Ravenclaw values intelligence, knowledge, and wit. Its emblematic animal is the eagle, and its colours are blue and bronze. The Ravenclaw Head of House in the 1990s was Filius Flitwick. The ghost of Ravenclaw is the Grey Lady, who was the daughter of Rowena Ravenclaw, the house's founder. Ravenclaw corresponds to the element of air. The Ravenclaw common room and dormitories are located in a tower on the west side of the castle. Ravenclaw students must answer a riddle as opposed to giving a password to enter their dormitories. This riddle, however, can be answered by non-Ravenclaws. Famous Ravenclaws include: Gilderoy Lockheart, Ignatia Wildsmith (inventor of floo powder), and Garrick Ollivander.
Slytherin house values ambition, cunning and resourcefulness and was founded by Salazar Slytherin. Its emblematic animal is the serpent, and its colours are emerald green and silver. Professor Horace Slughorn was the Head of Slytherin during the1997–1998 school year, replacing Severus Snape, who as well, replaced Slughorn when he retired for the first time several years ago. The Bloody Baron is the house ghost. Slytherin corresponds roughly to the element of water. The Slytherin dormitories and common room are reached through a bare stone wall in the Dungeons. The Slytherin common room lies beneath the Black Lake. It is a long, low underground room with rough stone walls and silver lamps hanging from the ceiling. Famous Slytherins include: Merlin, Tom Riddle, and Dolores Umbridge.
Hufflepuff, founded by Helga Hufflepuff, values hard work, dedication, patience, loyalty, and fair play rather than a particular aptitude in its members. Its emblematic animal is the badger, and Yellow and Black are its colours. Pomona Sprout was theHead of Hufflepuff during 1991 - 1998, Sprout left the post of Head of Hufflepuff and Herbology Professor sometime before 2017 and her successor for the position of Head of Hufflepuff is currently unknown. The Fat Friar is its ghost. Hufflepuff corresponds to the element of earth. The Hufflepuff dormitories and common room are located somewhere in the basement, near the castle's kitchens. It can be accessed by tapping the barrel two from the bottom, middle of the second row in the rhythm of "Helga Hufflepuff" and is described as being a cosy and welcoming place with yellow hangings, fat armchairs, and underground tunnels that lead to the dormitories, which have perfectly round doors, similar to barrel tops. Famous Hufflepuffs include: Hengist of Woodcroft (founder of Hogsmead), Newt Scamander, and Artemisia Lufkin (first female minister for magic).
Expelliarmus: the infamous Disarming Charm, separates the object (or wizard) from their wand.
Sonorus: A charm that can be used to amplify the target’s sound- whether it be a person’s voice or a startling bang.
Colovania: Causes an object or animal to change its color. It is often used for decorating purposes- changing the colors of banners and walls for the holidays.
Impedimenta: the Impediment Jinx, which (appropriately) impedes the forward movement of an object
Tarantellagra: A Charm used to force another person’s feet to dance uncontrollably
Flipendo: A highly versatile jinx, can be used to physically repel an opponent, knock away an object, blast apart fragile objects, and activate magically charmed switches

She enjoys doing new things even if the subject isn't that interesting. While she is smart, she is also a bit of a procrastinator which impacts her work heavily. Her grades don't necessarily match her her brain. Most importantly, Tia is strong willed and will do anything for those close to her. She may wear her heart on her sleeve but she doesn't take shame in it. To her, she stays strong for too long that she has to break down in cry once in a while. Even when this happens, she won't take shame in it and will eventually be better; After all, she tends to be happy, cheerful, and a source of energy. A short white girl with medium brown hair. She has dark brown eyes and freckles across her cheeks. She doesn't have the greatest eye sight so she wears square glasses frames. Usually she wears black clothes with a splash of color but she's also known to wear pretty bright clothing as well. It just depends on what she grabs in the morning. She is a highly valued tomboy amongst Ravenclaw- one of the most athletic of the bunch, though only a tad above average in terms of intelligence. She plays as a beater for the Ravenclaw team, and is highly skilled at keeping it out of her team’s way. As a person, she is generally reserved and has an eerie, almost ominous, aura to her. Her voice is low, but melodic- and entrances most that speak to her, allowing herself a persuasive quality, no matter what she says. People claim that she is part siren, but don’t dare to ask her directly, being that she could easily crush them between two fingers. She is, to many, a mystery, in that most of her past is shrouded in rumors. To strangers, she shies away, not that she is bashful, but rather that she finds most people around her extremely annoying- in interrupting her pondering and other daydreaming. She spends much of her time studying, and therefore is close friends with the librarian. There are rumors that she’d been allowed to browse the restricted sections of the library and, therefore, knows quite a bit on the dark arts. However, it is only officially known that she is extremely powerful in dueling- knowing all spells ever taught to her heart. However, in comparison to offensive skills, she is significantly poorer in terms of counter-spells or healing spells.
She is extremely, ghostly pale- with prominent blue veins running down the length of her arms and her hands. However, she does spend a good amount of time outside, though nothing in comparison to her time spent in the libraries. Her hair is an inky black hue, though may appear blue-ish or purple in extremely bright lightings, and her eyes are a muted amber. It reaches about her waist, but is tied into a reserved pony-tail, swept over her shoulder. She keeps a neat appearance, with a crisp, button-down shirt, with the blue and bronze ravenclaw tie, a grey knit V-neck vest, a pleated skirt, and the traditional black Hogwarts robe with the house emblem on it. She also sports shiny leather loafers and tall grey socks. She resents the cold, and therefore always has a Ravenclaw scarf looped about her neck.

Her eyes are a deep blue, and her skin is very pale. She has a small frame.

Cordelia allowed herself a quiet frown, sitting at the edge of her neatly made, plush blue bed. She tugged at the edges of her prim gray socks, which fit snugly around her calf. Straightening up, and pulling her darkly colored hair into a ponytail, she stepped gently across the room, soft footsteps nonetheless clicking against the dull stone floor. It was far too early for any of her peers to be awake- but she was an extremely early riser. Descending the short stairwell that led to the main common room, her hand danced lightly across the handle- hand pale against the warmly colored oak.
The sun had not yet risen, and the entire house lay dormant (despite the fact that they were not a particularly rowdy group anyhow). She quickened her pace, reaching the doorway- and knocking on the entryway for the Grey Lady to open up, exchanging quiet words with the sleepy portrait before rushing lightly down the stairwell- headed for the Grand Staircase. She moved stealthily, like a mouse- the portraits staring suspiciously after her retreating back as if she was committing some sort of crime.

The Hufflepuff girl made her way slowly through the castle, her auburn locks hiding most of her face. She had a tendency to eat breakfast early, so that she could avoid large crowds of people -- and any Slytherins.
Marina edged into the Dining Hall, her blue eyes scanning the room from behind her curtain of hair. "..."
Scout stepped lightly down the Grand Staircase, navigating it's confusing maze of twists and turns with ease. She spent quite a bit of time in this staircase- uncovering what secrets it held within, and therefore, while any given third year would easily get lost, she found her way to the Great Hall in record time. She clutched the hem of her robes in one hand as she scurried along. Though they were warm, and soft- they were often cumbersome when she wanted speed.
She raised her left arm over her head, hand reaching easily over to the root of her ponytail, and, pulling her arm back down, sweeping it over her left shoulder. The ends off her hair were lopped off neatly- looking as though it were some sort of paint brush, or broomstick, rather. She reached out with an arm, and shoved open the door to the Grand Hall somewhat recklessly. No one was inside, anyhow.
And yet, to her great discontent, she was proven wrong. Standing innocently was a petite girl- a Hufflepuff - who almost seemed scared to look at her- glassy eyed. Scout's face curled into an unpleasant scowl, for a second, a brief moment in time. However, it melted rapidly into a sickeningly sweet smile, as she cocked her head in question. She was usually and always first in the mornings- it was not yet 5 am.
"Who, pray tell, are you?" She asked, almost singing it- though a cold edge was evident in her words.
