I'm voting A, "Y-yes, I was, it wasn't bad eavesdropping though! I was just curious about what you all were talking about" (I know it doesnt really matter since u already started working on the next part (probably?) but still XD JUST LETTING YALL KNOW MY OPINION.)
Sunset Blaze stood there for a few moments. Dark Sun only blinked, waiting for a reply. Sunset Blaze couldn’t read his expression. “...Yes... Yes I did,” Sunset Blaze answered. Dark Sun sighed, tipping his head slightly. Sunset Blaze thought for a few more moments. “I… I don’t think I heard much,” He said slowly in a whisper, noticing Dark Sun’s tail twitching slightly, “I heard something about Misty Sun asking about cats in the ambush first, if that says much,” Sunset Blaze told the dark tom. Dark Sun hummed, in thought. He narrowed his silver eyes. His face twitched, looking as if it was darkening to the shade of his pelt. Sunset Blaze didn’t feel any sort of fear. Should he be scared? “You shouldn’t do that again in case you get caught… Or hear something more confidential. Luckily, I don’t care if anyone eavesdrop,” Dark Sun chuckled. Sunset Blaze blinked. What? “Really, one of these days I wish the whole entire clan would listen in on a conversation with me and Alpine Echo,” He sighed. “What. Why?” Sunset Blaze questioned, although a bit too loud. Dark Sun widened his eyes, “Too loud, too loud,” He glanced around. Misty Sun was waiting for Creek Song across the den. The rest were still sleeping. “We’re moving to talk somewhere else,” Dark Sun suggested, whispering in Sunset Blaze’s ear.
Sunset Blaze hesitantly agreed, being led into an empty room off the main cave. It was smaller, and it looked as if it was a room that had at one point been used for injured cats, or even sick cats. “I don’t particularly like Alpine Echo. I get he’s my father and ArcaneClan’s leader, but… He isn’t respectable as a father, or a leader,” Dark Sun explained. Sunset Blaze nodded, “Let me guess, family drama?” He asked. The dark tom’s eyes darkened. “Not… Not really, it’s more…” Dark Sun stammered. He seemed a bit caught off-guard, even though he was paying complete attention. Or… Was he paying attention really? Sunset Blaze couldn’t tell. “You really don’t remember much, do you?” Dark Sun stared directly into the orange-and-white tom’s eyes. Something about him didn’t feel right. “No, of course not, I’m practically new to a lot of this stuff,” Sunset Blaze answered, “Although… I suppose I know more than when I initially woke up with barely a single bit of recollection of anything,” Dark Sun nodded, “Yeah, yeah… Well,” His voice lowered, “You see, ArcaneClan is... Doomed, to say the least. Everyone here may seem nice, but once you step out of line… You’re dead.” Dark Sun explained. “You’re lucky to still be alive, besides those wounds that were inflicted upon you… Barely anyone leaves without a fight. It’s tradition. No mercy is in our blood. We give no mercy. Traitors? Dead. You’re worthless? Can’t hunt? Can’t even fight? Oh? You are sensitive? Oh? What’s that? Are you injured? You’ll get thrown away. It’s why we’re so low. Not only are we being attacked by them, but our numbers are dwindling from our stupid pathetic rules,” Dark Sun snapped, getting incredibly passionate. “Not like you’d care. You don’t even remember the friendship we had,” He growled, “The ruined friendship,” Dark Sun stopped. He sighed. Sunset Blaze couldn’t say a word. He was stunned. “You’re only a small part of the cat you used to be anyway,” He dug his claws into the ground. Sunset Blaze stood there confused. “What do you mean?” Sunset Blaze finally asked. The confusion still overwhelmed him. The dark tom was tense. He didn’t say a word in reply. “What…” Sunset Blaze was going to repeat before he was cut off. “I’m done talking to you, this is pointless,” Dark Sun sighed, walking off in a hurry. Sunset Blaze stepped forward to follow, but he didn’t know if he should or not.

Update may be late, decided to go back and edit old updates, because my mind was like "Y'know, you rewrote character info and crap 1000000 times, the old updates probably make 0 sense now"
Reading back probably will be a treat when I finish. For those who haven't completely read this yet, it will finally make sense.
(Can confirm that I went in with 0 plans or anything)
Last Edit: Mar 22, 2021 9:59:52 GMT -5 by 𝙼𝚄𝚇𝙰: I typed this late at night when my brain was feeling incredibly squishy so I forgot latest meant the soonest and not the most late date of time
maybe in the sun you'll see formerly ginger/flame/mookie
The orange-and-white tom was confused, but he knew he should follow Dark Sun. Well, I’m not done talking to you… He thought while nearly stumbling after the silver eyed tom.
“Wait!” Sunset Blaze called out to Dark Sun. They were in the middle of camp at this point, and it was empty. Dark Sun stopped. His breathing was quick, quicker than before. He didn’t want to continue the conversation, yet Sunset Blaze was trying to continue it.
“We’re not done with that conversation,” Sunset Blaze moved closer to the tom, who refused to turn around. “We are,” Dark Sun growled, turning around, although slowly turning around. “Why won’t you explain yourself? Explain everything to me. I’m not going to remember if I don’t get an ounce of an answer from anyone,” Sunset Blaze told him. Dark Sun sighed. “If only,” He said simply, “If only it was that easy,” “What do you mean? Why won’t anyone give me direct answers!” Sunset Blaze blurted out. Dark Sun didn’t flinch as if he expected this. He didn’t try to say anything else. “See? They just go quiet. The only remotely useful person has been Moss Stone, or I mean… Night Stream too, in her own weird way- But still! No one has given me any information besides my name, reminding me how to fight, giving me hunting tips,” He continued. Dark Sun sighed. The orange-and-white tom calmed down. He looked Dark Sun in the eyes. He isn’t saying anything… He’s just accepting this.
Why.
His thoughts were cut short when he heard someone moving nearby. Dark Sun was still standing in front of him, not saying a word. It was Night Stream. She had just arrived with some prey to stock up the pile. The two cats turned to look at her.
did night stream shrink
“Oh, uh, hey?” The dark apprentice said with a muffle, tilting her head. She dropped the prey into the pile. “Am I disturbing something?” Night Stream asked. Why does she sound diff- “No,” Dark Sun spoke up, “We’re just talking, that’s all,” He fake smiled at Sunset Blaze, who didn’t return the smile whatsoever. “Right, right, let Moss Stone know I’m back so she won’t worry,” Night Stream purred a laugh, “Oh! I should bring some prey to the injured cats! Do you think Misty Sun would like that?” She asked. Sunset Blaze and Dark Sun glanced at each other for a second, “... Probably,” Sunset Blaze shrugged, “I wouldn’t know,” Night Stream nodded and grabbed a squirrel and a mouse from the pile and bounded over to the Spirit-Talker’s den. The silence returned once more.

No screenshot this time, didn't really want to make one..................... Besides, nothing has actually changed anyway haha
A
His wounds stung but he didn’t want to go rest, not yet. Sunset Blaze didn’t want Dark Sun to run off. He still wanted to talk to him a little bit, “So, about uh…” Sunset Blaze thought of something to bring up or just talk about, “Night Stream. I heard stuff that I forgot about her… You know, you and Moss Stone,” He shifted his paws awkwardly. The dark tom looked at him with his silver eyes. Conflict was spread over his face, as well as masked… Panic? Why is he- “Oh, yeah,” Dark Sun finally said, “Let me guess, Moss Stone told you?” He guessed. Sunset Blaze nodded. “Yeah, makes sense she would bring it up…” Dark Sun stared off in thought. “Night Stream is kinda weird-” Sunset Blaze spoke in a low tone, “I don’t mean it… In a rude… Sort of way… She’s an interesting character, I suppose,” He stumbled over his words. Dark Sun muffled out a laugh, “Pfft, yeah,” He agreed, “We found her one day and she was just… It was like she was seeing ghosts,” Sunset Blaze almost jumped when he heard ‘seeing ghosts’. He turned his head to look over at the spirit-talkers’ den. Dark Sun mimicked his action. He was curious why he was looking that way. “Really?” Sunset Blaze finally said. “Seeing ghosts? N…o… I mean, I don’t know,” Dark Sun thought, laughing between words. Sunset Blaze looked back at Dark Sun. Dark Sun clearly looked more uncomfortable than before. Sunset Blaze would’ve never thought that he’d see a tom like him so uncomfortable. The dark tom always had a kind of… Threatening and cold haze around him. “Wait- Are you just talking to me to ask about Night Stream?” He laughed. “Well, no… I’m just eh… Wanting to talk to you, that’s all,” Sunset Blaze shook his head, “It just happened that the first thing I wanted to bring up was her,” He laughed. Dark Sun shrugged. Should I… Bring up Night Stream’s conversation with Alpine Echo? Sunset Blaze thought.
Decided to put a little something here~ These are all of the planned books Essentially they are all standalone, but they do have somewhat of an order to them They all take place before the events in DL so you're technically already reading out of order HAHA This is the order I'll be writing them in yes the clan symbols mean something - Fire and Ice - The Plague's Greed - Destruction of Defeat - Blinding Light - Twisted Visions - Before the Darkness
btw when I rewrite DL as a book I may split it up into 2 to 3 books, depending if I feel like the story flows better split up into multiple instead of one
