I was going to make this yesterday but I needed to get some rest since I'm sick. In honor of the 15th birthday being yesterday, I have decided to make a list of 15 things about me.
1. when I was seven, I was introduced to a show called 'Twister Sisters' and have been interested in tornadoes ever since. One of my life goals is to be able to see a tornado and to "storm-chase" like the people on the show did. I would like the tornado I see to be on an open field away from any houses. There has been a tornado a half mile away from my house, and I heard it, but I didn't get to see it. :/
2. I am currently questioning my sexuality and I might be bisexual.
3. On February 18th of this year, my grandpa whom I was very close to died. I start crying when I think of how my life is without him and, when I hear the song "You are my Sunshine" because he used to sing it to me all of the time. It would be greatly appreciated if you never mention that song around me.
4. I typically get all A's in my classes, but I stress myself out way to much trying to get those grades. I consider everything under an A- a really bad way because that was how I was raised.
5. I am the only one in my family who supports gay marriage in my family and I get really hurt and offended when someone says something really rude about anyone in the LGBT+ community.
6. At school, I participate in the musical, band, choir, dance team, DAT (*name of my town* acting troupe,) and hopefully the play in spring.
7. As of right now, I want to become a psychiatrist when I get older. I've always been interested in something medical-related, but I can't stand blood so a career like a psychiatrist would be perfect. I'm also really interested in mental health and helping people through their problems. I also want to coach a high school dance team, so I might minor in dance if I can.
8. I hate almost everything at my school and I have plans on switching to the Community/Charter School. Its a different and less stressful way of receiving an education and I would still be able to participate in the few things I do like about school.
9. I have a huge procrastination problem and about every one or two weeks, I stay up nearly all night procrastinating and then finishing my homework quickly (I am actually procrastinating right now.)
10. I've tried to starve myself to lose weight, but it luckily didn't work because I can't go for over 12 hours without food. Fortunately, my self-esteem has greatly improved since I started dressing nicer, so I have not had any negative thoughts about my body since school started.
10. I am a really picky eater. Some of the only things that I eat include pizza, hot dogs from only a specific place, chicken, hamburgers, my version on macaroni and cheese, desserts, spaghetti without sauce, steak, most breakfast foods, cheese curds and mozzarella sticks. My Family Foods class is sometimes horrible for me because we are forced to try everything we make.
11. I might have social anxiety.
12. I am a perfectionist and a neat-freak and people oftentimes tell me I have OCD, which I do not have. It annoys me when people say they have OCD as a joke when it is an actual thing that people have to deal with.
13. Lately, I have been wanting to wear all black some days, but I'm afraid too because the people at my school are super judge-y and might pick on me for it.
14. When I was in first grade, I was attacked by a dog and hospitalized because of it. The dog dragged me around like a ragdoll using my hair and head. The only thing that happened was that I lost some blood and had to get stitches. I also remember the people on the ambulance telling me to stay away. I sometimes think what would have happened if I fell asleep. I think it was some sort of Pitbull-Rottweiler mix that attacked me, but I have nothing against these kind of dogs even though I have been attacked by one.
15. I have really enjoyed talking to everyone on this forum and I am planning to stay active almost all time and not disappear like I have in the past. I have really appreciated all of the love and support from everyone and I hope this wonderful community never comes to an end. Hopefully the saying "all good things have to end" doesn't apply to this forum.
