I had run, day and night from my clan. Everything was ruined! The new leader, Splashstar, is planning on destroying all of the clans beside our own. I needed to get out of there. I ran so far, I couldn't remember what the moors looked like anymore. But then my vision got blurry, and I fell. Then everything fell dark. "Wake up! Are you ok?" Said a voice.  "Who's there?" I said, forgetting that I ran from home and that Proudstar died. "My name is Mist. You look hurt, do you need help?" My eyes flew open and I got to my paws.  "Please don't hurt me!" I pleaded. "I'm just passing through!" Mist chuckled. "Why would I hurt you? You aren't doing any harm!" I paused for a second, then suddenly fell.  "Woah! Ok, I'm honestly concerned for you." Mist put his paw on my head. "Oh my, your'e burning up! Let me get you some water." Then he raced away, only to come back a few moments later with some moss soaked with water. "Drink this, it should help with your fever." I did as told. "This water tastes foul!" I complained. "That's because I also put some feverfew juice in it." He explained. "Oh." I looked down, embarrassed, and continued drinking the foul water. Mist looked at me. "So, what's your name?" He asked. "Rockshadow." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~What should Mist say next? A. Once your'e done drinking, lets go to where me and my friends live! B. You should rest for a while, tell me when you feel better. C. So, where are you from? I've never seen you before. |

(Because no one chose, I'll just use random.org) Random.org chose... A. Once your'e done drinking, lets go to where me and my friends live! "Once your'e done drinking, lets go to where me and my friends live!" Mist suggested. I looked at him, thinking for a long moment. "Alright, there should be shelter there." I quickly finished my water, and he led me down some path made by little rocks.  "How far is it?" I asked. Mist thought for a moment. "I'd say a few more minutes." After a little more walking, I saw the den he was talking about. He flicked his tail, signaling for me to follow, then led me inside. I saw 3 other cats. "These are Duskwillow, Pine and Frost."  I waved my tail in greetings. "Who is this?" Duskwillow said in a harsh tone. "Now now, Duskwillow." Mist pleaded. "Don't be rude to our visitor!" Frost bounded toward me. "Hello!" She said in a high pitched voice. "Whats your name?" "I'm Rockshadow." Mist padded up beside me. "Duskwillow, Frost, I want you to make a nest for Rock." He paused for a bit, realizing his mistake. "Sorry, I mean Rock shadow." Duskwillow snorted with annoyance, then the two bounded away. "Pine doesn't really talk much." Mist explained to me in a quiet whisper. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What should Rockshadow do next? A. Introduce herself to Pine. B. Offer to go hunting, seeing how little prey they have. C. Ask if she could lay down. |

B. Offer to go hunting, seeing how little prey they have.  I turned to Mist. "I should go get some prey, you don't have that much." Mist shook his head. "No, your sick. Plus, you are out guest!" I looked into Mist's yellow eyes. "I don't want to be a guest, I want to live here." I announced. "If I am to live here, I need to help." Mist paused for a bit, then looked at his paws. "You... want to live here?" He echoed. I tilted his head up to look into my eyes with my paw. "Yes, there is no better place to live. New friends, well sheltered, everything I could ask for!" Mist waited for a second. "Alright." He mewed at last. "When Duskwillow and Frost come back I'll tell them to make you a den. Stay safe!" With that, I went through the entrance of my new home. I searched for a while, and caught a lot of prey. 2 thrush, 2 rabbits, 3 mice and a squirrel! I then headed back, but was stopped when I heard something in the distance.  "Help! Someone! Please!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What should Rockshadow do next? A. Bury the prey and go towards the voice. B. Run home as fast as she can C. Ignore it, and walk home peacefully |

A.Bury the prey and go towards the voice. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I quickly put down the prey I have gathered, buried them, then headed towards the voice.  I soon came across a tall ravine, only to see a cat dangling from the side. "Pine!" I shouted as I raced over to her and pulled her into the ground.  "Thank... you..." She said slowly as blood rushed through a big gash in her throat. I quickly pulled her only my back and raced home, not bothering to pick up the prey. As soon as I entered, I heard a terrified screech. "Pine!" Mist yowled. "Rockshadow, what happened?" I quickly told him the story as I set Pine down. "She said she was getting herbs... I'm so mouse-brained! I knew she was blind, but didn't bother going with her!" He sat down and looked at Pine, the only signal that she was alive was the faint rise and fall of her flank, which was quickly slowing. Blind? I thought but quickly pushed it away. "What should we do?" Asked Frost from behind me. "She can't die!" Duskwillow gasped. "She is our medicine cat!" Pine slowly looked up at Mist. "Im... sorry, Mist... Its my... time... to go... into..... endless....... sleeping........" "No!" Mist yowled. "You cant die! Please!" But there was no hope left for her, for she had already stopped breathing.  "Please..." Mist breathed, bowing his head to Pine's body. "I love you Pine, and I always will." At that, Frost and Duskwillow padded up and sat beside Pine, as did I. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What should happen next? A. Frost and Duskwillow slowly go back to building Rockshadow's den. B. Rockshadow slowly goes collect the prey she left. C. Stay beside Pine. |
