alex glanced over at him, not losing his smile. While Umiko was emotionless, Alex seemed to just radiate with them at times, even though he hated that fact. "I'm guessing one of the boys was Joshua, he's the counselor of the Hecate cabin. No worries, she'll be fine." He closed his mouth for a moment, suddenly remembering that he had completely ignored one of Umiko's questions from before. Alex hoped he hadn't just been too nice to repeat it. While he was smart, he tended to sometimes let his mind wander, which was never a good thing, because Asher could catch him off-guard all the time during those moments.
"To your question about a pool being here. Well, it's not really a pool, but you can go swimming in the lake or sea," he added, shrugging a bit. "Wouldn't be surprised if Riley and a few other campers do that, too." Alex himself wasn't big on swimming, because he had never really learned it. He could do it, sure, but he just preferred staying out of the water to tan.

Joshua glanced back, raising an eyebrow. "Did he? I probably just embarrassed him," he said with a chuckle, then shook his head. "I don't mind you staying with me~ Now, come on, let's go inside." He opened the door after that, stepping inside before tossing some things he'd put on another bed off. As he was staying the whole year, he had more clothes at the camp than most. And, surprisingly enough, a book could be found on Joshua's own bed.
He laughed a bit, not really seeming embarrassed by the somewhat chaos in the cabin. "I'll clean up a bit at a later date, sorry."
Nick turned to Masanori with a smile. "The children of the big three are usually very lonely, because we barely have siblings. For me, it also was because I had to stay the whole year at first, as I didn't want to return to foster care at all, considering my parents are gone. I live with my aunt in California now, though, so it's all good," he explained. After all these years, Nick had no trouble talking about all of it. He was calm and didn't even sound sad, because he'd honestly moved on a bit after all these years. Rather, he wanted to make sure nobody else had to go through what had happened to him.
A noble thought, but even he knew that that would be hard, even though he was considered a genius. While he had noticed Grimm getting a bit antsy, he didn't comment about it, figuring that Prue would notice it as well.
A glint also entered Lucia's eyes as she took a step backwards. "Are you issuing a challenge right now?" she asked with a grin. "Be careful, I might just take you up on the challenge. I'll beat you without us being on the same team!" The camp had only just begun and she already had something to look forward to? Wow. Lucia hadn't expected that so soon, but she wasn't going to complain. There was a reason she loved Ria, and the small 'competitions' between them were exactly that reason.
"It's on, then?" Ria said in an almost sing-song tone, her smile wide. Challenges with Lucia were one of the many things she'd missed. She stood up straight, remembering for the hundredth time how great it was to be back at camp. You couldn't challenge your friends to war games back home. "Victory goes to whoever wins the next round of Capture the Flag?"
Umiko nodded, and one could see his eyes sparkle as he thought of swimming. He looked at the ground, hair covering his eyes a bit. "I see. Thank you." He said, making happy eye contact, which was as close as he was going to get to a smile. Despite not really thinking too much of it, it was nice that Alex had the patience to your him around, considering his rather introverted personality.
...
Manami shrugged, tossing her bag on the now empty bunk before sitting on it. "I don't really mind a mess, honestly." She said with a laugh, looking around the room." It looked homey, and she was glad she was staying with somebody nice, and not a demigod she couldn't get along with. That would be a nightmare.
Lucia beamed, extending her hand to seal the deal. "It's on. Let's try splitting the big three up evenly, though. I'm not sure how many new campers we have of those this year, but, y'know, we could try." Beside the Athena cabin with their strategies, the big three children were among the most powerful demigods, so Lucia found it only right to try and make the teams as evenly matched as possible. Not to mention, the thought of fighting a team that was on par with the other one excited her. She'd have to be more on alert, she'd have to fight harder, so, simply put, she couldn't wait.
(Flicker ) (I swear the capture the flag game will end in a flat out war.xD)
Alex shook his head slightly. "Nothing to thank me for, but still, you're welcome." He saw the Poseidon cabin already coming up and kept a look out for Riley, but couldn't see her. Oh well, he hoped she wouldn't mind them just entering. "I'm not too big on swimming, but if you need some quiet company, I could give you that by coming along to tan a bit. Gods know I don't need it, but I find it relaxing to sleep at the lake," he admitted with a laugh. Without waiting for a reply for now, he pointed at the cabin with the corals. "So, that's your cabin. Riley is also living there, but I can't see her right now."
--
Joshua laughed, tossing some more clothes onto a pile. "I'm glad! I'm not a very tidy person," he admitted sheepishly with a smile. After moving a few things together, he let himself fall back onto his bed, watching Manami from there. "Once you've put all your things away we could go to the dining pavilion. It's still a bit early, but dinner shouldn't be too far from now." He hadn't even noticed how late it already was until he had glanced at a clock. Time really flew by when his friends were there.
