Wilth (Flower-based RP) 「One human rules the food chain 」

『 When one plant is too big for a garden, the rest within its prime are all just weed 。 』
After a massive, world-wide nuclear war that started from the ambitions of world scientists which spanned from A.D. 2095 up to A.D. 2100, a decade was spent fixing up the damage in the aftermath. If there's one thing humanity globally learned as if it were a well-known Aesop since that time...
「 Ambition is one's downfall 。」
Food chain rules in nature. And so does among the remnants of humanity. Leaving someone in charge, with the fates of everyone at their mercy is a mistake.
The one who have promised to fix every damage only cut the wounds deeper. Few tissues remain unharmed, but caged within skin.
With little mercy in their heart, they promise to let only one live.
But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
-- Matthew 24:13

If the above is bunk, I can't blame you. I'll put it into less confusing details. Summary, a nuclear war happened in 2095 up to 2100, so only 25% of the world remains. Suddenly, magical botanists gained the trust of people for a decade then they decided to kill off most people except for a few (depends on how many people join this RP). Survivors get caged in a glass dome (to be honest, I'd rather call it a greenhouse) after signing a contract with the botanists to let them live. But one day, the botanists decided to inject the survivors with 'floral essence' which give them magical powers based on flower languages (I'll get into details 'bout that snazzy stuff later) but they also slowly turn into the plant they're based on.
The survivors are now forced into part of an experiment after a year since they were first caged. They have to get to a shrine (which is also a small greenhouse) dubbed the 'Sanctuary'. The first to get there is cured of their affliction while the others die. To get people out of the way, your characters can kill each others, starve to death, get killed by mutant animals and many other deaths. Radical.
The Sanctuary is on the other side of Earth. Within 10 years, the survivors will turn into the flower they're based on. Unless they die first. There was a man who walked around Earth on foot for 11 years, so it's darn straight this seems realistic enough.
To simplify things, the starting greenhouse is in China. The survivors have to walk all the way to Argentina, but there's no rules stopping them from making a raft or magically taming a mutant horse/lizard/whatever is rideable, just ask me first. If your character had decent grades in geography, guess they'll get to Argentina easily.
But wait--there's more. The roleplay isn't that linear. If possible, we could have another ending other than someone 'winning' at the end. The culprits' bases are scattered all across Earth. Some may have decided to collect information about the culprits and try to convince everyone near them to join their cause of finding another way out of this mess or something. Being a generic fight-to-the-death is plain boring.

FLOWER LANGUAGES & POWERS:
FLOWER LANGUAGES & POWERS:
This is definitely confusing, but here's a groovy resource: www.randomhouse.com/rhpg/features/vanessa_diffenbaugh/flower-dictionary/
Still not getting it? Here's an example. If a character was injected with the essence of 'Sage' which means health and long life, they would be more durable and immune to radiation stains. That's a more passive ability, so they could carry weapons (will get to that later) to back that up.
If you want your character to have a more 'offensive' power, try Indian Jasmine. Means attachment. Your character could make things sticky or something.
That's just language example, there's also basing on the botanical characteristic of the flower you chose itself. Holly means 'foresight', but I have an example of its physical characteristic; it's poisonous. That should give you enough ideas.

CHARACTER FORMAT & GUIDELINES:
Remove my explanations before you PM me the form. Surround your form with [ code style="font-size:small;" ] and [ / code ], so I can easily edit into the post.
GUIDELINES:
Floral essence and powers are different. Floral essence is the flower your character was injected with. Powers are what they can do based on that flower.
Your character's powers must be based on both the flower language of the flower you picked and its physical characteristics.
Starting weapons are optional, and your characters can always scavenge for them later. There are lots of abandoned houses and everything.
Appearance won't be affected by the essence until at 9 months passed, so your characters won't be looking different until lots of time pass in the roleplay.
Pointless information, but your character's nicknames will have to be given by other characters. But if it's an alias, they're the one who give it to themselves.
What's missing:
Once the cast is final, I'll make have everyone agree on how their characters treated each other back when they were 'safe' in the greenhouse. Everyone already knew each others before, but now they might have to kill each others. Sounds fun.

RULES:
Username: Smoke
Full name: Tsvetan Sokolov
Nickname/aliases: Sunny, derived from the original meaning of Tsvetan which means 'Palm Sunday', a Christian moveable feast in Bulgarian. Meant to be an ironic name due to his personality.
Nationality: Half-Bulgarian, half-Russian.
Birthday: February 10, 2093.
Floral Essence: Scarlet geranium (meaning stupidity)
Powers: His blind eye, covered by his hair, when looked into for too long induces a headache onto its victim, which increases their impulses. They won't be able to think clearly, making their decisions unpredictably messy.
The scarlet geranium passively boosts his resistance to colder weathers slightly, even with minimal clothes.
Starting weapon: None.
Personality: Sunny's name completely contrasts with how he actually is. He's as smooth as a cactus and as friendly and caring as a cougar--no, he totally isn't at all. He's cold-hearted, very forward with what he says (he doesn't even use sarcasm to hide it) and cares about others' feelings as much as he cares about his personal appearance. He doesn't. He bases his judgement and decisions on what little of his personal feelings and safety alone. He's not a team player at all and prefers solitude.
Appearance:
Backstory: He was two years old when the war started. His father was a Russian soldier, while his mother was a normal Bulgarian teacher. His father, naturally, perished in the war. His mother immigrated to China to get him away from the danger zones. After the war ended, his mother started an orphanage and she taught every children that lived there including him. Most of them were orphans and his mother acted like their parents. His mother failed to realize that she was accidentally neglecting her biological son.
He grew to resent the rest of the children and his own mother despise the living conditions. After a decade, when the botanists who promised to 'fix the damaged Earth' decided to start slaughtering everyone, made a deal that Tsvetan will get a safer living condition, free from radiation and vicious mutants, as long as he sacrificed the orphanage. Obviously, his priority was his own safety.
- Absolutely no godmodding. You're juiced if you think you can kill without permission.
- Attempt to injure, not outright states your character's attacks connected.
- You can make up to 5 characters.
- Don't use a floral essence someone else already used.
- Word minimum per post should be around 50. Use Word Counter if you can't count yourself.
- Inactive RPers (haven't posted in 2 weeks) will be kicked out. Their characters die off-screen because they couldn't put an end to the characters themselves before they decided to dip.
- If you think the rules are a buzz-kill, bite my shorts.
- Follow the forum's rules. Should be obvious, but I want to be hip with the others.

CHARACTER LIST:
Spoilers is bugg'n (experiences on other forum), so I'll only use spoiler tag only when the final character roster is set. I don't want to edit multiple times and watch as the post collapses due to ProBoards doing everything wrong.
