Yeah. I have had a lot of people who are fine say thank you, but when they don't look well, they tend not to talk at all.

I guess some people put a facade that they're fine out so people don't baby them.

Yeah, that's understandable.

People want to stay strong appearing, when they're not.

I was the person showing up to school sick a lot in high school. By a lot I don't mean that often, but it was at least for a few days out of each year. I only stayed home for sickness in 2014 (11th grade for me). I didn't like admitting to my parents that I wasn't feeling good

When I stay home sick, I feel like I'm faking it.

I really only stayed home in 11th grade because I kinda got caught. In all fairness, though, my temperature was close to 103 when they found out.

I don't go to school even with the slightest fever. My parents won't let me.

My parents made me stay if my temperature was over 100. But, I was pretty good at not saying anything. I literally went to school with a 102 temperature in 9th grade. My temperature stayed above 100.5 for about a week, and I said nothing and didn't get caught.

I feel terrible whenever I'm sick, and my parents always know.

I'm a terrible patient when I'm sick. But the main reason I hid it and kept going to school with bad fevers like that was because I was trying to get through high school without missing a single day. It didn't fail until I was about halfway through my junior year.
When I get sick enough to miss school though, I tend to get really sick. So if I'm home from school sick, it's probably bad.

I got strep throat once. I went to school though. Vomiting and staying home were rare, but still happening

I was always kept at home if I had a fever or if I was throwing up. Otherwise, I had to go to school.
