A. Investigate the twoleg shelter~~
Aspenstripe followed Pop anxiously, unsure what to expect. Pop was the opposite; he seemed excited to revisit a twoleg place. Kittypets stay kittypets.
Pop: "This is so soft! Better than sleeping on a pile of leaves."
Aspenstripe: "Smell that? I think we're not alone here... let's leave before something comes after us!"
Pop: "I'm not leaving! What if these twolegs had cats living with them? They could have food!"
Aspenstripe: "Where's the food stored?"
Pop: "Hmm... let me look!"
Pop jumped off the sofa and walked to another room. The door had a small gap in it, so he pawed it open wide enough for them to fit through. The smell was getting stronger, which made Aspenstripe even more anxious. His tail puffed from fear and he unleashed his claws in case of danger.
A dog. It was only a sleeping dog. A large one, though, and probably hungry and vicious.
Pop: "Hey, it's a stinky dog!"
Aspenstripe: "Shh, don't wake it up!"
Pop: "He looks old. I doubt he's going to be of any danger to us."
Aspenstripe: "Cats die from dog attacks every year, I'm not risking it!"
Pop: "He's asleep. Now, see any food storages?"
Aspenstripe: "I don't even know what any of these things are!"
Pop: "Use your nose. Try to smell something out."
The dog twitched in his sleep, as if he were half awake, or having some vivid dream. Aspenstripe was ready to run away any moment, but he feared that Pop would stay behind. Pop had knowledge of the twoleg place that he could use in order to find food and possibly protection.
Aspenstripe: "Let's go, he's waking up!"
Pop: "Nah, we're good."
Aspenstripe: "He moved! He will eat us both!"
Pop: "He could be friendly. Believe it or not, I've met a few friendly pups in my life."
Aspenstripe: "No! Let's leave! Do you think there are any other kittypets around here that could help us?"
Pop: "Possibly, if they were too cowardly to run away to the forest."
The chatter eventually woke the dog up. The canine was old and his hearing and sense of smell had weakened, but he managed to smell out the cats in the room. He stared at them for a good second before letting out a quiet growl. Aspenstripe hissed.
