Mai suppressed a yelp of surprise as she was flipped to the ground, not expecting retaliation of that sort. She rolled up and to her feet, scattering a bit more dust. Wanting to see his initial reaction, she did the same mock-punch deal that she did with Kouki, again with no pattern.
Kanon flinched at the punches being thrown his way, though none hit. Realizing this, he quickly skidded to the other side of the arena, kicking up more dust. He smiled, the dust making almost a fog in the arena. "Let's play hide and seek."

Katashi remained silent. Although he was listening to what Yvonne was saying, half of it was going out his other ear. "Y-Yvonne, I--" he stopped, his expression pained. What..? What was this? It was indescribable, he didn't know what was going on, but something didn't feel right. He sniffed.
"A-ah," Ayako watched as Masaru grouped the vertabae together. She took the glue after he had finished hesistantly, feeling overwhelmed. She did do this before, an exact Velociraptor skeleton replica put together by her and Katashi-- mostly Katashi. She was afraid of messing this up. Licking her lips, she took deep breaths and quickly got to work. Her guesses were mostly accurate, perhaps a couple of them in the wrong place, but she found the errors quickly, correcting her mistakes every so often.

Mai smiled as her mock blows gave her the desired effect, but was almost dumbstruck by Kanon's clever move. She watched and listened tensly, not daring to even breath until she had some clue of where her opponent was at. The only movement that she made was her gaze flicking back and forth. Though her eye movements were quick, she even caught a few individual dust particles in her watchful gaze.
Kouki quickly retrieved his bag, though kept an eye on the match the whole time. He was still a part of it, technically at least, so he needed to know what was going on. He soon made his way back over and jumped up onto the railing, swinging his legs over so they hung in midair over the Arena. They hadn't been doing too bad, though it was interesting that Kanon had made the dust screen like he did. He hadn't expected that from the other boy. Leaning forward slightly and focusing in, he just saw the silhouettes of the two as they moved through the dust. This should be fun to watch. Not a bad move by Kanon, either. He was curious to how the girl - Mai, he thought - would react.

She chewed on her ikayaki, deep in thought. She was almost startled when Katashi spoke. "Hm? You got a stomach ache or something? You don't look too good." She said, peering closely at his face. She pressed her hand against his forehead, an old method she learned from her mother. "No fever. What's up?"
"Ah, yes, yes. Like that." He nodded approvingly, looking over her work. Though the glue wasn't as clean as it usually was, the bones were more or less in their correct place. "You've got it. Just keep going." He himself pieced together the hind legs, working with nimble fingers and a furrowed brow. Soon he'd accomplished them both and retrieved the skull, mixed up with another package a little ways away. "You done?"
Kanon skidded around the arena again, kicking up more dust. He hoped he could kick up enough dust so that she'd be unable to see, then he'd pounce. Then he did something unexpected. Laughing hysterically, he hid in a cloud of dust. "Tag, you're it, tag, tag, you're it."

"No, it's nothing.." He wiped his eyes as a sense of nostalgia hit him like a brick, but oddly, he couldn't remember what it was from. He took a bite from the ikayaki he had neglected all this time, surprised it was still moderately hot. "I'll just.. go take a break," he said, giving Yvonne a small smile. He got up from the park bench and trotted off, possibly headed towards the dorms. The festival was later, he thought he could figure this out now.
"Aah, right now? no-" Ayako placed the final piece on. "-yes!" She had finished her section of the dinosaur's backbone. It didn't look too bad to her but she noticed that she did put a little too much glue here and there. Though, it wasn't all that obvious if you saw it as the viewer. She was proud of this little feat.

Mai was confused now about Kanon's tactics. Going with her instincts, she quietly crept to another, thicker part of the dust cloud, away from Kanon. Okay, he's going to attempt to blind me. Well, even blinds know how to fight. She thought smugly, though with irritation, as well. It was a great, effective tactic. She just needed to work on fighting without being able to see.
Creeping up towards Mai, he jumped towards her back and sat on her back. Crossing her arms so that she couldn't move them, Kanon laughed. Haha, my sanity is loosening by the second.

"Eh? Alright?" Yvonne looked somewhat concerned, but also somewhat frustrated. As she watched his retreating back, she thought over her actions. It wasn't that she was more odd than normal, perhaps he really does have a phobia of girls? She sighed, trying to clear whats left of her train of thought. Putting back on a condescending scowl, she finished what was left of her ikayaki and browsed the food shops.
"You did good," Masaru praised, giving her a brief pat on the head before moving on to connecting the completed limbs. When he worked, he said not a word, and was very meticulous, unlike his usual manner. Howsver, soon, the little dinosaur skeleton was nearly finished. He handed her the skull, insisting that she complete the final step.

The breath was knocked from Mai as Kanon jumped on top over her. Thinking quickly, her arms shot from the ground in front of her to the back on Kanon's neck. Her fingernails, strong and longer than the quick, but not long enough to easily break, dug into Kanon's neck as she tightened her grip. She gave a small huff of satisfaction as she thought of the move to be somewhat like a constrictor. The move wouldn't kill Kanon, as she wasn't as close as she could be to his clavicale notch. If she managed to keep her grip long enough, she could move her hands closer and lossen her thumbs just a bit.
Katashi sighed, covering most of his face with his hands. What was he doing now? This was strange behavior for him. He jogged over to the boy's dorms, his breath even and his pace moderately fast. Due to his room being on the second to the top floor, he usually took the elevator. That seven-story trek up the stairs easily tired him out. He thought that he would just set the alarm clock and come back out when it was around lunchtime. The students often took their time getting settled on the first day, as there were no official classes yet. Although, you could attend some of them if you had wanted to. It was mostly dedicated to finding clubs, your old friends and also getting your dorm rooms set up. He might take a trip to the nurse's office later.
"Ehehe, thank you!" Ayako laughed. She watched the boy carefully connect the limbs that he had completed much faster than her. Her eyebrows were raised as Masaru handed her the skull insistently with a goodnatured smile. She knew that she didn't do most of the work, but accepted it anyway, feeling a little guilty. The skull was attached to the rest of the body soon after. Ayako looked happy, the model finally complete. In record time, too.

Shuddering, Kanon quickly rolled over and shook the shorter girl off his back. Scrambling to his feet, he stared her down. True, his stamina was pretty high, but he didn't like being to offensive. Maybe he could just knock her to the ground... and leave her there for a few hours. I don't want to hurt anyone severely though.
