-Petalclan she-cats are forbidden to have mates with toms, but females are acceptable. In order to keep their ranks high, every month they send one she-cat to Groundclan to mate with a tom and stay in their Nursery. After the kits are born they take all the females suitable to join Petalclan.
-The medicine cat in Groundclan is not allowed a mate, but a she-cat in Petalclan is allowed only one mate in her lifetime. After that she is not allowed to mate again.
