Yvonne winked at him teasingly, gesturing with flapping hands to go on with his conversation. She glanced around at the food booths that had been already set up. Spotting some ikayaki, she lit up a little, though not enough to be seen as peppy. She had a fondness for ikayaki, though not crazily so. She returned her attention to Katashi, who was making awkward and stuttered conversation with the girls who laughed back. As entertaining as this was, perhaps she could steal away for a second and get some food? She started quietly walking towards the booths, Katashi's back to her.
He watched cheerfully as the younger girl ordered her taiyaki. He had recruited a couple of people already, but the more the merrier. It was tiring, but fun work. As she stepped to one side, he trotted forwards, rubbing traces of sleep from his eyes. Bumping fists with the taiyaki guy, he ordered a chocolate taiyaki and a red bean and vanilla ice cream taiyaki, a rather common combination at that particular stand. He made idle chat while he made the taiyakis, and soon held two beautifully golden brown fish, one in each hand. He walked into the arena, where the archaeology club had begun to arrive, stacking equipment in one corner. It was still in use, but soon they would be allowed to set up in the actual ring. Seeing Mai tensely waiting for her opponent on one side made him feel somewhat proud, like a momma hen. He left her piping hot taiyaki on a nearby seat for her, and started back for the entrance.

(Sorry for lateness, was videochatting a friend)
Mai nodded. She didn't want to start off with a punch pike last time, so she quickly flung out her leg towards Kanon's side, hoping the attack would land.
Katashi almost audibly groaned as the taller girl waved him on, looking amused. "E-ehm, did you guys like the food at the Arena? I haven't went around to trying anything yet but I know the vendors from both the Cooking and Food Clubs pretty well. I've heard from some people that if you mention something about this one mascot of one of the TV shows they debuted in, they give you major discounts without telling you. Weirdos." He babbled on about useless information, but at the same time, he felt less scared than he was before, at least.
Ayako had followed him around, though moderately slower. She was busy enjoying the ice cream part, ravenously swallowing it down, wincing as she felt the brainfreeze. It tasted good, so that was definitely worth it for her. She stopped at the entrance to the Arena and leaned on the wall as she waited for the boy to walk back. The Arena stadium looked much larger and emptier without the audience, and she watched, curious, as the archeology club members unloaded their items. They were spreading it all out very slowly, as there was currently a match going on on the other side of the Arena.
Kouki watched the two quietly, leaning forward with his arms on his legs, which were hanging off the edge into empty air. Matches were so much more boring without powers, but even he had to admit someone using their ability against someone who didn't have one was pretty unfair. He let out a breath, blinking when he realized he had left his bag somewhere around here in his seat; he'd never retrieved it. Deciding to go search for it he swung his legs back over to the other side, getting to his feet and glancing around. 'Where was I sitting..?' He wondered to himself, eyes narrowing slightly as he started his search.

Patiently, Yvonne waited on the quickly moving line of the ikayaki booth. She twirled a strand of loose hair absentmindedly, though ever so often glancing over at Katashi to see how he was faring with the girls. No reaction yet, but she was sure it would be a gradual development. Soon enough, she was with two sticks of golden brown ikayaki, and chewing on a bite of the first. Strolling over, Katashi was still babbling, but she quickly cut in and rescued him, the girls looking on confusedly. Taking him by the wrist, which she seemed to do a lot of lately, she dragged him away. In the past, she was the shorter of the two, but with her newfound height, she enjoyed to stress how much more authority she held. "Oh, here." She passed him the second stick. After getting a decent distance from the group of girls and glaring down anyone who came near, she spoke. "So how'd it go? Any takers?"
He greeted Ayako with a smile. "Sorry haha, just dropped the taiyaki off for a friend but she's er, battling right now." He glanced over his shoulder. The third opponent seemed to be exiting the arena, but Mai and her opponent were still at it. "Ah, I guess we can get started? We've only got a little while." He checked his watch, chewing on his taiyaki. Retying his bandana, he strode over to the archaeology members, who greeted him timidly, seeing another girl trailing behind him. He turned back to Ayako. "Alright, so can you help us piece together some of the skeletons? It's nothing too hard, just takes a lot of following your gut."
"Please, never again," Katashi said quietly, accepting the ikayaki graciously. He looked a little ruffled, but looked fine otherwise. "N-no. But, are you seriously trying to hook me up with freshmen, though?" His expression seemed visibly brighter as he remembered that that was what she had said earlier just before they came outside. The boy realized that late, but didn't think anything of it. Well, Katashi appreciated the thought, he supposed, but he didn't think he was into people like them.
"Oh, okay!" Ayako answered. She walked around the arena, looking behind to see if the boy was following. She slowed her pace to let him catch up. "But trust my gut? Hehe, that sounds difficult," she laughed awkwardly. "Doesn't the average skeleton have about, eh, 200 bones?" she asked, a little amazed at that. She waved cheerfully as the archeology club members watched her cautiously. Some of them smiled back and carried on with their work, while the others still looked a little scared.

"Ah, hush. You got to be more open." She scolded, throwing her hands up. "Even I've dated, you know!" It wasn't a lie, but not exactly the truth, either. She had had a boyfriend in first grade, though it had only lasted for two days before she 'accidentally' beat him up. She chewed on her ikayaki thoughtfully as he continued. "Of course, man. There were a lot of them! Surely there was one you liked?" She frowned "Honestly,it's like you're scared of girls."
"About that." He admitted. "But really, it's quite simple when you understand the basics." He crouched down at a gingerly wrapped package and lifted it, carrying it a little ways away. "Alright, I suppose you can begin with this?" Rolling it out, it revealed a large collection of small and feeble bones. "Eh, you can do delicate work, right?" He asked sheepishly. Not wanting to seem sexist, but he assumed that, as a girl, she would be able to accomplish this easily.
"Oh right, I've heard from some classmates back then that you did in like 1st or 2nd grade. That doesn't count, okay?" Katashi sighed dramatically, jokingly faking his exasperation. He looked a little shocked at what she said afterwards. "N-no way, Yvo! I couldn't get anything just from that. It's like talking to a giggling wall- oh, that's kind of... scary." Katashi looked away, feeling embarrassment pricking him. "I'm not afraid of girls... no."
"Eh, really?" Ayako said to herself. She looked at the bones curiously, her expression showing excitement. "It's like doing a milk puzzle isn't it? There's nothing to lead you on, as the pieces don't reveal the completed image," she said, her eyes scanning the package with interest. "I think Katashi would be better at this," Ayako added with a smile. She clapped her hands together."I'll do my best!"
Ducking to the side, Kanon grabbed Mai's leg. He knew she would try to retaliate right after, so he flipped her over onto the ground, hoping to knock her breath out. He then skidded to the side, kicking up dust and dirt. If I can get her tired out after a while, maybe she'll stop.
'ello! i'm a queer elf! you can use any pronouns, though i prefer they/them and he/him! i'm demiromantic and asexual. ok so yea

Yvonne flushed, crossing her arms with an upset scowl. "I-I didn't mean that! Besides, let's not focus on me, alright?" She thought for a moment. "Eh, perhaps the blond one with short hair? Or the tall one with the bruised arm? I liked her... hm. Ah, whatever. You can ask one to accompany you to the cultural festival later! Perfect opportunity to get to know them, hm?" She clapped cheerfully, attracting confused stares, but with a death glare scared them away.
"A milk puzzle? I suppose..." He nodded curtly. "We haven't got much time, so let's get going. Err... Where's the stand for the Gasparinisaura?" He called out to the team, handed a small metal stand. He kneeled down. "These bones here..." He ran his finger along a row of thin bones and snapped portions of vertabrae. "are all real. Normally, we'd bring in our fiberglass and plastic models, but because we were given the arena this year, we can manipulate it to, no matter how they may be jumbled or broken during the exhibition, be healed afterwards. Please be careful with them, as we only have that protection throughout the exhibition and not in set-up."
Katashi was silent, probably thinking. Why did Yvonne put so much effort into this lost cause? He always assumed that he'd basically be single for the rest of his life. There was no helping that. He frowned, looking suspicious and yet somewhat worried. "What are you trying to pull? he asked quietly, raising his eyebrows.
Ayako looked towards him with amazement. Gaspa-what? The girl took in every word he said, feeling breathless. She quickly regained her composure and gave him a quirky smile. "Yessir!" imitating the military salute, she looked ready and quickly got to work, separating the smaller bones from the larger. The dinosaur seemed small, and she was able to put together the pieces of the head area quickly. Was this one herbivorous?

"What do you mean?" She frowned at him. "Can't I be nice- err... helpful?- err..." She paused for a moment. "Honestly I don't know, but it was funny, alright?" She huffed, chomping down on the delicious ikayaki. "Hmm.. how about second years? Or third years? I've got a pretty college coach." She listed off, somewhat teasingly at this point, knowing Kata was fairly exasperated.
She gave a military salute, and he laughed a little before continuing to work. "Alright, so the most obvious bit to piece together would be the vertabrae... here." He passed over several fragments and a certain type of water soluble glue. "This is one of the simpler dinosaurs, I suppose. We're not going to bring in the biggest dinosaurs this year because, frankly, we can't fit a crane in here, but some of the larger dinosaurs, you can leave to them." He gestured to the other guys. "You can help with the fossils, I suppose."
