At first the girl squeaked as the other female approached her, stepping back - but a quick study of the girl made Marina realise that this girl was younger than she was. She swallowed her, straightening her back, shaking her hair out of her eyes.
Feeling sweat beginning to appear on her palms, she tried to speak with a casual air of confidence -- though, it was obvious how hard she was trying.
"I-.. I'm Marina D'Amour. F-Fifth year. Is there a problem?"

Scout drew herself up, lanky girl that she was- she was somewhat taller than the other. A small smile slipped onto her face, gracing her pale features warmly, though her eyes still shone like metal-sharp blades. She looked amused, as if observing a child attempting to amuse a parent in hopes of gaining a share of candy. She let her weight rest on one leg, crossing her arms cleanly across her meager chest.
The cocky looking girl smiled at the other's rather poor attempt at a confident remark, noting her quiet, but quite apparent, stuttering. Ah, intimidated?
"No- Not at all, er Marina?- Hm, was it?" She said, though dropping the name from her memory the second it'd dropped, honey-soaked, from her lips. "Hufflepuff, I suppose.." She huffed, keeping the same, sweet tone- though her disdain was clear, as she winced at the robes, and diverted her eyes.
[rIP I'M APOLOGIZING FOR HER BEHAVIOR ;; I HATE MEAN CHARACTERS BUT I NEED MORE OF THEM]

Marina felt a sense of annoyance building up in her -- just who did this girl think she was? Her annoyed feelings made her more confident -- her eyes narrowed dangerously at the other girl, and she tilted her chin up slightly.
"Yes. A Hufflepuff. One of the most hardworking, honest and accepting houses." she growled these words, the pride she felt for her house being obvious, "Can I help you with anything?"

"As they are advertised." She said tersely, still smiling easily-t- though her eyes were narrowed. She looked her up and down once more, as if surveying a broomstick at a shop, before tossing her head to one side. "Help? You think I really need help?" She scoffed, half-giggling. The Ravenclaw really was acting quite like the Slytherin, as she was raised.
Setting her eyes back on the girl, her expression seemed to have changed. The wariness in her eyes disappeared- as if she'd determined that the girl had no longer any use, nor was any longer amusing to her. And, she had. "No, I don't need help- Thank you very much. You should go look for some, yourself." She aimed, and fired, with a last smile as she brushed past, headed for the mostly empty tables.

"I don't need help with anything. Because I'm not a bratty little girl, like you." She called these words out, loud enough for the girl to hear.
(Oh crap XD)

Stopping in her tracks, she turned only her head, expression unchanged. Her amber eyes glinted, almost evilly, in the glowing candle light of the still rather dim hall.
"I've been called worse, by better. Do care to brush up on your insults, dearie." She said, coldly- though still in her usual speaking voice. She didn't care so much if the girl heard or not, really. She flashed a set of straight, pearly white teeth, and, turning back to the advisors with an innocent and pure smile, she stepped along, hands clasped loosely behind her back.
[These two ;v; omg]
