“Ye-Yes s-sir....” Kaliah replied to the guard’s questions which she tried to stay calm as possible but you could tell that she was nervous by her stutter, she was curious of course why the dung-stained guard was questioning only did it dawn on her that they were attacked by a earl’s daughter who wasn’t all that friendly. Then again the guard in question was elf in origin but old enough to be one of the more senior of the guards- yet he must have some pain resistance because his shoulder was still bleeding. “U..uhh... your sh...shoulder is...bleeding...”
“I ask, because the Queen wishes to speak to both of you.” The elf guard replied back quickly as this was an urgent case to be so close to the royal monarch of the land Andy the needed to keep things on the downlow, for if their ‘allies’ empires saw a chance of taking precious land then they might as well try. “Oh, quite right about that miss.... I’ll have it looked at soon, now-“ his gaze glanced to the side when another guard approached them. “You there, Master-Guard? Please escort these two to the queen’s library.” He would probably do it himself if not for... well he rather not bleed on accident in the presence of the queen nor.... be the object smelling terrible in the room.
“Do you think you can walk? If not I can get a sleigh of some sort for you to sit on.” Ralph asked politely when the centaur suddenly fell to his knee(?) and logically they couldn’t carry a centaur- even if you yourself were one without breaking a bone? Impossible but a sled option would suffice... the ground wasn’t that difficult to navigate and they weren’t that far from the town. She didn’t want to accidentally offend her new ally however she was being practical on the matter.

Ross glanced at his friend for a quick moment, his light green eyes filled with apprehension, to see how she felt about being called for by Queen Elaine. During his time working for the castle, he had never been requested for by the queen - probably because he hadn't done much to stand out during his time. But even though he was a social person, the thought of speaking to the monarch of the kingdom terrified him. At the same time, it was sort of an honor.
Ross turned his head to the Master Guard and forced himself to keep calm. After all, he didn't want to mess up in front of the queen.

"No no, I'm sure I'm fine." Oliver quickly replied. "I'll just get in a house and patch myself up." Besides, no offence to the lot of you, but I don't think you guys would manage to carry a centaur...on a sleigh? Though standing back up the pain seems to worsen. "Thanks for offering though." He gave a short laugh. He'll just have to fight through it Lily~Myth
Kaliah nearly gasped in surprise which also the smell coming from the ‘mud’ soldier wasn’t helping much, she never spoke to the queen before in person and only did she see their monarch from a distance or a passing glance from walking past the hall. She spent most of her time working in the castle keeping her head down as she worked more with the other staff that were closer to visiting nobility, merchants and such.
“Let us get going.” The Master-Guard spoke to the two members of the castle staff with a hand motion for them to come, then the guard walking away from them and going towards one section of the castle that most of the castle staff knew was a shortcut to the royal library. She didn’t wait for a response from them either as the guard had a duty to do and she was going to follow through.
“Well, your still getting an escort back.” Ralph replied with her own stubbornness coming out as he risked his life to save both hers and her little child who was still within the village, the soldiers around them had spread out a little- more in the direction of where the lion-man had disappeared off into. more likely they are looking for both the affected.... and if anyone lose that might be harmed or.... are affected themselves... she thought to herself then looking back at Oliver. “Let’s get you cleaned up then.”

Ross shuffled along behind the Master-Guard with his hands in his pockets and his eyes darting from side to side. Anxiety tied a knot in the pit of his stomach as he continued to worry about hopefully not making a fool of himself in front of Queen Elaine. The elf sidestepped so that he was closer to his friend and could make some small talk. He asked in a whisper, "Is it your first time talking to the queen too?"
Kaliah swiftly followed after the Master-Guard alongside her friend down the hallway that was of course lighted quite nicely by the magical torches that would instantly lit up when it became dark, however the idea of meeting with their monarch of the kingdom they reside... it was an honor yet downright terrifying. “Yeah....” she admitted quietly in response to Rosse’s question which she glanced over at the guard who apparently was quick in their step and was already at the library’s door waiting for them- she could hear the guard knock upon the wooden door to show that they were there.

Ross stopped in his steps as he realized that they were at the library, and that they were going to speak to the queen any minute now. His blood froze as the horror soaked in. "Well, let's hope that we don't do anything stupid," he murmured as a half-joke as he let out a soft awkward chuckle. He had hoped that the joke would help him relax and fell more confident. Unfortunately, he still didn't feel ready.
Kaliah stood beside her friend which she did smile a little at his joke yet she was still nervous upon meeting their beloved ruler, the guard peeled into the room then took position outside of the doorway. “The Queen will speak with you two now.” He stated in a rather nonchalant way as he left the door open for them and would probably close it behind them once they went through.
Elaine was sitting behind a large, wooden oak desk which she had changed from her ‘royal’ garb to that of a pair of leather trousers, a long cotton button up shirt with leather boots. “Come In.” She spoke with her looking up from the pile of books that were littered upon the table and putting down a magnifying glass with her turning her attention to where the two staff ,embers- witnesses to the affected attack enter in to tell their story.

Ross took a few deep breaths as he began to take slow steps into the room. He realized that it was oddly silent in the library - though that was normal for this kind of room - and was intimidated by the lack of sound. Noise had always made him feel home, as it reminded him that life was going on. But he was always scared by when he couldn't hear anything.
The cook approached the desk where the queen was sitting at and gave her a bow of respect. As he returned to normal posture, he still kept his gaze on the floor. It was terrifying enough to be so close to the queen, but he was definitely unwilling to try to make eye contact.
Kaliah entered the room with her moving to stand beside her friend in front of the large desk, she bowed in respect to the queen which she couldn’t help but feel even more scared- maybe facing another infected person then standing before their ruler. She kept her gaze respectful to the stone ground that felt cold which would be nice during the hot summer months yet either way she didn’t like the cold at all, the library was a place where she would go to occasionally dust the room or serve tea to busting nobles.
“No need to bow, please take a seat.” Queen Elaine spoke to the two and with her motioning to two chairs that were beside the desk for them to sit in. “You Both have been through a lot this afternoon.” She added which she sounded tired and she had slightly visible bags under her eyes from late nights of working. I won’t rest until this.... whatever this curse is....is gone she thought to herself despite her council members disagreeing and one had been threatened to lock her out of the library.

Ross gave a quick nod as he sat down on a wooden chair by the desk. He lifted his gaze toward the queen to give her the impression that he was listening, which he was. "Yes, Your Majesty," he confirmed with another bob of his head.
Kaliah sat in the other chair which she slowly looked up at the ruler who was watching them but not in a ‘I am holier than thou’ kind of way but more of a ‘hey let’s chat over drinks’ kind of way that did make her feel less nervous however she wondered if her nerves were already gone from facing a noble lady who wanted to at them. “Y-Yes ma’am- your Majesty.” She stuttered once more.
“Mr.Ross, Miss Kaliah.... no need for such formalities please.” Elaine say up a little in her chair which all the chairs in the library were cushioned so they were quite comfy however despite taking the throne so that a tyrannical noble wouldn’t- being the ruler wasn’t all quite.... as what she thought it would be, and it didn’t help that most of the those who wanted to be nice to her where only pretending nobles who wanted more privileges or a higher ranking or whatever which they mostly tried to use formality as a means. “Now down to business this, can you please recount everything that happened?”

Ross gave a nod of his head as he silently decided to not mention the fact that the two of them were planning to prank an unsuspecting guard. "We were taking a stroll around the outside of the castle," he began, "when Cyania approached us from behind. She screeched a couple of times, and I think we both lost focus for a little while. Kaliah whacked her away with her tail and then we both began bolting away. We saw guards come over, and we kind of just stayed away from the fight."
As he was talking, he used hand gestures to emphasize his points subconsciously. He then looked up at the queen at last. "That was basically it."
Kaliah nodded in agreement with what her friend was saying, “also Cyania was covered in blood when came to us... was anyone else hurt? And what about Cyania..... She was screeching after we got away then she stopped..... is....is she.....?” The lamia added in with part of the story however it turned into a questionnaire with her asking about if anyone was injured or killed granted she was somewhat worried about the siren- ok, that lady tried to kill the, but she wasn’t sure if she had harmed her with that swing.
Elaine listened to both of them tell the story which sounded the same as the guards expect they had arrived on seen, “I see..... for what you two should know, the rumors are all true about it..... the way you described it was exactly how the other.... incidents have occurred.” She started to speak with her briefly glancing over at the pile of notes she had covering the table along with the books. “Cyania injured several guards, all are healing up in the infirmary.... as with Cyania herself, she is back to normal.... she is currently sleeping.”

"...Of course..." He didn't want to cause no trouble, but if it makes her feel better, he isn't really going to deny it. "Right." He forces out a smile as he half hobbled half walked with her back towards the inn. He hoped this isn't going to be... affected infected... (idk how affected/infected works-)
