subject says it all, but to continue it, how do you do what the subject is asking in paint tool sai? I saw many great artists here that have those edges when using pen

It's hard to explain.
It's a pokey edge at the tip of your pen thing when you're drawing. Where it fades offf at the sides, but doesn't smear.

Oh, you mean pen pressure?
You'd need a tablet for that, if you're using a mouse.

yes, a tablet, but also there are different settings you can change on the pen tool in sai. experiment with it, and also the stabilizier plays a part in creating that effect as well.

By the way, if you get a tablet, I personally would recommend the Wacom Bamboo.

Wacom dropped the bamboo line in 2013 apparently and now they're selling intuos tablets which is sort of the same thing honestly but a bit better.
If you do some looking around you can find bamboo tablets but they're going to be hard to find.
