I haven't been here in so long and I feel so bad because I was on here a whole summer one time and I miss you all
There has been so many reasons for my absence and I'll feel better if you know why I've been missing a while!
I'm gonna start this off with something crazy that happened on September 11th.
A couple weeks ago was 9/11, so I wore my uniform to school with the other First Sergeants and my NCOs. After raising flags and playing taps, we went inside and had our first 2 and a half classes normally. Then, 4 minutes before 3rd period ended, the alarm sounds and we're told we're under a lock down. Someone has called the school and we're under threat of a bomb and someone in the class 2 doors over from my chem lab has four guns. Everyone's whispering until my fellow First Sergeant says, "Guys, be quiet, I hear someone walking in the hall." So everyone goes quiet. And then we hear it. The stepping. I actually started to have a panic attack and cried and the other FS had to cover my mouth because my my crying. All of my cadets downstairs and the older ones at the Senior High were messaging me "What's going on?" "Are you alright?" "There's a bomb?!" "There's like 15 police cars outside dude." "WE MADE NATIONAL NEWS!" "Bruh we're all over the news." "Check Twitter."
About 5 minutes of crying and I finally calmed down. A police man walks in and lets me and 5 others use the restroom before we're quickly herded back in the lab again to sit quietly. My 1st Platoon Sergeant texts me, "Hey, have the police been to your room?" I told him yes, they let us pee, he says "I had to pee in a bag." No one came to his room I guess. They had bomb sniffing dogs in the building downstairs and it was a two hour long thing. I told my cadets I'd rather be mourning my fallen heroes than sitting in a room being threatened with a bomb. Even a day after, no one knows exactly what happened. All I know is it had something to do with a freshman named 'Jamichael' and I tweeted what I found funny- "Jamichael is Jamaican my day." Here are some of the messages sent between me and others yesterday.
So as you know, SCHOOL HAS STARTED! Gross. And as you've probably noticed, there's been a decline in my presence. So, where'd I go? To start off, I'm a sophomore who should be a freshman this year—because of my birthday and the school year age cut off, I technically was supposed to start a year later and so I am the youngest in my grade.
But still, why am I gone? Well, the first day of school I was told my schedule. It changed a few times that day, and this is my daily class schedule currently:
English II Pre-AP
Geometry Pre-AP
Chemistry Pre-AP
A Capella Choir AP
Chinese II Pre-AP
ROTC II
World History AP
As you can see, I have a lot on my plate. Everything I am doing is as advanced as it gets in my grade, and in ROTC, I was informed day one of school that I was the new Delta Company First Sergeant (meaning I'm in charge of 250 kids in total, and in charge of teaching 125 Army Knowledge, marching, and drill). Not only do I have all this academic work and teaching and maintaining a rank, I'm on a state sport team and 2 state Army teams. My weekends are filled with filming for projects, and with the very little time I have left, I'm either writing lesson plans, tests, jotting notes down about cadets, or filming for YouTube/Projects.
That's the best and only explanation I have as to why I'm not around much. I may or may not be around during the holidays either.
Also, my dear sweet Dakiiru is in the senior high now and I only see him when I go there once a week for my Army teams. He's doing well!
If you wonder what I look like/sound like/do now, this is what:
♥ My hair is finally to the middle of my back-nice and long
♥ I'm finally off my growth hormone shots and will continue to grow from my 5'4" where I currently stand
♥ I've got the same big light brown cow eyes with curiosity sparking in them
♥ I have the same high-pitched voice and Australian accent
♥ I have the same love for warriors as I always have; that sticks with you for life!
Message me if you wanna talk and I'll try to get on as often as possible
