D. Explore the outside area a bit more first
~~
As much as Kestrel was determined to explore the cave further, he gave in. He didn't want to put Silverfoot in danger, who knows what could be lurking inside that cave?
The two circled around the camp and came across a frozen pond. It seemed hard enough to walk on, and they instantly ran across.
Kestrel: "Race you to the island!" Silverfoot: "You're on!"
The ice was slippery and fun, the two laughed as they slid across back and forth between the shore and the tiny island in the middle.
Silverfoot bumped into Kestrel, knocking him over. They ran out of breath quickly, but didn't want to stop.
Silverfoot: "Need help?" Kestrel: "No, I'm good!"
Silverfoot laughed as Kestrel struggled to get back up on his feet. Leaf-bare, although cold and scarce on prey, was a fun season. As long as Silverfoot's Clan didn't find out, he could spend as much time with Kestrel as he wanted to.
They climbed to the island to rest for a bit. Suddenly, a fox appeared on the other side of the pond. The fox stood completely still, not breaking eye contact with the cats.
Silverfoot: "Kestrel..." Kestrel: "Shh, it will go away." Silverfoot: "It's looking at us!" Kestrel: "I'll distract it, you attack it from behind." Silverfoot: "No, let's get out of here! A fox can easily take on two cats!" Kestrel: "Trust me, we can defeat it!" Silverfoot: "This is too risky, one of us will end up getting badly injured. Let's leave!"

Cats are maybe just a little bit smaller than foxes. So D or C, if it approaches, hissing will probably scare it off if you puff up your fur enough.

C. Hide behind the rocks until the fox leaves
~~
Kestrel didn't have time to think, and whispered to Silverfoot to hide. Unfortunately, the fox was not dumb enough to fall for that, and pounced at them. The fox was incredibly fast, despite the ice being slippery. The cats ran away in fear.
The ice could not bear their weights and cracked. The fox, being the heaviest, fell in first, and Silverfoot barely managed to escape.
The ice underneath him began to crack as well. The fox was struggling to get out of the cold water, only cracking the ice more as he grabbed onto the edges. Kestrel was the only one who made it to the other side.
Silverfoot: "Kestrel!" Kestrel: "Silverfoot! Jump across!" Silverfoot: "No, I won't make it!"
Kestrel had to decide fast.
-- A. Go help Silverfoot B. Tell Silverfoot to run across quickly before the ice breaks C. Tell Silverfoot to crawl across slowly D. Go get help from the Clan

on option C you misspelled Silverfoot, just pointing that out You need to help Silverfoot as quick as possible, if we try to get help that'll give more time for Silverfoot to fall in with the fox, so. A

Adding your wait to the ice won’t help for option a, Silverfoot probably will fall in with c, and getting the clans help will take to long. So, b.

Yeah i'm switching to B, if Silverfoot falls and doesn't swim up again, i will personally make someone eat soup made of their baby teeth.

yeah i'm voting B too. If Silverfoot got close enough to the edge of the lake, he could just jump to the bank A - too many cats might make the ice crack more C - if Silverfoot takes too long, the struggling fox might make the ice weaker or crack more and make him fall in too D - would take too long and what happened in A and C might happen here too

B. Tell Silverfoot to run across quickly before the ice breaks
~~
Kestrel yelled at Silverfoot to run across, oh but one should be more careful in these situations!
One little push was all it took for the ice to break under his feet, making Silverfoot fall in. The fox had lost interest in the cats and finally managed to get out, running off into the woods, water dripping behind it. Kestrel ran up to Silverfoot to help him out. The ice could barely support both their weights, but it didn't crack further. After a while of struggling, they were both back on land.
The snow kept falling and it was freezing cold, Silverfoot was still shivering from earlier. Kestrel did the best to dry off his fur, but that wasn't enough to warm the kitty up.
Silverfoot: "Don't tell Pikestar about this, he'll blame you for everything, then we'll never see each other again." Kestrel: "Aren't you going to head back to your Clan soon?" Silverfoot: "They'll notice that I'm all wet and ask what happened." Kestrel: "Say it was a hunting incident!" Silverfoot: "Why would anyone hunt on ice?" Kestrel: "Good point... I'm sorry I let this happen to you." Silverfoot: "It wasn't your fault, I got just as carried away playing on ice as you did." Kestrel: "At least you're okay."
Suddenly, a voice was heard. It was a rogue.
Rogue: "Hey! You're not supposed to be here!"
Kestrel sensed that they were in trouble. Could it be the food thief, or was it just someone returning to their home? Either way, the rogue seemed angry.
-- A. Attack the rogue B. Question the rogue C. Run away and hide
D. Run back to the Clan
