I took my first coding class in high school. It really helped me out for college coding classes, I feel like. Even though the syntax varies a little from language to language, it's relatively similar to where you could figure out what does what.

I really think it's annoying how people judge you when you choose something that they wouldn't do. Maybe I stink at math, so don't say I should major in Engineering.
I'm not good with a computer, but I am okay with lab equipment. So... No computer science for me.

It should be about what you're interested in not what others are.

I agree. No one's ever told me "don't do this" or "do this," but I can tell that some people aren't too happy with my choice to major in Computer Science. I don't understand why, because some of the highest paying jobs are in that field and it's what I'm interested in.

Yeah, the most important thing is that you're interested in it. Honestly, that's what kept me from deciding on a job for a long time, because I was afraid I'd get bored of it. But in the end, I did pick what I first thought of for real in 8th grade, funnily enough lol.

Yeah, even when I was, like, six, I knew I wanted to do something to do with animals. I was planning on being a marine biologist for a while, but me and my mom agreed that I would do better with pets and farm animals like horses and cows. Even though she still disagreed with me being in the biology field.

I changed a lot from what I wanted to do over the years. Up until 8th grade, I wanted to bake for my career. That changed after my 14th birthday, when I baked like 8 dozen cupcakes in one night to bring to school. No idea why we baked that many. It probably wasn't necessary.
Then, I wanted to do something related to film and video making. I wanted to do that because I'd been doing YouTube videos for a long time. However, I then decided that I would rather keep that as a hobby and not a job.
Honestly, it was after I started talking to Falconstar when I began to think about going into a technology related field. He was a pretty big inspiration on me, and he still is. He's one of the biggest reasons why I decided to go into Computer Science.

Untold Tales was the original ting that made me consider majoring in Computer Science. After I learned that it was made in RPG Maker XP, I thought, "Hey, making games and stuff like that sounds pretty cool, why don't I do that?" Even though Computer Science isn't easy, it still interests me. After going to school for a while, I think it'll get easier for me, anyway.

It was made in Game Maker, actually.
There's so much more you can do with a Computer Science degree.

I'll probably go into something that has to do with.. I don't know. I should probably start figuring things out, but I'm not sure. I wanted to become a lawyer, and I still kind of do, but I'm not sure if that's the best option for me.

You still have time to figure it out. You don't really even have to be decided when you get to college either. People major in general studies.

Oh, it was made in Game Maker? I'd always thought it was made in XP, since all of the sprites are from there. And yeah, you can do a lot in Computer Science. It's pretty convenient. And Scarlette, good luck with deciding! I think you should do whatever job interests you the most.

I'm officially almost done with school. I have a little less than a month, and the next two weeks are just testing.
