Hello! Due to many questions about the game being asked, most of which are questions that have already been answered countless times, I have decided to make this thread which will list many of the Frequently Asked Questions that players have about WC:UT. This will serve as a FAQ and also a guide.
Table of Contents Starting out: Post 1 The life of a Rogue: Post 2 Making a Clan: Post 3 Mates and Kits: Post 4 Other Miscellaneous Questions: Post 5
If you have any questions that are not covered in this thread, please do not hesitate to ask me!

Starting Out*
After stumbling across the game, you download it! What now?
Upon starting the game, click "New Game" and then choose one of the 3 load options, then choose the clan. Shadowclan, Windclan, and Riverclan are unavailable when you first start out. You will then be taken to the create your cat screen, where you can choose from multiple pelts and eye colors
How do I get the locked pelts? You can buy most of them in the bonus shop, using bonus coins! More on that later. ;p There are also some other pelts that are unlocked by a secret code. The codes of which I shall not say here.
After you've chosen your looks, you can decide what your name should be! If you have a name in mind, great! Just type it in! Make sure you do the first part of the name first, and then the second part later. Or, if it isn't a regular warrior cat name, do part of the name first, the rest later.
And now, the tutorial! The tutorial explains the basic features of the game. You start out as a kit, and are asked to talk to the queen, Shinefur, the kit, Treekit, and again, back to the queen. Simply follow what it asks for you to do.
After that, there's the hunting portion. Read the directions Greystorm gives you, and begin hunting. Each prey type has a certain level of closeness that you can get to it. {*Psst, add a chart here k*} After that, there's the fighting. Simply go up to the cat and repeated press space until the battle is over.
Alright, you're a warrior now! You can fight and hunt for your clan!
There are different things that you can do, such as become deputy's assistant, medicine cat assistant, buy everything in the shop, or get your skills all the way up to rank 10! (Or all of these cx)
How do I become Deputy's Assistant? Becoming the deputy's assistant is simple! If you complete 10 quests for the deputy (Preyheart in Thunderclan, Tanglefur in Windclan, Jaggedtooth in Shadowclan, or Coldfur in Riverclan) and 50 reputation, then you can become the deputy's assistant! Being the deputy's assistant allows you to summon a patrol wherever you are. Usually, 1-4 cats will show up.
How do I become Medicine Cat's Assistant? Bring in 30 herbs for the quests given by the medicine cat apprentice (Snowheart in Thunderclan, Lightheart in Windclan, Tatteredpelt in Shadowclan, and Mousepounce in Riverclan) and 50 reputation, and you can become the medicine cat assistant! Each clan will only accept 3 out of the 4 herbs available. Make sure you figure out which herbs the clan accepts!
What are bonus coins, and how do I get them? Bonus coins are almost like a special currency. You can use them to buy different pelts, clans, or other miscellaneous items. Each bonus coin costs 20 reputation, and you can buy them from the elder. The bonus shop can be found by talking to the leader. Bonus coins are only able to be bought and used if you are a clan cat.
What are skills? Skills are simply that, skills! You can buy them using experience points. You can gain experience points by battling (1 point for every cat killed), hunting (1 point for every piece of prey caught), and by sleeping! You get 3 points every time you sleep. At the start, each skill costs 10 experience points. You can have a total of 3 activated, and they appear in the bottom right corner of your screen. Click on them to use them, or by using the number keys 1-3. As they rank up, it gets more and more expensive. You can view the skills and rank/activate them by going to the trainer. (@ self-list names of all the trainers here) The different skills are below:
Claws A basic attack. Hurts enemy cats. At higher ranks, your claws will become more lethal. This is the skill that stays with you always. Simply press space to use it.
Hold Your Ground This skill allows you to specify an area for your ally cats to stay near. It also provides a defensive aura that decreases incoming damage and cures all bleeds. Higher ranks grant tighter control and lower cooldowns. Upon clicking, a little shield follows your mouse. Click again on the place you want the cats to go to, and your allies will try to stay there. This can prevent them from leaving the battlefield. It also reduces incoming damage.
Herblore Using the art of herbal knowledge, you are able to heal allies near you. Higher ranks provide higher levels of healing and shorter cooldowns. This skill will heal all allies near you.
Killing Bite Considered dishonorable by most cats. This dirty tactic will instantly kill your opponent. Higher ranks provide shorter cooldowns. This one has a very long cooldown (10+ minutes at rank 1), but it instantly kills your opponent.
Intimidating Glare You can unnerve your opponent with a sharp glare. This takes some of their health and gives it to you. Higher ranks provide higher health steals and shorter cooldowns. Upon using this, it takes some of an enemies health and gives it to you.
Track Prey You sniff the air for scents left behind by small creatures. This skill instantly reveals all hiding prey in the area. It also reveals any hidden foes. Higher ranks lower the cooldown. Shows all prey in the area. Also can be used to find hidden enemies (such as snakes)
Charge Launch yourself into the battle in a frenzy so powerful that you become temporarily invincible! Higher ranks increase invincibility duration. When activated, for a short amount of time, you cannot be injured.
Roar of the Lion Make your enemies quake in fear with this powerful ancient roar! Causes foes to run away in terror for a few moments. Higher ranks reduce the cooldown. Enemies run away, and possibly out of the screen.
Feral Slash A deep-cutting attack that will leave your enemies bleeding. All nearby enemies are given a damage over time effect. Higher ranks increase the amount of damage inflicted over time. Enemies lose some health over a time period.
Sprint Temporarily increases movement speed. At higher ranks, Sprint will last longer. You can go faster for a period of time.
*Please note that this is currently being written from memory. I do not have access to the game at this particular moment, and as such, some wording may be slightly off.
Anything in italics is for me to come back to and add/edit something later on

The Life of a Rogue
Don't want to be a clan cat? Then be a rogue! As a rogue, you can live the life you want to live; live by yourself, constantly travelling, and hunting food whenever you're hungry, keep a small group of cats, hunt on every clan's territory, or maybe even make a clan of your own!
There's another section for making a clan, so I'll keep this section about other things one can do as a rogue.

Making a Clan
Want to make your own clan? This is the place for it! Exciting, yes? Well, the process can get rather tiring. But the outcome is well worth it!
To start it off... You're going to need thickets! Lots and lots of thickets. Can't claim any cats without thickets! (And moss. But that comes later-)
In order to get thickets, you will need to collect 3 brambles. Brambles appear in many tiles, and can also be seen only by rogues. Neat, huh?
This is the most tiring part. It can take multiple in-game days (I once tried to do it in 4 in-game days. I failed.) unless you never sleep. You take the thickets and place them in however big you want your clan to be-want it to take the entire tile? Put thickets around the edges. Make sure you leave some space so you can get in and out!
Got the walls finished? Great! Now to do the dens. There isn't a specific number of dens needed, but generally clans tend to have 6 dens-leader's den, warrior's, apprentice's, nursery, medicine cat's, and elder's. Once you have all the dens put in, time for the next step...
Moss! For this step, you're going to need a lot of moss. Moss is an easily accessible resource and, get this-you'll never run out! It is a never-ending resource. Fascinating, right? To get moss, simply go up to a tree and scratch it. And scratch it. And scratch it. Until a fuzzy looking green thing pops up. Pick it up, and then continue scratching.
Once you've got some moss, place it in the dens. I generally fill the whole area, but if you want cats in a certain spot, then put moss in that spot.
Once that's done, it's time for my favorite part...
Hunting! You need to put food so the cats know you can provide for them, yes? And you most certainly can, can't you? No? Well, I sure hope you can.
In this stage, you're going to need to do a lot of hunting. Or, if you're lazy, go to the carrionplace, located at the top of Shadowclan territory near the Thunderpath. But the carrionplace only has so much food. You'll have to go there every day for quite a bit of time. So I suggest you hunt. It's more fun this way anyway.
Do you still remember how to hunt? Press shift, go up to the prey, click it, and then release shift. Might take some tries-I don't know of anyone who has gotten every prey they come across, every single time-but eventually you'll get an inventory full of prey. Simply place the prey on the mouse.
Done with that? Now for the most boring part-or at least to me.
Waiting. Yup, that's right. You gotta wait. There isn't a way to make cats come any faster. Go to sleep every night, and if you're lucky, you might get a few cats. Simply wait some more nights and you should have a clan full of cats! Take some cats on patrol, rename them, have kits grow into apprentices, apprentices to warriors... Just like any clan!
How do I make a cat a kit/apprentice? When renaming your cats (Ctrl and then R) if it ends in -kit, then they're tiny and kit-sized! They're also a lot weaker in battles, and will die easily, as is expected. For apprentices, if it ends in -paw, then they are slightly bigger than kits, but still smaller than warriors. They have a bit more durability, but can still die easily if left unattended whilst fighting.
How do I prevent my cats from dying? Well, first thing's first: Keep away from the Thunderpath. As far as I've seen, that's the #1 reason cats-even apprentices if you're an actual clan cat-die. They're slower than you, so they're more likely to get hurt. Just be careful. When battling, stay near the edge. Don't go out into the middle and fight. This way, you can quickly escape to safety if needed.
I hope this section of the guide was useful! If you have any questions, or think of something I missed, do not hesitate to post!
