Episode 1: The Spark
Aster
Aster was sleeping deeply, her paws twitching as she caught imaginary prey. Her pointed gray pelt was spiked up in places, which contributed to her already ruffled fur. It was a lonely, chilly night in the early newleaf, and the moorland was just beginning to bloom in certain places. Suddenly she flinched. There was a light in the distance, and it was growing brighter by the second. Aster flinched, and then opened her eyes, growling. The light was still growing brighter, and she had to strain her eyes in order to see anything but the bright light. Suddenly the light dimmed, and she stared, her green eyes white coins. Standing in front of her was a cat who's very fur was dipped in the galaxies, and eyes were stretched wide with wisdom.
Maple
Thistle and Sunriver pressed tightly against Maple, their flanks rising and falling. Maple had her tail curled tightly around them, never wanting to let them go. Thistle was a tiny brown tabby tom, just like his father, and Sunriver was a golden tabby, like Maple's mother, Moonriver. Maple was so happy. It had been moons since Nightfur had died, and Maple was just staring to adjust to being alone. She had made a small den on the outskirts of the ShadowClan forest, in a secure place that no cat ever came.
She was just about to drift off when a bright light filled her den, accompanied by a piercing noise. Maple opened her mouth in a soundless yowl. She looked down at her kits, but they were still asleep, sleeping just like they had been for most of the night. Maple froze as a cat appeared in front of her. Her fur spiked along her back, and a low growl deepened in a throat. The cat in front of her was beautiful, its very fur was touched with the stars.
Ash and Holly
Ash lowered his belly to the ground, his fur brushing the dirt. He crouched, silently padding toward the mouse nibbling on a dark colored berry. For newleaf, prey was awfully scarce.
In one long jump, Ash catapulted towards the furry brown mouse. He landed with a thump on empty air. The mouse was gone. Then a pair of green eyes flashed, and the mouse squeaked. Holly had been hiding in a bush, waiting just in case Ash missed the prey. Ash righted himself and was going over to congratulate Holly when a blinding light appeared, like they were on a thunderpath. Ash felt himself beginning to panic, and then felt Holly's fur brush against him. He calmed down at that, his breathing easing. Then a cat appeared in front of them, like one they had never seen before. It was dipped in the stars that they looked up at in the night, and it seemed almost weightless, like a feather adrift in the wind.
